Dreamsea Costa Rica is an eco-friendly, self-sustained, glamping & surf camp, strategically constructed on a 10,000 square meter patch of obscure land, centrally located in the magical jungles of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We provide a unique opportunity for the adventurous traveler to experience the authentic Costa Rican way of life, through a seamless marriage of Surfing & Glamping. Through daily surfing, glamping, yoga, remote beach and waterfall excursions, paired with countless of other activities, our surf camp serves as a foundation to connect with yourself, other adventurous travelers, and Costa Rica's extraordinary offerings of nature and wildlife. Dreamsea is within 2-3 kilometers of proximity to four of the most exquisite beaches (Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta, Playa Avellanas, and Playa Grande) that the Guanacaste region beholds. Our motto is "Collect moments, not things". Once you arrive in camp, you have to check out of regular life and check into your inner tranquility. While you are at Dreamsea, be prepared to open your mind, body, and soul, ultimately forming memories that will last a lifetime. Dreamsea is doing, Dreamsea is feeling, Dreamsea is simply being you.
Had a terrible experience! It’s really unorganized but if you wanna party and don’t care about anything this might suits you but if you wanna go for the surfing it’s definitely the wrong place. As a surf camp to have one surf coach seems a bit like a joke and it definitely was. I’m an intermediate surfer and thought I could improve a bit here. In my first week I didn’t even get surf lessons at all because there were lots of beginners and the coach didn’t have time to teach an intermediate!! I felt sorry for the coach tho because he had to teach classes of like 7 people. He did a good job but it’s just not how it should be. They surf everday in Tamarindo no matter if the waves are good or not. They do excursions to Playa Grande and Avellana but you need to pay 10 bucks extra for the shuttle and also they don’t care if there are good waves or not. The food was ok but usually not enough, plates were dirty and it’s basically rice and beans everyday. The Camp is full of Volunteers so it’s more of a teenie camp. It says they offer a 6 am surf daily. In two weeks there it happened once!!! And one time we were supposed to do it but the surf coach did not show up because he was hangover. I only stayed the two weeks because I already paid for it. I do not recommend it at all! Even if you are short on budget I’m sure you can find a better place than this.

On the beach in Tamarindo, in Costa Rica's Guanacaste province, Hotel Marielos offers its guests a relaxing, inexpensive, and beautiful way to experience the best of one of Costa Rica's most popular resorts. Cabinas are Costa Rica's version of the American Motel. They are usually small, family operated businesses with anywhere from two to fifty clean, basic rooms. Cabinas Marielos is owned and operated by Maria de los Angeles Molina Gonzalez, known as "Marielos", a native Tica (Costa Rican) and retired University Professor.
Don't book here, there is nothing acceptable about this place. No hot water, one bare light bulb in the ceiling, a rooster crowing at 3:30 AM. I tried to check out after the first night and they refused to refund the remaining nights, saying it was my problem.

Our main objective is the unique experience that our hotel can give combining personalized attention and a warm sensation of home. We give our clients the opportunity to have an almost virgin beach just 100m from us where they can live unforgettable experiences while they relax with the assurance that a room equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, coffemaker, kitchen and utensils will be waiting for them at the end of their day in the tropical paradise of Playa Avellanas, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Welcome to Hotel Cabinas La Playa where we make relaxation an art!
The hotel is small and nice. The owner is a really nice person. The cottages are lovely, with a terrace where you can eat and see the beautiful trees. It is very well located because is in front of Playa Lagartillo and very close to Avellanas and Playa Negra. Junquillal is also near. It is a pity that they are neglecting this hotel. I chose it because I said that cleaness was his strength, but now this is not the case. There were spider webs all over the place, the toilet completely stained, behind the back of the bed and the doors they have not cleaned in many days. There is no supervision. I hope they can correct these flaws because the place is worth it.

We are a small hotel located in the center of two national parks, Miravalles volcano and Rincon de la Vieja volcano. We are close to many activities: walks in the parks, zip line, volcanic activity, thermal water spas, waterfalls, local culinary experiences, among others. We cordially invite you to live a unique experience, in a virgin tourist area.
We stayed here for one night before heading to another hotel in the area nearby. The host, Jorge, was so accommodating, kind and knowledgable about the area! He treated you as a friend passing through his home. When we arrived it was raining and a bit chilly, Jorge made us hot coffee and warm sandwiches free of charge. Would 100% recommend!

We have enjoyed wonderfully relaxing 12 days in this little paradise. A home away from home unless you are a perfectionist. The hosts, Tommi and Jammi are kind and helpful and there for you when you need them. The rooms are clean, the breakfast perfect for a good start of the day. Riccardo the cook prides himself in preparing a exceptional meal for you on request or one has the option of preparing a meal in the common kitchen. A short stroll from the pristine beach which offers places to eat or enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. We are looking forward to our next visits!

Located in the middle of the Tropical Forest in Guanacaste, you can first hand experience meeting all kinds of animals and vegetation and enjoy the beach just a few minutes away. We have 10 comfortable bungalows in harmony with nature and make you feel at peace. Each bungalow has a private bathroom, fridge, air conditioning, a beautiful balcony. We are just some minutes driving from Junquillal beach, Playa Negra or Playa Avellanas, we are also 20 minutes away from Tamarindo. You can enjoy many activities in the area like snorkling, surfing, golfing, fishing and much more. Tamarindo area is very well known for its variety of activities, all of which you can enjoy there, and come back to your quiet peaceful bungalow after.
As long as you don't mind being about 15+ min. drive away from one of 2 beaches in the area, the setting is quite nice in the forest with 10 cabins spread out along narrow (and somewhat dangerous) raised trail. They have nice birds in a large cage and howling monkeys which you could see fairly close. The swimming pool is nice although it can be hard to find shade at times being fully exposed to the sun. The problem is with the smallish cabins with terrible mattress, NO INTERNET service except in the lobby area, and a fairly far walk between lobby and cabins (and depending which one of course). They did have some nice, soothing music playing from the lobby which trickled through the groomed forested property. It was especially troubling and frustrating on arrival and trying to check-in with a family suite of 2 bedrooms and shared 1 washroom, which was twice the price of a single room cabin, that they wanted to charge more for 4 pax ... but the hotel was empty and no other business ... so why were they arguing and giving us a hard time when we were the only business (especially the defiant mother or grandmother) ... we already paid the price equal to 2 double cabins, but still wanted to charge more for 4 people in a family cabin with only 1 washroom. Made no sense and wasted so much time arguing about what we booked and offers to refund our money. To top it off, even though we arrived BEFORE 2 pm, they already charged the full price to my credit card earlier that day ... even though the web site clearly states no pre-payment required. We wanted to spread the charge over 2 credit cards ... but it was too late. Could have even wanted to pay cash, but too late. They claimed it was their perogative over and over again, even though they advertise differently. If we hadn't showed up by 10 pm, I could understand processing the payment then in case we didn't show up at all. This is not the way to handle tourists and your customers. A real shame. Would never stay again for the unfriendly service, lack of internet and frumpy beds.

Last time I stayed on a tent was more than 20 years ago, and this glamping concept made me fall in love with the idea of camping again. The property is clean, well maintained, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, the tents are comfortable and I love the idea of a private bathroom while glamping! I enjoyed so much Jorge's delicious and delectable food, the chef is a genius, food made with love is all you need to nourish your body and to navigate the day happily. You can walk to the beach, and the access is also an adventure of its own, going trough the jungle saw monkeys and armadillos. This experience has it all!

They have 3 swimming pools and also 5 more natural looking pools. There are things for kids to do including a play area that rivals most parks in North America. The service is good and the restaurant was a little pricey but the food was good. It only costs about $10 us to get in. They also have a picnic area if you're looking to save a few bucks. Good bang for the buck.
Located in a quite rural little townn called Tempatal, which is full of lovely secrets. We offer 4 cozy cabins with private bathroom just 5 minutes away by car from beautiful Puerto Soley. The property has BBQ area, fruit trees, organic farm and plenty of space to enjoy.
