Think you need an ocean for a beach? Think again. There are miles and miles of sandy lakefront beaches in Michigan (thanks to the four Great Lakes that border it). The west coast of Michigan has especially nice beaches—try a rental in Muskegon, Grand Haven or Saugatuck. You won’t need a car when visiting Mackinac Island. In fact, they’re not allowed—this lovely Victorian resort town is pedestrian-only.

Bear Cave RV Resort is a wonderful place to experience the great outdoors, meet new people, relax, and be a part of history. We have the only naturally formed cave in Michigan. This cave has a lot of history, through its connection as a stop on the Underground Railroad and the silent film "The Great Train Robbery". Bear Cave RV Resort is a peaceful and fun park, focused on family fun in a friendly environment. Enjoy our many weekend scheduled activities or make new friends and create one of your own using our many onsite amenities. Stand near a Native American Conference Tree or watch wildlife trek through our campground. From this Southern Michigan RV campground you can fish in the St Joseph River or rent a row boat or kayak. The Bear Cave RV Resort staff is here to make your stay a pleasant and memorable experience!
Overall our stay was great! The staff was super hard to find or contact. I think for our weeks stay we saw 2 employees. The sites were a nice size and most of the people there respected the quiet times.

These are nice cabins and my favorite place to stay in Mackinac City. The room was very clean, refrigerator and microwave, and two sinks. Reasonably priced. They no longer offer a continental breakfast, but did give us a card for 10% off at several local restaurants.

The 220-acre Thousand Trails St Clair RV Resort and Preserve has wooded wilderness, valleys, rolling hills and a small flowing river. Our friendly and courteous staff is happy to provide information about events and festivals in the area, or recommend great places to eat near our Port Huron RV campground. 5 miles east is the Saint Clair River, one of the busiest waterways in the world. Guests of St Clair RV Resort can swim, fish, boat, or just watch freighters from the longest fresh water boardwalk in the world. Visit nearby Port Huron, the boyhood home of Thomas Edison, and explore the Museum, take a trolley tour or a cruise down the river. This Port Huron RV campground is one hour from the world-renowned Henry Ford Museum, the Detroit Zoo, and three major casinos, and only 12 miles from the Blue Water Bridge crossing to Sarnia, Canada-so don't forget your passport.
Do not miss the FORD museum, Sarnia Canada, and the Detroit Zoo. We stayed here one week in our 5th wheel toy hauler. Did not use campground bathrooms or showers. Shower in pool area was cold water only.

Very special place on Beaver Island! Owners/staff have thought of every convenience for your carefree enjoyment! Even our dog was treated as a special guest. Very nice, newer super clean bathrooms, spacious tents and comfortable bedding. Our private camp area felt secluded, yet a short walk to common area pavilion, kitchen, coffee station and great conversation with staff and guests (if you so choose). Complete relaxation! Not from town, restaurants, hiking trails, etc! We loved it and will be back for sure!

Dunes Harbor Family Camp is a Christian family campground located by Silver Lake and the Sand Dunes. We offer full hook-up sites as well as water and electric camping sites. Dunes Harbor is on the shores of Lake Holiday and has 50 waterfront sites, pull-thru sites, and group sites for families and churches to camp together.
We spent four wonderful days at Dunes Harbor. It is now at the top of our list of campgrounds to stay at. We have been camping for decades, and Dunes Harbor has surpassed all camps we've been to. The sites are spacious and beautiful, the facilities exceed your expectations, very well maintained and clean, and the staff are amazing. We can't wait to go back!

A family vacation spot for those who love to camp. We’re located one short mile from the beautifully unique Silver Lake Sand Dunes. With over 200 campsites and 16 rustic cabins we have plenty to offer families traveling together. Accommodations include a bathroom facility that is comparable to high end hotels, heated pool with pool side gazebos, and outdoor amphitheater for movies for starters.
Everyone was wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Has everything you need to just stay at the campground or visit the surrounding attractions. Very clean and spacious campsites. Family friendly atmosphere.

Sleeping Bear Resort sits on 450 of lake frontage on an undeveloped "no wake" lake. Guests at the resort have free usage of the beach, kayaks, canoes, fishing boats and stand up paddle boards. There is also a large water trampoline.Sleeping Bear Resort is a popular family gathering destination. It can accommodate groups of up to 46 people. The resort is centrally located half way between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
We rented The Lodge at Sleeping Bear Resort Dec. 26-30th to give my brother and I a place to gather our families together for the holidays. We had the full resort to ourselves! Family came from Houghton, Marquette, West Bloomfield and Traverse. Truth be told, we seldom left the house, spending our time playing games, watching movies and, of course, eating! The lake was frozen - we saw a few fishermen and women out there each morning - but it was warm so we didn't trust the ice. Maybe next year we'll bring our ice skates and fishing gear. It was great to have uninterrupted time to reconnect. The house was incredibly clean and exactly as the website indicated. Everything was perfect!
