Reviews on Cafe food in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, United States. Enveloped by expansive beaches, moss-draped oaks, and salt marshes, Saint Simons Island, part of the Golden Isles chain near Brunswick, is a nearly 18 square mile island, once dominated by rice and cotton plantations. Today, it’s a recreation wonderland with superb championship golf courses, miles of bicycle paths, great fishing, historic sites, and excellent restaurants. If you love golf, you’ll love Saint Simons Island, which is home to the 18-hole King and Prince Golf Course and 27-hole Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort. Nearby are 234 more holes of golf at popular spots like the 63-hole Jekyll Island Golf Club and 36-hole Sea Island Golf Club. Anglers have lots of opportunities to fish in the rivers, tidal creeks, sounds and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll find charters and guides at the Golden Isles Marina, and you can also fish off the St. Simons Island Pier and surf cast on stretches of beach on the island’s north end. For such a compact island, Saint Simons is brimming with historic sites. Don’t miss the Saint Simons Lighthouse, where you can climb the 129 steps for a magnificent view of the island; the Fort Frederica National Monument, which has remnants of the British fort built in the 1700s; and the Bloody Marsh Battle Site, where the Spanish defeated the British in 1742.

Visit us once, and you will never want to go anywhere for breakfast or lunch again. Not only is the food great, But the experience is memorable.
My husband and I had 2 memorable breakfasts in this wonderful café. The food quality, presentation, and service were all above average both times and we were only sorry that days' activities prevented our returning for lunch. We had the Eggs Benedict with REAL corned beef hash and Eggs Benedict Florentine the first day and the second Eggs Benedict w/o the hash and regular scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit combo. The fresh fruit cup and potatoes were delicious as was the food.Eating here was a highlight of a wonderful St. Simon's getaway.

We had just taken a tour bus and SeaCastle Cafe was suggested for lunch. It was a small local restaurant and we were seated right away. Love to go to restaurants that locals visit. Our server was Austin who was very pleasant. We ordered a salad a salad and some hush puppies which were both good. Austin told us we should have shrimp before we leave as it is the best around. We took his advise and ordered some the next night at crabdaddyâs and were not disappointed. We asked Austin to take our picture he suggested we take it outside under the restaurant sign. I would suggest this restaurant it was very busy the entire time we were there.

Our first time here. Cafe is hidden in the back alcove of a shopping plaza. We arrived at 9:30 am and the place was packed. But, our wait was less than 10 minutes. Service is excellent and the food also. Christine, our waitress, was professional, polite and very friendly. Eggs Benedict with shrimp and crab is fantastic!

My wife and I visit St Simons for the month of Oct. we usually have breakfast here but this is the first time for lunch. Arrived about 1 and restaurant about 3/4 full. Seated immediately and drink orders filled within minutes. My wife had the 1/2 BLT and a cup of the Taco Soup. She thought the soup was very good but the bacon on the BLT almost tasteless. So just OK I had the shrimp and pimento cheese grits with a salsa type topping that included bacon and pickled okra. There was a few nicely dressed arugula leaves included. Never had pimento cheese grits but liked these. The shrimp were excellent as was the salsa toppings.Pleasantly surprised and left happy.
