This place was discovered by me this year, have been to pisciotta/palinuro for many years now but have not until now explored this beach. This year we did and found it lovely. A nice bar/restaurant and sun beds where available. And the walk down from roads end was so beautiful. Walked through some sort of jungle and at the end through a green portal of trees grown together. Worth every drop of sweat, rewarded with crystal clear water in the ocean at the end.

This is a local basic pizzeria so you really can't expect too much from it, Pizza costs from â¬4.00 - â¬9.00 each. Salads about â¬3.00. Not much finesse in the cooking and so not the best. Not a lot of ingredients in the pizza but I don't know if that's the way pizza should be. No wifi available though you might be able to latch on to the bar's across the road.

We arrived early at 7pm with our children, and we're seated by a very unfriendly waitress in a hot, airless place right a the back of a pretty much empty restaurant. We asked whether we could move to an area with breeze or fans and we're told no, shortly after we noticed other groups turn up without reservations who were seated in the area we requested. Perhaps it was because we had children, v poor attitude. We then were served the worst pasta I've ever eaten, greasy & tasteless, and the pizza was soggy even the kids thought it was awful, insalata mista was a joke and again I think we were overlooked as a family table. Grumpy stuff, terrible food and uncomfortable place, wouldn't recommend, there are so many better places.

This place was recommended by the receptionist at the hotel we were staying in. The waiters were really helpful and encouraged me to try the special antica marina pizza which was a pizza like a sandwich and with carpaccio on the side... It was huge but delicious! Two pizzas and one liter of house wine plus dessert was less than 35 Euros. Great value for tasty food!

I know very well Marina di Camerota and, I tried almost all the resturants there. I went to "Ammore e mare" 2 weeks ago and I had a very good dinner. In the resturant is written on the wall: " the menu is decided by the sea"... it's true!!! Very marine style. It's tiny and is better to reserve a table.

We stopped here on the way to Lecce from Naples in the middle of October. Although the waitresses were wonderful (speaking fluent German, English, and some French), the food was atrocious. We started with the octopus (which was ok) and also ordered the meat tray with a pork chop, veal chop, and sausage. We can only guess that the chef was not present, because what came back was a burned pork chop, extremely rare veal chop, and partially cooked sausage. None of it was edible. We would have sent it back and asked not to pay for it, but we just wanted to get out, so we paid and left.

First of all explore the hill down of Camerota and all its steep alleyways. Once you worked up a sweat stop for a drink and lunch / dinner at this Osteria. Great location in a small alleyway. Friendly service. We only stopped gor a drink but will come back for dinner. Great ambience and athmosphere.
