I asked for the salad to come without bacon because I am vegetarian, and I had to send it back because it had bacon on it. All menu items have meat or gravy on them.

Dined here recently, enjoyable food but delivery was an issueMy French language skills are limited..can mostly understand menus but conversations are a challenge (same for Italian, Spanish)Mrs is vegetarian ...managed to get figured out inside with the excellent gal doing the seating, that in spite of the many pieces of meat in the cooler behind her...lots of options for the non-meat eaters. Inside was quite noisy so we sat out front watching the Tuesday night parade of BRP Spyders cruising past.No prices in the menu on single servings of wine..just bottle prices. Her glass of wine arrived promptly. They have a lot of choices in Table D'Hote section of menu. I ordered the spaghetti starter.."would you like cheese on top? Yes (turns out...$1 extra) and salmon. Trouble was understanding what the salmon sides were...turns out it came with rice and a side salad. Turns out the side Cesar is $2 more. She had a very tasty tomato with fresh mozzarella salad (caprese without the basil) to start..pieces of pine nuts? in the bottom of the bowl...very tasty olive oil drizzled over the tomato that had ponded in the bottom of the salad bowl. She asked for some dipping bread and got a plain white bun. AYFKM...an Italian restaurant without dipping bread? Her mac and cheese was very tasty.I finished the salmon with Dijon dressing, rice and saladWe shared my dessert from the Table D'Hote menu...creme brulee ( at least we didn't get charged extra for the second spoon)Apparently our waitress could not observe my water glass was often empty nor did my repeated request to get it filled trigger subsequent activity. I also gave up on asking/waiting for my tea

First meal where my taste buds were impressed on this vacation around the Saguenay fjord. I had the risotto with black pudding (from apple) and scallop. The pudding was the wow factor. The choice of drinks, beer, the waiter, the look of the place, everything was worth a 5. Glad we found this place on day 4 of our vacation. Hi Sandra, thank you so much for your comment! It's always a pleasure to receive new people at our place. Glad you found us too! ;) Hope you'll come back!

I have not been this disappointed in a meal and lack of management to stand behind their food/service in years. We waited nearly two hours for our food and then when it came in was luke warm at best. The steaks were far from tender and the prices they charged should assure you of good food but this is not the case. When presented with our disappointment the management avoided doing anything for us, the chef should have come out and tried to do better for us but not the case again. I felt bad for the poor waitress and hope she find employment elsewhere where they would provide her help. They came back and offered free dessert of 10% off which was a joke for the horrible time we had. NEVER AGAIN and I hope you avoid them as well.Hi,We are really sorry for the experience you had at our restaurant. We make great effort, as others restaurants, to assure our clients satisfaction. I don't know what exactly happens to have you waiting two hours but we will find answers because this not the kind of service we want our lient to experience.Thank for letting us know and we are sorry for this.

Bobovore would be a wonderful restaurant in any major city in North America. Great food, lovely service, romantic, warm interior. We shared some great plates: the terrine inspiration du chef was wonderful, the rack of lamb simply outstanding, the venison equally great, and the creme brûlée and mi-cuit au chocolate desserts lights out. And given the quality of the food and drink, it's priced remarkably well. Note that the pricing on the menu can be a tad confusing -- for the price listed for each plat, one has not just the plat, but a choice of entree, potage du jour, dessert, and coffee/tea. Which makes this one of the best fine dining values in the universe. And the wine card is excellent and equally extraordinarily priced. (A bottle of very good Chateauneuf-du-Pape for $65C? Yep.) In Chicoutimi, it's an extraordinary find. Do not miss.

Menu looks exotic but we did try a lot of different items. I got the brisket and very nice. Portion is huge on the large order. My friend got the fish fry. It looks good and also is done very nice. Would like to try the Korean pork belly but we did. Definitely a place to go.

Driving around Quebec and stopped in Chicoutimi to see the Maison Blanc that survived the floods. Anyways found this little place and decided to show up. Didnât have a reservation but we were early enough that they seated us. The restaurant did fill up so make a reservation if you want to get a table. We had the Bretzel crusted salmon - just beautifully done- and I started with the green salad with chef dressing- so tasty!! My husband had the legume soup also very good. Everything is freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Staff attentive even though they were so busy. Definitely recommend for a tasty dinner out!! A surprise find!!

Following a major and lengthy strike/lock-out, Hotel des Gouverneurs totally transformed its properties in Sherbrooke and Chicoutimi (Saguenay) by creating somewhat of an upscale experience under the OTL brand. With this comes the Boefish restaurant in both location - and frankly there is nothing else as "trendy" as Boefish in the area so they pretty much have that market all for themselvesWhat I liked: Contemporary, open setting - but without being too loud. Diverse food menu with nice twists on common, and less common dishes. Very friendly and prompt service. Good portions for the prices and definitely premium food/presentation. Food quality is above average. Great mix of flavorsWhat to watch for/could be improved: Meat was very slightly overcooked, but these things can happen. All in, very highly recommended - regardless of whether you are staying on site or notDear guest,We thank you for sharing your impressions. We hope to see you soon!
