The Waffle Spot has been a local favorite in Mission Valley for over twenty years. Our family-friendly diner is located inside the Kings Inn and features breakfast & brunch specials with delicious waffles 7-days a week. Come by for lunch and try a tasty,
Conveniently located but the coffee is awful, the atmosphere is noisy, the food was ok, better then Crust Kitchen which isn't really saying much. Love the hotel here though.

We stumbled upon RWPH on a whim looking for a place to eat that still served breakfast at 1pm.On our first visit, I ordered the corn beef hash and eggs, and my hubby ordered the pancakes! We kept picking at each other's plate! Everything was fluffy and light and delicious! The corn beef hash, had this creamy textured that popped with flavors in your mouth, the eggs were fluffy and the pancakes were pure yumminess! So now when we visit San Diego, we make RWPH our first go to eat place. This last week, I ordered the veggie omelet, and whoa, that baby was explosive and of course, hubby got the corn beef hash...you just can't go wrong here. Sensational and plentiful. Thank You!Hi there,We've reached out to you in a private message to personally thank you for this review. We hope we have the chance to serve you again in the future!

Big restaurant very busy, vibrant with local people. High ceilings with different types of seatings. There was outside seatings too. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Menu offered varieties. We had pan cakes and traditional breakfast. Portions were big but too much fried potatoes and a bit too greasy for us. Maybe some people like them that way. All dishes were attractively plated and tasty. Only one comment about the crab meat egg Benedict, the crab meat cake was bit too greasy and hard to distinguish the crab meat taste. Services from staff were excellent.

Stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Actually met Jessica, a waitress there, walking up the street. She suggested that we have breakfast where she was walking to, The Mission. Busy spot in North Park, with about a 45 minute wait. People of all walks of life enjoying good food, conversation, and great coffee on a Sunday morning. The place has kitchy artwork posted around the restaurant, and seats about 64 people.Food selection was good, with different breakfast options from strawberry-banana pancakes, chilaquiles, a breakfast quesadilla. Not much in the choice of breakfast meats, however my breakfast quesadilla did have bacon in it. Their cinnamon bread french-toast was pretty awesome too! They make some specialty coffee drinks, as well, and is a great alternative to Denny's. Real food. Really good. Really good service. They also have some vegetarian options, and lunch sandwiches that looked very delicious. If you're in SD, give this spot a visit.

Vegan shouldn't equal expensive. This restaurant in downtown San Diego serves up average vegan recipes but at a high price. All of their menu items are named after positive affirmations such as Trusting, Exquisite, Genuine, etc. You are encouraged to order by saying "I am" followed by the name of the dish. We felt like we were in elementary school. Service was great, but would have been better if we were talked to like adults rather than children. Prices are very high. Definitely won't be going back. There are other vegan options at reasonable prices.

On a short trip to San Diego, we discovered The Mission on our first morning and then had breakfast there every day. The food is excellent - this certainly isn't your standard US diner - and the portions are generous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Gets busy from about 9.00am onwards so best to arrive early or be prepared for as little bit of a wait for a table.

Food was good. Average, nothing amazing. Service was ok, food took a long time to come out. If you're hungry...you'll be hungry for awhile after you sit down. Staff was friendly. Can walk here from La Jolla Shores which makes it easy for a beach day.

We had to wait for a table because this place is popular! It was well worth the wait. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff was attentive and quick. The only negative is that we wanted to sit on the patio instead we were seated upstairs next to the bathroom. Not exactly the view I would have liked to have had. At least there were plenty of windows to look out of.
