Popped in on a Saturday morning half way round a 60 mile ride with a couple of friends. Friendly welcoming staff, good selection of tasty cakes a good size cups of coffee, they even filled our water bottles for us. They take card payment which is essential when you are not carrying cash on a bike ride. We will be certainly planning our routes in the future to take in this little gem again
Lovely building, run by energetic happy staff always willing to help. Two great chefs creating delicious lunches, great selection of wines and the coffee was first class. Fab area for little ones, all round great place for meeting friends to enjoy coffee, breakfast brunch lunch and CAKE!!!!

This cafe used to be called Phillers. It has been taken over by new owners and has been open for just over 1 year.
We have been here on several occasions. Whilst busy a lot of the time, we have always managed to get a table in the cafe, tucked down a small side street (30 metres long being small) when cafes on the main streets are full. It has a 5 star hygiene rating, and the cafe style food is always superb. Soups, sandwiches, toasties, panini, jacket potatoes with various toppings and huge cake portions, all freshly made (no I donât work here or have any contact other than being a customer). They also have a specials board. Very generous fillings in sandwiches. outside seating with blankets for the hardy and smokers. Highly recommend. One more thing..... CASH ONLY! They donât take credit or debit cards.

Three of the adults from our family went for a Saturday treat. Good menu with plenty of breakfast choice. The staff were slow to take our order and struggled with the card machine, but were otherwise attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious coming with a hot drink and toast/butter. It was over £10 for each meal, but great value for what we got. I loved the black pudding. Well done.

Absolutely love this place. Russell is so passionate about every plate he serves and particularly about it being locally sourced and fresh. Just finished the best Essex Asparagus, Local eggs and Salmon with Hollandaise sauce. Russell has made a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that this is becoming a favourite cycling stop

Lovingly made family recipes served in our South Street restaurant in Bishopâs Stortford.Open throughout the day, we serve a hearty breakfast menu, a range of lunch dishes and our well-loved Afternoon Tea.The counter is always full of home-made cakes and
We only had coffee and cake here. The cake was nice. China cups and saucers, which could have done with a bit of cleaning. But the noise!!! Some of which was generated from liquidisers and coffee machines, most from people talking, it was a busy Saturday afternoon; but the worst was the continual scraping of chairs on the stone floors. May I suggest some pads for the bottom of the chair legs? Easily available from John Lewis, Homebase etc. Will opt for someone quieter next time.Dear Kim_sunseeker,Thank you for your review for South Street Pantry. We're really pleased you enjoyed your coffee and cake. Sorry you didn't think our crockery was up to our usual high standards, I can assure you, we are very particular about this. Saturday is our busiest day which is naturally going to be very noisy. Thank you for your feedback, we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We are an independant coffee shop and eatery located at Thremhall park. Surrounded by 12 acres of parkland with free parking the coffee shop has a very relaxed atmosphere. Hatfield Forest can be accessed from here so why not come in for coffee and cake or
The location is wonderful and this Sunday we counted 23 bikes parked up. Due to such a massive influx of riders the service was slow as the staff numbers were somewhat limited. However, this doesn't excuse the same disappointment that we had a few visits ago that when the coffee was served up it was not hot enough. This really isn't good enough and it was only because they were so busy we didn't complain. Chatting to other cyclists who are regular visitors, they also thought the coffee was often a hit or miss affair.Hi Paul, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we welcome all the feedback we receive as it helps us to see what we are doing well, and what we could be doing better. We're sorry to hear that on this occasion the service we gave you wasn't to our usual high standards, we would welcome the opportunity to make it up to you on your next visit. Kind regards,The Coffee Shop team
