Go tto cafe Du Coin for the steak hache. It's a Quebec version of Salisbury steak. I ordered it well done and it came out as ordered. It was extremely juicy and had this flavor of beef butter. Really delicious. You will not need to add salt or even the complimentary gravy. The natural flavor in the beef holds its own quite capably. Topped with firm, grilled onions and very crispy and slightly greasy fries; you can't ask for a better meal. Their beef & tomato soup has little added salt but has a very earthy broth, non-the-less. Combined with al-dente beans, noodles and chunks of beef; it makes for a good and tasty body warmer. The coffee is pretty good, and goes really well with the Quebec style bread pudding (I forget the French name), which is divine. I don't think I spent more than $13 on the whole meal. Cafe Du Coin is well worth the stop over. Don't let the Spartan look of the place spook you away.

Eh. Several locals recommended this place for dinner. French Onion soup was very good, but the Salmon Salad .... Chopped Iceberg lettuce with a few cucumbers and red onion with canned salmon on top. Disappointed.

We came here for a delicious breakfast while staying in coaticook for Foresta Lumina. Cute quaint and cozy little diner with a waitress that gives you service like royalty. She gives the whole diner character. The food was fantastic too ~ had the brunch eggs bacon toast etc.

When in Coaticook, we decided to give this place a trial. First and foremost, the 2 for 1 does not mean that the second pizza is free. On the contrary, you pay almost as much for the second one as for the first one, but they give you two sodas with the 2 for 1 deal. We passed on that one.We ordered a pepperoni, mushroom, and extra cheese pizza. It was assembled and placed on a conveyor belt oven, and it was ready in about 20 minutes. It looked and tasted just like a cheap two for one offering from a national franchise but at a much higher price surrounding $20+. If you like that type of food, this is a good place to go. However, if you like tasty food, there are much better places in town. We are definitely not returning.

Try Souvlaki with filet at this restaurant. Good service and food. This town overall makes you feel in Europe and this restaurant is not an exception. When you come from USA with the exchange rates, prices are much lower than the ones in US. Besides the food is excellent.

Very good experience, food was good, great poutine (real curds), variety with daily specials, great service, prices area really good and large portions. Deserts are homemade and a lot under $3. US Diner feel and prices. I would go back. Great location. Perfect for the wait between close of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and Foresta Lumina.

If your favourite aunt was a good cook and ran a small restaurant, this would be it.We ordered the sandwich / salad plate for lunch which consists of a generous sandwich (good selection) in a croissant and three salads: cole slaw, pasta and green. The restaurant is small but comfortable, staff very friendly and accommodating.

Having hiked the Gorge on a hot morning, we eight seniors were ready for a cold beer with lunch. This was a great spot for a group, sitting at a long table, the steel tanks visible through a glass wall. There was a good selection on tap, my Irish Red Ale available with or without a creamy head! Good variety on the menu as well, at least one of us ordering fish and chips, a vegetarian pizza, and mac'ncheese, the latter served with a generous green salad. All were pleased with their choices, and the prices. Service from a good-natured waiter was excellent. We passed up dessert for the endless flavours of ice cream across the road at Laiterie de Coaticook Ltee., one of the largest producers of ice cream in the province.

Stopped in for a mid afternoon snack. Sat on the patio, which at times was a bit noisy due to traffic, otherwise very nice setup. At the recommendation of the waiter we had chicken wings tossed in blue cheese. They were awesome. Washed it down with local beer & hard cider.

What a lovely surprise! This is way more reasonably priced than I expected considering the ambiance and close proximity to Foresta Luminae. Ate supper on the outdoor terrace. Large portions and tasty food. Would definitely return if in the area. Gift shop attached to the restaurant.Thank you pour les beaux mots!Au plaisir de se revoir
