Lillehammer Tourist Centre is situated in beautiful surroundings, with spectacular views of lake Mjosa and the Lagen river! Lagen and Mjosa are renowned for their excellent fishing. The motel comprises double rooms, family rooms and rooms for the disabled. All rooms have own bathroom and cable TV. Campsite with amenity block. The campsite offers over 200 pitches for caravans, campervans and tents, with easy hook-up to electricity and cable TV. Different standard cabins for 2-5 people and with spectacular views.
This hotel has clean, silent rooms with bathroom...But You can not find anything to eat or anyone for help after 20:00 PM ...And if you don't have vehicle it is far from the city center....The price is reasonable.. .

Bessheim is situated 970 meters above the sea-level in Jotunheimen in Norway, run by the cousins Kari and Ragnhild since 2005. The season is from about February 1 – October 1 every year. Bessheim is a mountain hotel and we do hire out hotel rooms, cabins, apartments and a campground. In the hotel rooms in the main building it is shower, toilet and sheets on the beds. The cabins and apartments are situated just beside of the main building, and it is 2-10 beds in each of them. It is kitchen, shower and toilet in almost all of them. In the restaurant we do serve breakfast buffet every morning, you may choose from an a la carte menu in the day time and in the afternoon we offer a good three course dinner. We make traditional Norwegian food, and we like to prepare for example mountain trout and reindeer from Jotunheimen. The main attraction in the area is to hike over the famous Besseggen Ridge, and it is 7-8 minutes driving to the ferry which takes you in to Besseggen and the national park Jotunheimen.
We stayed here for 3 nights in 1 hotel room (the cabins were booked full, so I can't comment on them). We choose 3 nights because that allowed us to choose between 2 days to hike Besseggen Ridge. We are glad we did because we arrived and our 1st day was rainy and foggy. The 2nd day was perfect with morning clouds and then sunny. Anyway - back to the lodge. We enjoyed the basic hotel room that had large bathroom and my wife says the shower was fabulous with excellent water pressure. The beds were 2 twins pushed together, but comfortable. The included breakfast started at 06:30 but we grabbed some items before we left for the hike at 6:05/10. We didn't eat at the restaurant as it was expensive. We had a cooler (which the front desk refrigerated for us). The wifi is only available near reception and didn't reach our room, but we chose not to get a data plan during our Norway holiday. But the only reason to choose this lodge would be the location - right around the corner to the Besseggen trail head. If you don't want to camp before of after Besseggen, this lodge is simple, yet perfect.

We rented a family room for one night in July. Would not recommend more than a night for passing by. The room is a little dated, but bed was comfy enough. Very good size room, and the room actually consists of a room nr 2 with two smaller child beds. Perfect for a family of four. Nice guy at check in. Small led tv in room and small fridge. Nice toilet/shower. Be sure to ask for a room away from the E6, or there will be a lot of traffic noise. Breakfast was adequate with warm eggs and bacon, nice bread and bread rolls, selection otherwise was ok ÷. Dinner tasted like food warmed in a micro. The place is family driven, for better or worse... For instance it states free WiFi, but it is unstable, and so slow it is impossible to use. All modern hotels have high speed WiFi in year 2020 in Norway. Speed tested to +- 1 mbit in room without the place being packed out... Netflix and even normal surfing was too slow. Also, the place is advertised with a summer pool, which would be included in the price in any normal hotel. On their web page and Facebook it is _NOT_ stated that it actually costs 30kr pr person pr day for guests! 50kr if your not a guest. Although not expensive compared to most things in Norway, for a big family staying for a week it would amount to quite a lot just to have a quick swim. Somehow feels like you are tricked having to pay pr person pr day when they do not state it before you actually arrive. Update your web page asap.

Sjodalen Hyttetun and Camping AS is idyllically located at the edge of the woods in Sjodalen, just off the national tourist road Valdresflye (Fv51). Here we are in the bottom of the valley, 850 meters above sea level. We have cabins and camping-wagons available for rent at our site. The camping site is in driving distance of the popular mountain hike, Besseggen.
We have two German pointers (= vorsteher) and New years eve is usually very stressful. This year, we went to Sjodalen, and it was perfect. Peaceful (no fireworks), cozy and clean cabin, good food. Very good possibilities for skiing in a beautiful landscape. We will be back!

A remote beautiful location. We stayed while skiing the Troll løypa. Recently under new management who are extremely service minded and helpful. Comfortable cabins, built in traditional Norwegian farm style. There is a small supermarket for provisions, but meals are also available in the main building. Dinner and breakfast was really excellent. Recommended.

29 Cabins of different standard and sizes. From small ones with all in one room to larger ones with 1-3 bedrooms, kitchen with equipment, living room and bathroom. Restaurant/Cafe. Activities.
Together with a friend we spent two nights at this friendly place where you can dine or just settle for a glass of wine, normally these places are separate. All the better when the owner sits down for a little talk and make people connect if they want to. The place is run by a young couple and the service is good, the food spectacular and can only compared to restaurants in town. We also went on an muskox safari, and saw three close up and fifteen or so altogether. Excellent guide, comfortable walk in a beautiful terrain. We were hiking along the pilgrimage route.
