My husband and I were on a road trip and we saw Under Canvas was in the Glacier NP area. I had never heard of it, but my husband who never been camping wanted to try it. First off, it's pretty expensive. I got 17 of our 21 nights with points, so I didn't mind spending a little more for the 4 we had to pay for. Our tent was a deluxe tent with a deck in front of the tent. The "doors" and "windows" had netting that could be zipped to keep the bugs out while letting a breeze in. The tent consisted of a bed, seating area, bathroom with shower. The deck also had room for a small table and two chairs. There is no electricity. There are a few battery pack to keep the lights and fans working. The only heating was from a wood stove. Our tent didn't have parking at the tent, but the parking area was close by. The staff was nice and friendly. The only storage is a chest at the foot of the bed. No closet, chest of drawers, no drawer in the night stands. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. There were some community areas with 2 fire pits with about 10 Adirondack chairs around each. There was also an area for grilling and tables and chairs for dining. There were nightly activities and morning yoga - goats not included. So for the negatives - all chairs, inside the tent and out, were terribly uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that we would have to have our own chairs to stay at another Under Canvas. Watch what time of year you decide to stay at an Under Canvas. We didn't use the wood stove as we were told we would have to feed it every 45 minutes. They did offer to start it for us. When you take a shower, hold down the chain a minute to get the hot water going. And the hot water came out in spurts, alternating between cold and hot water. The water was frigid if you didn't let the water run. This is probably a great place for families with kids. If you're older and not experienced with camping, this might not be the place for you. To us, Under Canvas seemed geared more for younger people that older people.

Somers Bay Log Cabins has been providing guests with a unique Montana lodging experience since 1998. The cabins are custom built and feature views of Flathead Lake, porches with gas BBQ grills, kitchenettes, flat screen TV's, free wifi and much more! We're located directly across from Flathead Lake and Somers boat launch/beach, in Somers, Montana and just a short walk into the town of Somers as well.
The service, the cabin and the views were perfect for my husband's surprised birthday weekend getaway. I HIGHLY recommend this place as we WILL stay here again when we visit. Also great central location depending if you want to go to Poulson or up to Whitefish.

Welcome to the Reclusive Moose cabins. We have 4 seculded cabins off the beaten path from the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. The cabins were built in 2012. They feature full kitchens, outdoor seating, bbq area & firepit. They are 10 minutes to Glacier National Park & all your Glacier park adventures.
Not a thing was missing from the Reclusive Moose cabins except additional time to spend there. Proprietor Ryan was exceptionally friendly and super helpful with suggestions about places to visit. The cabins lacked nothing - seriously comfortable and well equipped as well as impeccably clean. This place will be visited again and again.

Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, atmosphere pleasant. The two nicely designed relatively new buildings have spacious rooms, some with a kitchenette, an outdoor deck/walkway approach, and space to spread out outdoors to sit, visit,or enjoy the views. The Fisherman’s Mercantile is the go to place for common fishing equipment, flies, and supplies. The atmosphere is friendly. Next door is a restaurant,(seasonal) which makes for time savings for outdoors activities and families alike.

There is a fresh breakfast buffet and we offer home cooked meals for dinner.
Love the place! The owners are amazing and so is the staff! They really were great while we stayed a week there. The only complaint I have is they could upgrade the mattresses. Otherwise it’s perfect. Can’t wait to vacation there again.

My husband and I took an impromptu trip to Eureka to play golf at the Wilderness Resort and were thrilled to be able to rent one of the cozy cabins at the Homestead Cabin Resort. It was perfect--clean, nicely appointed, thoughtful amenities and very comfortable. Loved the easy check in and appreciated the owner stopping by to make sure everything was to our liking. We highly recommend these cabins and plan to go back!

Stay in one of our beautiful cabin suites with flat screen TVs, fireplaces and kitchenette. Enjoy all our outdoor activities including hiking, walking, animal watching. Play a game of ping pong or foosball in our guests' game room. Just minutes to some of the best bass fishing, ATV riding, hunting and snowmobile trails. 18 hole disc golf course onsite. We are located in the woods surrounded by nature. Fresh air and breathtaking view.
The cabin was rustic and simple, but clean and relatively new. The location is remote but not at all hard to find. It has a central building with board games, card tables, a TV lounge, a fire pit, and some outdoor games. There is also a guest laundry, and grills. We saw deer from our porch in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

We began our northwest trip in Cabin #3. Traveling with 5 adults, it was perfect for us. There is a master BR and full bath on the main floor and 2 full beds in the loft area. It was unseasonably hot during our stay and they even brought in a portable AC unit for the loft which was an unexpected, but much appreciated amenity. Our grown kids shared the loft area while mom and dad claimed the master. The kitchen is well appointed with high quality cookware and utensils - much different from our usual rental experiences. Dining options are limited in the area, so this allowed us to prepare breakfasts and pack lunches to take into the park with us. By far the best part of the unit was the front porch where we enjoyed coffee and quiet time each morning. The view into the forest is just simply serene while the sounds of birds welcome the morning. For colder weather travel, there is heat and a gas stove (which we did not need). Also there is a quality stacked washer and dryer unit in the bathroom area. Approaching the cabin does involve a dirt road, but any vehicle should be able to traverse this, except maybe in lots of snow. You are staying in the woods, so I would emphasize the importance of not leaving food outdoors and be “bear aware” (though we did not see any). If we ever return, and I hope we do, we would most definitely rent again!

Join us in the peaceful and staggeringly beautiful Polebridge, Montana, for a true slice of paradise: 21.3 acres of land, 10 of which are forested; a swift and cold creek that is a pleasure to fish; and awe-inspiring views in every direction. Here you will find the Cabins at Hay Creek, which provide the comforts of home in an off-grid and eco-friendly environment. We are proud to be solar powered and to pull water from our own wells. Our goal? To leave no trace. After all, this land belongs to the pine trees, the fir trees, the aspen; it belongs to the bear, the elk, and the snowy owl. Humans are the visitors here, and we strive to be the best guests we can be. When you stay with us, you will enjoy a two-story, two-bedroom log cabin with expansive windows and great views north toward mountains so tall they look to scrape the heavens with their snowy peaks. You get a private bathroom with hot water, a full kitchen, a living room and dining area, a private deck, and a propane grill with fuel included. With Glacier National Park just down the road, our location is impossible to beat.
We stayed in the middle of the three cabins though the other two seemed equally nice. Mary was very helpful in insuring our stay was comfortable without being intrusive. The cabins are super clean and comfortable. I have never stayed in a place with a better view. Make sure to get a Bear Claw at the Mercantile down the road! I'm glad there are places like this tucked in to this quiet corner of Glacier. I miss the long lingering dinners on the deck. Thanks!
