We didn’t visit this place because it was closed on many evenings, but according to another tourist this is a place where locals go to eat good sea food for a fair price. Anyways more restaurants should be listed in Sainte-Anne, since there are many more than those listed at the moment (2014, January).

The Fritterie Saintannaise

Excellent restaurant to get delicious grilled food. I ordered the half poulet with sauce that was described like this, "onions and carrots and other things" which was not a great marketing technique! I tried the sauce anyway on my poulet and LOVED it. Loads and loads of flavors that complimented my chicken. The chicken itself had amazing smoked/grilled flavor, and then when I added in this orange sauce (looked a bit like thousand island dressing but trust me that was the only thing the Fritterie's sauce had in common with the common salad dressing), my mouth thanked me. The fries weren't typical of steak fries - no crispy sharp edges - but they reminded me of the best of poutine fries from Quebec. What I mean by this is these fries were soft and brown but, just like the chicken, had loads of flavor in them. I'm thinking that they must have added in grease from the chicken to get them tasting that good. Just delicious.Be advised that if you're driving, parking on that street is really tricky. You're best going down the main street with the ocean on the right, and then taking a Left on one of the few lefts you can make downtown...it's the left where that Orange mobile phone company sits on the corner. On that street, past the pharmacy (which is on your right), you'll have a better chance of finding parking. The Fritterie is around the corner on your left. Also note: they are closed on Sundays.

Stopped there twice and had their famous blackened chicken oven bokit ( bokit au four poulet boucané) , their oven bokits are excellent and , in my opinion, much more tasty than fried bokits.Would recommend, as everything is handmade and prepared on order, treat yourself to one of their cocktails while you wait for your takeaway.

This is the restaurant attached to the hotel Le Relais du Moulin. It is a lovely setting, and the service is very good. Our scallops for our valentines dinner were very overlooked, but we loved the chocolate dessert. Another night we had the lasagne, which was awesome. Our last night was a chef creole menu and it appeared the kitchen was overwhelmed, as it took forever and was not very good.

They advertise a plat du jour and have a number of dishes ready to serve. The owner said he and his colleague cooked all the food fresh everyday. We were a little late arriving so a couple of dishes were not available - had sold out. We chose Bourse, a local fish and were able to choose two side dishes to accompany it. we chose vegetables but there was rice, couscous etc. For our desserts we chose tarte au pommes, very good and flan coco also very good.It is a small seating area in front of the cafe facing the beach and the market. The owner and his colleague were very friendly.Thank you.
