Find nature, tranquility and community at Colibri Camping ad Eco-Lodge - nestled on a beautiful mountainside looking over the Valley of Flowers, 30 minutes from La Paz but a world away from its hustle and bustle. We have cozy tipis, family cabins and tent spaces in a large grassy area with hammocks and fire pits. Fully-equipped kitchen, wifi, outdoor hot-tub, spotless bathrooms with hot showers, bbqs and undoubtedly the best views in La Paz. We are British-Bolivian family run.
Conveniently located only a short ride away from La Paz’s hustle and bustle, Colibri Camping is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. The lodges are beautiful, clean, cozy and well equipped, and the views from there are truly breathtaking. We enjoyed lazing around in the hamacs, but there are also some great hikes and day trips that can be done in the area (e.g to the muela del diablo, valle de las ánimas…). Rolando and his team made us feel very much at home during our stay, highly recommend!

Many of the below reviews appear to be mixed up with the reviews of the Ecolodge on Isla Del Sol. Please note that this Ecolodge is warm, has good wifi, and doesn’t require a massive walk to get to the top. The showers are warm, too. It is about a 15 minute walk to town, but the peaceful nights are worth it. The staff didn’t speak much English (really we don’t speak much Spanish to be fair) but they do their absolute best to make you feel welcome and provide a great Desayuno. This is not a five star resort but it is a hard working lodge run by some great people and i would love to return one day.
An amazing place to connect with nature. !!!! Coimata is characterized by being a rustic place where nature predominates, there is the famous duck pond, a place where you can enjoy the pure water that falls directly from the mountain !! You can enjoy unforgettable moments and see unsurpassed landscapes without taking any risk !!. What are you waiting for? =

Our lodge is 5 minutes from the town of Coroico by car. We have a large property with paths were you can enjoy nature and see wild life and plants. Our cabins are fullequipted. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, liquidizer, pots pans, glasses, plates, etc. Pets are welcome. We encourage families to stay with us so they can share quality time together. We also offer food.
I loved the location of the cottage, in the middle of nature, but still close enough to the town to walk there (you can also take a taxi). The cottage was really comfortable, good bed, cooking material,... You can also choose the time of your breakfast, depending on what you plan to fo that day. Wendy can give you ideas about activities in the area.

Horrible!!!! if you like animals, and You want to see them, don't go!!!!!! the treatment of the "guides" was terrible too rude pedantic and they didn't even know what they were talking about, you can't see any animals only cages, cages and more cages, all dirty full of garbage and plastic, a waste of time and money, they only tell you "sad" stories of animals to make you donate money, they sell plastic being "ecological" the guides make you have an awfull time, and they have a lot to learn, Visit the Samaipata Refugio for animals, the place is beautiful, the treatment, the animals, the cleanliness, Senda Verde is embarrassing

Berraco del Madidi is a Bolivian rainforest EcoCamp specializing in multi-day tours. Located deeper than any other operator in the Amazon's Madidi National Park, we are committed to offering our guests the most authentic rainforest adventures. We promise personalized service; we accommodate only eight guests at a time and tailor the tour to your interests. We offer a wide variety of adventures like hiking, rafting and fishing, each led by a qualified and experienced guide. While the adventures are rugged, our EcoCamp is relaxing and comfortable. We invite you to swing in our hammocks, enjoy our traditional meals and experience life in the jungle. A local enterprise, Berraco del Madidi is committed to sustainability and to benefiting our indigenous community. Your visit supports the people of San Jose de Uchupiamonas.Daily rate includes transportation to the EcoCamp from Rurrenabaque, accommodation, meals, activities and private guide.
Don’t use Berraco de Madidi to visit the park !!! Firstly, because since the Covid, the responsible Pedro, only live in his village with non access to phone or internet connections. It means you almost can’t reach him and so he can’t. Secondly, because he is the only one in Bolivia who ask me to pay 50% in advance. Thirdly, because when I paid him he swore me that even if I was alone, he could start the tour on a specific date. Thus, I schedule everything accordingly. Not receiving any news from him, I kept sending message to him until reaching him finally around 10 days before the trip to then learn the date confirmed was not anymore possible and needed to be postponed by 4 days which wasn’t possible for me. Last but not the least, when I ask for reimbursement of my 200 $ he didn’t give me any pretending not having received funds on his Bolivian account whereas he asked me to pay him on a US account and I had given him the proof of payment ! So just skip this agency which isn’t trustable and take another one. I can advise the alternative one that I’ve used which was Madidi jungle ecolodge.

Paradisiacal Retreat with 6 guesthouses with different "eco" styles; a nice "Garden Cafe"; Herb shop; 40+ terraces with biological vegetables (no use of pesticides or herbicides), native park with a great view of the town from the stone throne. Reservations includes the option to experience and cook with our own herbs and edible flowers. Just a "Must" to stay with us.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to La Vispera, we ordered eggs for breakfast and waited more than an hour for eggs, when I asked if it was going to take any longer they said were going to have to wait even more. Unacceptable service, they do have nice dalmatians.

I was there for 4 nights and the garden is very beautiful. But as samaipata is a little more moist and rainy, i had two days without something to do. As it rains, everything was really cold and the outdoor kitchen and community space has sparcely any opportunity to relax and is very old. The kitchen worked, but the Equipment is old and for example the pan hadnt had a grip to hold. There are only three chairs to use and even if the hostel wasnt booked fully, it was some time hard to eat and cook in the small space. Finally there wasnt even toilet paper, which Will happen in Bolivia but still is in a hostel unhandy, as i want to feel welcomed. The people are very nice and helpful, as well as the place which is beautifully made. Still It is a nice place to stay in nature and enjoy samaipata for some days, in a some more rustical way.

Below the beautiful Tunari Mountain and only 20 kilometers from downtown Cochabamba, we find "El Poncho" Eco Center, characterized by its ecological and ethnic architecture combined with a wide diversity of vegetation, fauna, and incredible landscapes. "El Poncho" is an energy replenishment place which was built inspired on the star position of an Andean constellation. Its mission is to be a resting and self-searching experience to visitors.
We spent the day at El Poncho for 90 BS each. We had the best vegan lunch of our trip at this amazing place. Hernan and his staff were very nice, attending all our needs. The Sauna session was amazing, the perfect treat for ourselves to end our Bolivian adventures. We took a micro-bus (colectivo) to Quillacollo and got off at Plaza Bolivar, then we took a taxi (I forgot the name of the company but Hernan will tell you) and for 30Bs took us to El Poncho. It was a wonderful day.
