The food was all prepared fresh when we arrived, the pot of tea was lovely, nice china cups & loose leaf tea and they had skimmed milk! Good choice of sandwiches, (you get a choice of 3 fillings from a comprehensive list) nice fresh cakes and very friendly attentive staff - HIGH TEA - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :) Good value for money, they do vouchers so would make a lovely gift for Mum or Mum in-law, or even your daughter which is who I went with and spent some rare quality time together in a nice relaxed environment..

Large country cafe offering home made food and cakes in a friendly atmosphere. Function room for parties and events. Free parking.Dog friendly.
Visited recently for coffee and cake with a friend. Coffee and cake was satisfactory. Our visit was spoilt by a female member of staff who was talking so loudly and animatedly with staff in the kitchen, that we couldn't have a conversation ourselves as her voice was cutting through us. She also used the 'F' word which was not pleasant when you're trying to have a relaxing coffee and a chat with your mate. She then moved to behind the counter near the till where she was talking loudly across the café to a table of people she knew. We left at this point as we'd heard enough.Itâs a shame you didnât speak to a member of management on your visit. Noise does carry from the kitchen and we canât excuse the bad language. Bleadon cafe is a very happy friendly place and most of our customers are like friends. There is a quieter area upstairs so hope you will visit again.

Placed an order for three breakfast baps at 9.34 am - till receipt time. Sat down half an hour by our watches still no baps arrived. Chased up order to be told that orders take half an hour. We were not told this at time of order. Also told till receipt time 10 mins out. So by even the cafes times by 10.25 am we gave up waiting and left at 10.28 am. Asked for refund only to be told that chef plating ! I appreciate a delivery of cafe items came whilst we were waiting so unsure if this put chef behind. All in all sad experience and would not visit again. I guess this is more of an issue if people pay for parking. Had an elderly relative with us as well. We have been to Stones before, seen it busier and food coming quicker. Not height of season yet for this issue. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with your visit but I would like to point out a couple of more accurate points. Unfortunately you did not order at 9.34am as you say you did. I know the till receipt says 9.34 but as explained to you at the time, due to a computer area on the till the receipt time is inaccurate. Your order time was in fact almost 10.00am so you would be well aware that you were not in the café and ordering almost half an hour before that time. I disagree that you were not told that wait time for food at that precise moment was 30 minutes as the staff have assured me and indeed commented on this incident in our report book, that everyone who wished to order was informed about the wait time so they could make a choice about if they were happy to wait or not. Also there was a board displayed on the counter, next to the till which said "wait time for food is currently 30 minutes, we apologise for the delay". This is common practice in the café when we are busy. As you have stated for food was ready at 10.25am making your wait time 25 minutes, inside the 30 minute timescale you were made aware off.We were very busy for breakfast on this morning, you may well have seen more people in the café as you say but you have no idea what people have ordered, be it just coffees, cake, cold drinks or cooked breakfasts etc. At the time of your visit there were in fact 27 cooked breakfasts on order before you, unfortunately it is not possible or fair to bump you up the queue in front of others because you are not happy to wait. All our food is cooked fresh to order as stated on our menus and as this is the case, during busy times there may be longer than normal wait. If you wish to get your breakfast from somewhere where everything is cooked in advance and left to bake in a hotplate or oven then I would suggest you try somewhere less popular or a fast food establishment.I await the visit from Trading Standards (as that was what you were shouting at my staff) with interest.

We live in Weston, but it was our first visit to Scottys. We had a very warm welcome, which we really appreciated because we had just walked out of a cafe over the road due to miserable looking staff & no acknowledgement that we had even sat down. The food was delicious & obviously home cooked & we didnât notice the tasty looking cakes until we were leaving. The lady serving us was very attentive & friendly. We will definitely be returning & will recommend Scottys to our friends.Thank you from the team at scottys kitchen

This quirky tearoom is worth a visit, with excellent homemade cakes and treats. Quite a small selection of food, but very good quality. We were lucky to visit on a warm day, so we could sit outside with a view over the beach and pier. Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Traditional family run english seaside cafe - same ownership since 1963 - great homecooked food, fantastic value & brilliant service.
Called in for morning drinks - hot chocolate just OK, cake was obviously shop bought but the apple pie was good, friendly waitress. So overall just OK.

I popped in here looking for somewhere to take my sister for lunch. We both had the ham salad sandwiches on brown bread. The bread was thickly cut, like good old fashioned doorsteps! We then both treated ourselves to a slice of their unique cheesecake. I hate to think how many calories were in it but it was lovely! Staff were very friendly.
