This place is magical. A beautiful roomy campsite with plenty of spacious pitches and cabins, a lovely pool and the most welcoming new owners. If it is on your route it is a must!! if it isn`t put it on there. We would definitely come back and would stay much longer. St Gaultier is a lovely quiet village and only 8 kms away is Argenton. In between is the fantastic medieval village of Saint Marcel complete with Roman ruins. The food at the campsite is cheap and tasty and the refreshments reasonable. It does need upgrading in certain areas but I am sure Adrian and Delph have great plans and plenty of energy.....A must !! No I am not related

Located a 15-minute walk from the historic town centre of Bourges and Val d’Auron lake, our campsite is set in grounds of 1.3 hectares and has 107 pitches, shaded and unshaded, along with new generation mobile homes. Nestled in a verdant setting, Camping de Bourges is an ideal base for enjoying a whole range of activities available nearby including sporting activities, city tours, relaxing, shopping, markets and cinema visits.
Very tidy and well-run site only 15 minutes walk from Bourges centre. Reception staff very helpful. We stayed in a chalet which felt brand-new and had nearly all the amenities we needed. Only lacked aircon which would have been nice in May as the temperature reached an unseasonal 30C during the day. However at night it was reasonably cool. But in the summer I imagine it could get very uncomfortable. However, we will definitely add this to our list of places to stay on our way through France. It was lovely to be able to walk into Bourges, and also to the nearby restaurant “Le Grain de Sel”.

Set 1,000 metres up in the stunning scenery of the Alps, Les Cariamas is at the gateway to Ecrin National Park and within easy reach of the Serre-Ponçon lake and the Rabioux-Durance river. The 150 pitches, which all have electrical connections, are pleasantly shaded and many offer beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. There are some mobile homes and chalets to rent. There is an outdoor pool on site.
We enjoyed a very nice weekend there in family (2+ 5) in the large chalet. Beautiful site in beautiful area. The accommodation was basic , somehow outdated and requiring maintenance but very comfortable and cosy. Excellent and friendly service from the whole team, from reservation to manager and at the grocery store. Special thanks to Brigitte ! Dahan family - Israel

Only 5 meters away; health paths, buffet restaurant with panoramic view over the Loire, canoe club. You can reach the city center on foot or by bicycle. Mobil-homes 4/6 pax
We arrived before noon, and received a warm welcome, and speedy checkin. The English-speaking receptionist gets a top 5 star rating from us. Thank You! Order bread and pastries from reception which has a small shop section. Free WiFi around the reception area. Sanitary facilities are clean with plenty of hot water. This site offers an ACSI discount. Our stay cost €16 per night including 10 amps electric. A €1.26 tax is levied for our stay. A bargain.

Lovely little chalet, with double bed. Do bring your own bedding it is a camp site! Well equiped kitchen with fridge, a 2 electric stove. No toaster and kettle but coffee maker. There was also an aircon / heater but we didn't need it. The toilets and shower bloc were very well maintained and clean. We were welcomed by the french owners who couldn't do enough for us.

Surrounded by green areas and along the river, the site is ideal for green holidays and relaxation. Enjoy nature and tranquility while remaining close to the city center. Stay in traditional pitches or mobile homes. You will appreciate the warm and friendly atmosphere of this campsite. Make the choice of a comfortable stay with modern facilities.
Loose dogs, dog fights, dogs left yapping for hours in vans - no one seemed to care. The owner/manager lives in a dishevelled shanty-town style set-up - old caravan with dirty old awning and filthy table, chairs, cooking pots - and the dog’s house made of old boxes and bits of plastic. Not the way to run a business!

Direction Ivoy le Pre - route de la forge 18380 la Chapelle d'Angillon, departement of the Cher. The site is 110 miles south of Paris in the Berry region in the middle of quiet countryside, 20 miles North of Bourges and only 25 miles from the motorway network. It is a nature lovers paradise with many wild birds and butterflies. Level throughout, the siting of vans is straightforward and the new owners have restricted total numbers to 49 pitches (approval has been given for over 100) ; this generous approach is typical of the young couple who strive to preserve the calm of the locality. Caravans, campervans and tents are all welcome here with ample space in the open or beneath the shade of the many trees.
This is my favourite campsite in France. It is small, quiet and peaceful. If you need to get away from all the noise this is the place for you. Staff is very welcoming, efficient and accommodating. You can choose your own spot when arriving. You have shaded, semi shaded and sunny spots. You can come with a camper, caravan or tent. They also have accommodations (big tents or caravans) The toilets have seats, are clean and always have toilette paper. Showers are also clean and spacious. You can even adjust the temperature of the water! The site has a ping pong table, badminton net and games like jeu de boules, scrabble, etc. They have microwaves and a washing machine. The site is located next to a big lake and castle. Lake is not suitable for swimming but you can go fishing. There is also a small river which you can use to cool down. This is what camping in nature is all about!
