We had lunch here a couple of times. Food is good for a beach bar and the setting is very nice and shady. Offers a bit of chill time away from the beach while only being about 50m from the beach.

Great bar located on Avithos Beach. 2xsunbeds and thatched parasol â¬10per day. WiFi available from nearby bar. Bar staff are very friendly; good English; great knowledge of cocktails. Nice touches like putting the straw in your glass with tweezers. Definitely one to try.

We visited this cafe a few times whilst in Kefalonia this summer. I'll start with the positives: beautiful location with lovely views. Good cafe menu, we thought with reasonable prices. They are open pretty much all day from morning until night, breakfast, lunch & dinner or just snacks and a cake if you want. Yes service can get slow when busy as things are pretty much prepared fresh on order. We did enjoy our food here and to be honest would have frequented more often, but on our 2nd visit the lady who served us had a rude and abrupt manner. Such a shame as all the other ladies who had served us previously were all lovely. Not only was this one lady unfriendly and offhand but ill - coughing non stop. Not exactly very appealing when they are serving your food to you! We left it a week and thought we'd risk trying it again & unfortunately yes we had her once more, still unfriendly & still coughing. Such a shame!

Small family run snack cafe based in the picturesque village of Troiannata on the way to the monastry of St Gerassimos. Allows customers to step back in time in this little haven of greek history. A new venture is the sale of exclusive hand made jewelery,
Today we had lunch at an amazing taverna in Kefalonia. Effe and her husbandâs family have ran the small local restaurant for generations. The wine, olive oil and vegetables were all home produced. Such a gem and the wine out of a local jug! A real taste of Greece. Thanks to Old Time Restaurant in Troiannata Village.
Situated on the main road at the top of Lourdas/Vlachata the cafe is easy to miss. If you do find it, you wonât be disappointed. Superb views out over the sea from the back terrace are accompanied by friendly service and reasonably priced drinks, the latter being served with complimentary snacks. Fab.

We were recommended to try Kastro by two other couples we met on holiday. The specials menu had a list of mouthwatering cheesecakes and we opted for the Black Forest cheesecake on the recommendation of others. It was delicious! The setting is beautiful and staff very friendly. We'd happily return for a meal.

Being the first establishment at the bottom of the road down from Lourdata town and Vlachata, the Seven Café Bar is upstairs above the Lourdas Mare bar. Being high above the beach itself affords the Seven Café excellent views across the bay and more importantly on a hot summer day, a lovely sea breeze. Sitting on the terrace and having a frappe is one of lifeâs little pleasures â especially when on some days the Café provides a bottle of water and a slice of cake when you buy a coffee! The frappe made with ice cream is particularly nice, with the sweetness of the ice cream and the bitterness of the coffee foam complimenting each other perfectly and providing welcome relief from the heat. The staff are very pleasant, going about their business with a smile and there is a small book exchange area inside where you can drop off the book youâve just read and pick up another one to flick through on the terrace. Being near the bus stop to get you back up the hill is just another plus point for this lovely little café.

A great litle stop of on the way from the beach, visited many times on our way home after a long day. Excellent views sitting in the shade pon the terrace, large selection of beers from various micro brewers from the islands. Thornton the owner such a nice guy, full of knowledge.
