The former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia, which gained its independence in 1991, is slightly smaller than New Jersey. With one toe dipped in the Adriatic and several major rivers and lakes, water sports are popular. To the east, the Alps provide excellent hiking and skiing. Nestled below its castle, the capital of Llubjana is a vibrant, youthful city with a thrilling arts scene, a flotilla of festivals and impressive architecture that runs the stylistic gamut from Renaissance to Art Nouveau.

The new glamping resort with thoughtfully designed tents and a tent-shaped tree house. We have two types available: smaller tents, intended for 2 people and larger tents, suitable for 2 to 4 people. A tree house is intended for 4 people. The tents are fully equipped with a bathroom, beds, television, dining room, and each tent has a terrace with a view and a private Jacuzzi.
Chateau Ramšak in Maribor is nice, but for us too noise place for "relax weekend" (tends are so closed, there is no privacy at all). For this money we realy expected more ... Anyway - it is very clean and green resort with lovely breakfast and nice private jacuzzi on terace.

There are not many campsites that are so wonderfully integrated in a peaceful and unspoiled natural background as Danica Campsite. On the brinks of Triglav National Park and with a view of Triglav and the Bohinj mountains, this green oasis along the Sava Bohinjka River is only a glance away from Bohinjska Bistrica, enabling you to spend your vacation completely carless. Or you can even rent a bike for exploring the surrounding area and other places in Bohinj. Experience nature Danica Campsite is located on the edge of Bohinjska Bistrica and is only a few kilometres from Lake Bohinj. It is nestled in an area that gives you a feeling of remoteness and peace, thus offering a unique experience of nature. The campsite is open all year round. It provides accommodation in zones A, B, C and Premium, welcoming: – tents – caravans and – motorhomes. Danica Campsite also rents tents. Pets are welcome Danica Campsite also welcomes dogs. Puppies are welcome if they are kept on leashes and do not disturb other guests. We have arranged a special dog toilet. We organise and provide various services for our guests: – guided tours – water sports – paragliding – fishing permits – horse riding – ski passes – entrance tickets for Bohinj Aquapark – massages – bicycle and – e-car rental Experience everything that Bohinj has to offer!
This camp is too crowded, it has super bright street lamps that will shine into your van or tent during the night, toilet hygiene is poor, the food in restaurant Danica is horrible and apparently they charge you extra if you pay with credit cards instead if cash (no idea if this is even legal). Also no parking space for your car in front of the camp.

I'm glad I didn't read the comments before we went on our camping because I would be discouraged. We went there for two nights, because of the covid-19 inside of water park was closed and sauna also, and the weather was bad so neither the outside of water park was opet, but we got to use pools in Grand Hotel Primus and they were pretty nice. The staff is very nice and helps with everything. The wine barrels were amazing. Cozy little house to stay in. You don't need anything else. On the opposite side of the door there is a window that faces a field of corns and it's really beautiful. The toiles are renovated, it all smells new, and clean and is pretty big. There is also a laundry room if you need it. We had breakfast and dinner at the Hotel and it had various of dishes. I don't eat breakfast usually but after I saw dinner I knew I couldn't miss breakfa st. We went for a massage and when you enter that side of the hotel you enter in peaceful, calm and very nice smelling area. Real relaxing zone. We loved it. Will come again!

This was a lovely small campsite set in a semi rural location. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful to us, happy to chat in English to improve her vocabulary - although very good already. The site was in close walking distance to a supemarket and restaurants and also to rural walking. The caravan pitches were mostly flat and gravel. The toilet block was very clean and tidy although quite small. It was all kept spotlessly tidy - perhaps becaue the owners lived adjacent to it. A lovely place.

Kamp Vrhpolje is a small family campsite located in the garden next to our house in a beautiful wine-growing region of Vipava valley. We also offer you accommodation in a rustic dormitory or in room for two with private bathroom. We also have rent-a-bike, free WI-FI and home-made wine. It is perfect starting point for sightseeing or for many sport activity. Welcome!
We came here for 4 nights and we loved it very much. First of all the staff was very kind! They welcomed us with tea and palinka in the late evening, they gave us farewell gifts and one night they prepared two wine glasses with around 0,5 liter white wine. Since we came by bike, we were hoping for great weather. However on our first day coming from Ljubljana, a storm hit us with heavy rain 20 kms from the place. Fortunately the hostess' husband came for us and brought us back safely. Also he brought us to Ljubljana the last day, because that day there was heavy rain and thunder as well. And they didn't want anything in return! So I think they are very generous and kind. :) Besides the apartmant was great, we had a terrace as well with a lovely view and the surrounding area is full of sights to see especially if you like hiking and riding a bike. The only disadvantage is that next to it there is a church and the bell rings early morning from 6am, so if you have trouble sleeping, you should keep that in mind. But otherwise it was excellent and the staff was very lovely and kind! I can only recommend them.

The camp Zlatorog Bohinj lies mostly in the shade of trees in the village Ukanc, on the shores of the lake. As it is located in the Triglav National Park it offers everything for a pleasant and peaceful stay in harmony with nature and for many activities. Guests can use the natural swimming pool and the lake Bohinj with the river Bohinjska Bistrica is very popular among anglers, kayakers and canoeing driver. The camp is an excellent starting point to visit natural sights - waterfall Savica, basins Mostnica, the nearby peaks, the valleys of the seven Triglav lakes and the highest mountain Triglav (three-head) (2864 m). The camping area is about 5 hectares and is divided into three zones.
This place is totally magical however only after the high season (very crowded). We were there a few times, also with a dog. Place where the camp is located is absolutely amazing. Sanitary facility fine.

Campsite is very uncomplicated, simple and nice. No pitches - just some big areas where you can stay where you want. Some trees around there will help to fix a laundry line or your hammock. Most visited by people who only stay a few nights. During the day quite empty and from the afternoon it gets full. Everyone, staff and guests, were very friendly. Reception and restaurant is completely wooden which gives it some extra feeling of nature. There is a big fireplace at the restaurant where everyone is invited in the evening to have a good time and drink local beer from Kobarid. You have direct access to the beautiful Soča where you can jump from rocks, cliffs or bridges in the refreshing river. I had a great time there and totally recommend it to outdoor lovers.

We are a new campground in Slovenia, located in the Karst region close to the world attraction Postojna cave. The camp is built around a Ranch that has been working with breeding Icelandic horses for the past 27 years, surrounded by the beautiful wild nature and calming views of the Javorniki forests. Our camp is only 7 minutes from the highway and you can access the site directly form the main road, heading towards Rijeka (Croatia). As our motto states, we offer our guests an "embrace of nature" and it is shown as soon as you enter the camp. Our bar is made almost entirely of wood and sets the atmosphere for the whole experience. Stocked with delicious drinks and locally produced food, it is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Our sanitary building with wood and raw stone design offers clean and useful toilets and showers. We offer several camp pitches that can accomodate every combination of guests. At Camp Plana, we hope to make you feel at home.
We arrived & the instant feeling of heaven fell on our shoulders. The owners are so friendly; i’ve never seen them without a smile. The toilets and showers were the most satisfying I’ve ever seen on a camping: very clean and modern. The little kitchenette with washer, dryer and fridge are and extra luxe. I’d recommend this to anyone searching for a place to stay!
