Welcome to KustCamp Gamleby. Closest to Astrid Lindgren's World, when you like to stay by the sea. New servicebuilding with top standard built 2016. 30 cottages from four to eight beds.
Camping site in a nice location by the ocean. Rented a cabin which was well equipped but price was higher than staying in a hotel! And hotel would have included cleaning & breakfast. Nice swimming facilities and things to do for children. No chance to use grill/fireplace if it rains. Even when it is sunny, need to have your own wood.

Welcome to Vastervik Resort- at the heart of Vastervik and its delightful archipelago. Wake up to the scent of pine trees and the sound of waves lapping against the shore. Go for a swim or do some fishing whenever the fancy takes you. Enjoy a stay in a chalet, on a camping pitch, in a static caravan or youth hostel, all set in a stunning archipelago with both the sea and forest right on your doorstep. There is plenty to keep you busy – the Lysse children’s club, football golf, golf, bouncy castle, kayaking, fishing, adventure mountain, billiards, zipline, evening shows and much, much more. You will never be bored, and can always rely on us to go the extra mile! If you a really exciting day out, we recommend a visit to the Upplevelsebadet water park, with its slides, hot springs, climbing walls, rapids and a mini pool for the youngest members of the family. If you want to unwind and just enjoy the moment, there is a relaxation area with a Turkish hamam, Roman bath and several different types of indoor and outdoor saunas, all set in a wonderful Mediterranean climate. Our attractive restaurants serve everything from traditional Swedish summer classics to Mediterranean favourites, served in amazing settings reminiscent of Italy and Spain but located right here in the southern Swedish countryside. We tried two places an apartment and a cabin. Both equally horrible. The apartment was so noisy that we could hear the people upstairs walking around LOUD. Don't order apartments. The breakfast was equally horrible. They didn't have milk, so we told them and they where just "you're right there is no milk" and then nothing. We had to argue with them to get milk. The pictures on their webpage of breakfast does no where near resemble reality. Service is not a word that is used here. Nothing is included as you would expect from a resort. Aircusions, paddleball, swimmingpool... everything cost 80 SEK an hour for aircusions! 100,- an hour to rent a bike. It is simply ridicoulus. When called the number to get access to the court of paddleball (a sort of tennis) we got a text saying "I am at the movies" WHAT!? We paid 320,- SEK an hour and lost the first 15 min. I simply can not recomend this in any way. It is a camping site. NOT a Resort. It is overpriced and oversold crap. We lasted 2 days.

The campsite is located by the beautiful Lake Nossen, just 5 minutes by car from Astrid Lindgren’s World. The terrain is both sloping and flat down towards the lake.
Stayed just one night. Breakfast was very basic, and probably better to just get your own. The apartment was very small and was good for one night, but would not stay more than that. Smell of sewage in the bathroom. The surroundings are nice and tranquil. Friendly and helpful staff.

We were a family of 7 so we booked two cottages close to each other. The cottages had four twi storey beds, a table, for cgairs and a little kichenett - everything in one little room. Not so much space and not so cheep. Public facilities areas were very comfortable and clean with lots of place for everyone. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage village for two nights. It is very close to the Astrid Lindgren's World park and quite comfortable. Children were happy, they made friends and played football and mini golf. There is a little shop to buy necessities there too.

In the idyllic countryside of Smaland our camping lays only few meters from the beautiful, 17 km long Lake Langsjon. Our 40 camping lots with electricity are individual, with lot of green - sunny or shady and very spacious. Our camping is situated near to Astrid Lindgrens Varld in Vimmerby and the beautiful archipelago of Vastervik. You need the Camping Key Europe.
At the Entree you can see an award this campingsite once won: "Sweden's best campingsite". Yes, no doubt it's a good one due to courteous service and accuracy in details. The new washrooms are the best I have ever seen worldwide on a campingsite. It was build without looking on costs. But there a thousand other sites with more quietness. Unfortunately the road 40 adjacent to the site is loud. And during my visit additionally the moving machine ran across the site at 4 and 5 pm. The time when visitors usually arrive or come back from their day trips and would like to relax on the site. There are better times to make noise. The street is loud enough. Well, not a site for more than one night. It's a pitty. I like the crew (except the man on the mowing machine) and the service.

At First Camp Gunnarsö-Oskarshamn you can enjoy a holiday in nature set within an idyllic archipelago along the coastline of the Baltic Sea. At the camping site, there are some pretty walking trails, sunny cliffs and child-friendly beaches. Astrid Lindgrens World – (theatre and theme park) and Glasriket (kingdom of crystal) can be reached by car from the site. Ferries also depart from the harbour to Öland, Gotland and The Blue Mermaid (ca 2,5 km from Gunnarsö). Welcome!
Checkin and general information prior to stay was very clear. The area was just stunning, cottage was cozy and had all you needed. We were not informed of the wifi password so that was a bit bummer. The cleaning was unfortunately not good.

Accommodation with the park at your doorstep! Astrid Lindgren’s World offers a number of different accommodation options. In our newly built “The tiny town” you can choose from small cottages to large houses with space for many guests. If you prefer to stay in a cottage, you can choose between a basic cabin with shower and WC in our modern service building (shower, WCs, kitchen and laundry room) or a modern cottage with private bathroom and kitchen. In connection with our holiday village there are several caravan and mobile home pitches, all with electrical hook ups. You also have free access to our service building around the clock.
We stayed at the Astrid Lindgrens village in connection with a visit to Astrid Lindgrens word the next day. Check in was easy enough, and we found our way through the village to our “house” amongst the village. They have done an excellent job making both the housing and the playgrounds in theme, and they are well maintained. Note there is a pretty extensive checklist as others have noted about how you must clean the house before you leave. Ours was quite small but big enough and in good condition including big fridge and cooking facilities. As the houses are built so close to each other, we had issues with the amount of noise from other families partying outside in close proximity to the house where all windows needed to be open to cool the house down while putting the kids to bed. Cute yes, but for the steep price the lack of sleep from the noise and the time spent cleaning the following day took the gloss off the visit a little.

This is great place where you can really meet the nature. Placed just between two lakes, perfect for walks, kayaks, having a fire insted of grill and to takine your time... Bungalows are great furnitured and equipped. Extremally clean and well maintained. The best equipped kitchen I ever met in such places - not a plenty of stuff, but exactly waht you need to cook during vacation. Price? For me, nordic countries are generally expensive, but comparing to the other places in Sweden I've ever been - it's definitely value for money. I recommend. There was no WiFi but for me - even better :)

First Camp Stensö-Kalmar is beautifully located on a peninsula in Kalmarsund. In the surroundings you will find many beautiful beaches and areas to explore. This is a popular place to relax for both locals and tourists. With the lovely town center of Kalmar only a short walk away there is always something to do. More than the lovely days in the sun by the beach Camping Stensö also offers beautiful walking trails, possibility to rent bicycles and canoes, a mini golf course and a playground with a bouncy pillow. During peak season there is also many kids club activities for the children. Kalmar offers events for the whole family and has for several years been voted to “the number one summer city of the year”. From the camping site it is 3 kilometers to the city center of Kvarnholmen with a beach, boutiques, cafés, restaurants and the popular square called Larmtorget. If you want to go for day trips Kalmar is the perfect starting point for visiting Smålands glassworks and Öland with its many tourist attractions.
We stayed in one of the ‘deluxe bungalows’. It looked very new and was very comfortable. Ours had two bedrooms - a double and a bunk room, a comfortable lounge area and a kitchen, with a full size oven and hob and a good sized fridge freezer. There were terraced areas to sit at the back and front of the bungalow, with table and chairs at the front. It was so lovely that we ate outside. The setting is lovely. The area is wooded and the bungalows have plenty of space around them. From the back, we could see the sea. It was so lovely to sit outside. We were there at the end of the school holidays and found the site to be very peaceful. It is just a short walk to the beach for swimming. There is a supermarket on the site, but we couldn't Get all we wanted. However, there was a supermarket near by. Bedding was provided but the only things we lacked were a tea towel and oven gloves. Maybe pack them to bring with you. We also weren’t sure if we could get WiFi so just used the 4G on the phones. We loved staying here. It was such a lovely change for us on our road trip to stay in something other than a hotel. Nice staff here too.

Welcome to Sandviks Camping, approx 33 km south of Färjestaden. Stay in a quiet, scenic setting right by the Kalmar Strait.
One of the nicest campgrounds I’ve been to. It’s right on the ocean shore with tons of space for campers, RVs and tents. Setting up camp on the grassy beach you get a stunning view of the south Baltic with gorgeous sunsets, but also at times some strong winds. Camp further in behind the trees on a large meadow like area, some with power some not. Washrooms are kept spotless and showers and laundry are free. The folks running it are very nice, helpful and multilingual. Öland isn’t a big island, so all the sights are close by in all directions. I was only staying one night but stayed for three. Highly recommend!
