We went to this restaurant as it was the only one in a strip of restaurants that had room, and, to be honest, the food looked quite adventurous from the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and both of us ordered different chicken dishes, as neither of our first choices were available. All the tables are haphazardly set up on the pavement with a complete mixture of chairs. We could see the cook quite openly and she did not appear to be run off her feet although she had no help, and there is just one person doing all the waiting and serving and billing. The food took an eternity to arrive and one of our chicken dishes was in fact beef whilst the other, a chicken curry, turned out to be bones in brownish sauce, both served with a kind of sludge of solid rice. No-one in the restaurant as far as we could see was eating, let alone enjoying, their meals. The restaurant does not accept credit cards and perhaps it should not accept customers either.

Set price menu and very good value for money. we had a three course meal that was very tasty, excellent boudins and accra, some really good ragout and flambee bananas that were as good as any we had.

As noted Red Snapper was terrific. My French is rudimentary at best so the kind cook inquired in her rudimentary English as to our tastes. Settled on chicken in peanut sauce for me. Should have asked for more spicy(it wasn't at all), but very nice comfort food. An enjoyable meal of fresh food served with a lovely attitude. And the price is right, which is a surprise in Guadeloupe. Would definitely return.

I was very much looking forward to dining here as we were staying literally steps up from this restaurant in the Corail building of the La Creole Resort. This a beautiful atmospheric dining room, all teak wood and open to the sea, protected by plantation shutters. Its a fabulously unique and intimate dining room. Unfortunately waiting for our dinner took over an hour after the very disappointing and overpriced appetizer (a rubbery cold Asian style rice wrapper spring roll filled with next to nothing). The atmosphere is indeed spectacular in every way, dimly lit, romantic, built right into the cliff rocks open to the crashing waves so that certainly helped with the wait, but our wines quickly turned warm as our patience grew thin. My lobster, fished out earlier from the tank right near us, was good but SO overpriced! $55 USD ( 9 euros/ per 100 grams) compared to better seasoned fresh grilled lobsters at other restaurants, including one at Zion Train in Anse-Bertrand that was literally half that price but not half the size. The lobster came with a spoonful of pumpkin puree and a cubed eggplant ratatouille. Nothing bad but a weird flavor combo and just not that enjoyable. My husband liked his lobster pasta but I found it too creamy and one dimensionally seasoned. Frankly, the overly long wait for our entrees kind of ruined the dining experience, coupled with the high prices. Desserts were also extremely expensive and considering how long we waited for our entrees, we passed. In summary I think you should dine here if you're staying at the hotel but maybe skip the appetizers and focus on the less costly items so as to not feel ripped off. Its also possible that the daily specials are a better option but I personally did not want to order what was on offer the night we dined there. My impression is that the chef is "dialing it in" for resort guests, but maybe we were just there on an off night. Definitely reserve a few days in advance and maybe ask for one of the table towards the back of the restaurant/and by the windows for the best dining atmosphere if you don't mind dim lighting. There are a few tables in the front that are bright, especially the ones near the hostess stand. The other option is to have lunch here, which seemed very pleasant, breezy and relaxing, especially after a morning swimming and sunning at the beach and pool.

Baptized with the name of the owner's daughter, Chez Margaux is a restaurant whose colorful decoration puts, from the door crossed, in the joy and good mood. The welcome is at the rendezvous, the team has a smile and knows how to transmit it to you! You w
Just had outstanding family dinner at Chez Margaux!! The food is delicious and we really felt like being invited by friends. Great, most sympathetic people working there. A 100% recommendation for those looking for a special restaurant with flair and attitude.
