Le Bistro Morisyen is a family business which provides food of quality at affordable prices in a cosy and unique setting. We are located on the Coastal road of Flic en Flac after Clinique de L'Occident and beside the bakery.
My friends had been here a few times and loved this place and the food, so I went with them, we all had the burgers and there are excellent!, served with fries and salad. The family who own the bistro are really sweet and friendly.

typical local Kreol food
Wow!We were staying in Laraid & we were told of Mama Helenes restaurant @ home, where Sindhy produces amazing fixed priced evenings.Having no idea what to expect we were warmly greeted and offered a local rum with nibbles. All this was a precursor to the feast that followed! The food was superb & we asked that Sindhy herself join us as she was able to go through the recipes, My partner was in food heaven talking with someone else who has a passion for food!We will not be forgetting this event for a long time to come! In fact I canât wait for the opportunity of a revisit.Sindhy herself was an absolute joy and we learnt so much from her about the culture and the island of Mauritius. An absolute joy!I'm happy you liked the dinner and enjoyed the evening. I'm looking forward seeing both of you soon again!Sincere Sindhy

We are the first & second generations Chinese born in Mauritius and our restaurant specialises predominantly in Chinese cuisine. Our menu is varied and includes some typical Mauritian dishes for those wanting something different but equally yummy.
Really nice Chinese food but be careful the portions tend to be massive especially the rice. Starters were also quite big. Very good value and good meal and service.

Being the café in the shopping centre our expectations of this place werenât too high. Iâm glad to say they were easily exceeded and we had a lovely lunch. The setting is actually quite nice outside with plenty of shade if needed. The service was really friendly and helpful and we had two delicious ham and cheese baguettes. A couple of large beers and the prices were quite reasonable so we would definitely return.

We stopped here for a light lunch and enjoyed a wonderful (off piste) salad. The staff were happy to amend the menu choice for me, and they came back with a wonder creation...well done.Cheery and efficient staff. All three that served were 'jolly' and happy in their work which added to the experience of good food.Crème brule for dessert. Good coffee too.The only bad thing...big rain, which made us stay longer, which is not so bad right?Thank you for the message. It is nice to see that our efforts and the change of staff can bring some satisfaction to our customers. Hoping to have the chance to see you again.
Where to eat Seafood food in Tamarin: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We were fortunate to get a table without a reservation when we decided to visit Rib & Reef, securing the only one available at the time. People arriving soon after us were turned away so reservations are recommended. We came especially for the seafood platter - and we weren't dissapointed. The platter was enough for two of us along with a side of fries. It consisted of crayfish, prawns, mussels and white fish . All fresh and very tasty, but unfortunately our fries didn't come out with the food. The restuarant was incredibly busy and service reflected the fact. It was still a very enjoyable meal and I also enjoyed one of the speciality cocktails.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of trip advisor review. We were not disappointed.....we went there again and again. We stayed at the Sofitel in Flic en Flac. We dined at the Hilton and at Sugar Beach as well as the Sofitel.However....we found the food at The Creole Shack the best value for money.Good home cooked food run by a mother and daughter. If you are looking for frills....this is not the place. If you are looking for food that the people of Mauritius eat daily....this is the place....great value for money. We will definitely be back.

A hidden gem right on the edge of a peaceful beach. Cozy local classy laid back ambience & great food. Special attention to detail & young and dynamic caring team.
We went there because of multiple recommendations on TripAdvisor. Despite of the fact that the hotel is great and really nice, the restaurant itself was not what we expected. Quite soon we realized: it is more show than reality, kind of an In-Location, but not too much known for the dishes itself. Looks like some snobs would like to been seen there, that is it. Having a good dinner you can get it for less money somewhere else. When we asked for the starters and desserts, some of them were already out. Since the menu is not a large one, we expect at least some availability even it shows also all of the ingredients are fresh bought and used. However, the dishes we got were all good, finally. Fresh spices and herbs, good combination and choice of ingredients, Creolean kitchen. The ambiance is as mentioned before really great! That is why we are calling it also a kind of In-Location, kind of Ibiza Style. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, supportive and gives you recommendations. We appreciated that of course. Finally, 4 points on TripAdvisor.
