Driving a colleague to a business meeting, meeting cancelled. Lunch seemed a good idea.Called in at Pier 22 on a recommendation, I went for Ham Egg and Chips, I know, it's basic. But get the basics right, everything is right. Excellent home name chips, 2 good fresh eggs and some nice ham, even a little salad garnish. Good value, good food very well received. My colleague had a very healthy Prawn Salad, loads of prawns, and the dressing came separate. Plenty of salad and a couple of slices of bread and butter on the side. He loved it. To quote "I f my wife made salad like this I would have 1 everyday!"Enough said. The cafe itself sits right on the bank of the river with views up and down stream, a very nice location. The staff were attentive and friendly and only to pleased to serve your meal with a bit of banter. We will return.

We have visited this tea room a couple of times previously so didn't hesitate to go back. However, not sure if it has changed hands or not but the standards have changed. Quite frankly it looked grubby and the tables and floor need a good scrub and polish. There are pieces of wipe clean table runners on each table that have seen better days and were stained and discoloured. I had a jacket potato with tuna which came with salad and coleslaw garnish. It was served on a tea plate not much bigger than a saucer so as soon as you cut into the food it was falling off the plate and either into the table or floor. Why try and serve food on such a tiny plate? Fine if you're just having a small sandwich but not much else. The tea was nice and hot and the food itself was good but they need to have a good deep clean before we'd venture back again.

The cafe is outside the prison fence where Cat D prisoners serve breakfast and lunch at very competitive prices and the food is good and home cooked. You can eat inside the cafe or at the tables outside. There is good free car parking, with a valeting ser
Called in for coffee and cheese scone today. Not the easiest place to find ! Seating and tables inside or on patio to front. Adjoining small garden centre unit and a hand car wash. Staffed by prisoners due for release who are courteous and friendly. Also very efficient. Prices very cheap and food quality very good. They serve costa coffee- coffee , tea and 2 cheese scones only £4.10! High number of staff to customer ratio. It was good to see place well patronised. Very worthy of support. Good luck to u lads now and upon release.

This is the downstairs bar restaurant as opposed to Tomahawk , the steak restaurant upstairs. The Lotus Lounge is once again called âHideâ so a reincarnation of a previously good eatery. On this occasion the place did not really live up to its previous reputation. A popular bar which gets very noisy later on as the average age drops! The food is unsensational akin to Wetherspoons but not better. Not a place to celebrate a special personal event but probably okay for large work groups of younger adults

This has become a favourite family eatery in Middlesbrough. There is always a nice welcoming atmosphere and the service is very friendly and efficient. The quality of food is always excellent and itâs well worth trying the Polish specialities. Even more importantly, you must save room for the delicious homemade cakes.

Steven James Sticky Fingers Cafe/Bar is a music bar and eatery sitting beside Steven James Guitar and Amp Centre, on Linthorpe Rd Middlesbrough. We have created an enviroment where you can come and relax during the day with a glass of wine, craft beer or
I use this bar on a regular basis, once or twice a week, for a drink and a game of chess. It's friendly, the drinks are decent quality and reasonably priced, and the music is pretty good. However, this clearly depends on the person in charge of the bar. Today the barman on the mid-afternoon shift was clearly having a bad day. Depressing music and a depressing attitude which virtually chased us out of the place. However bad day your day there is no need to take out on the customers who help to pay your wages.Disappointing.Hi Alice, So so sorry to hear this, and would like to know what member of staff this was, as this is my business and i have a playlist of upbeat eclectc tunes that i insist are played for our customers, sorry you had a bad experience.. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!Steven James.

Independently run Italian Deli. Well known locally for great coffee and delicious food. Licensed to 8.00pm Thursday & Friday.
Borrelli is a delightful little cafe that serves fresh quality products. Great place for a light lunch or coffee and cake. Friendly and efficient owners/ staff. Whilst they do have some lovely Italian products , they also have Yorkshire ham ! Very small premises but tables added outside in decent weather.

Plenty of butter was provided for the teacakes. Great service and good value. Iâll definitely be back. Thank you for taking your time to make a review We are pleased you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again in the near future Kind regards Julie and all the staff at the Tearoom
