South African/British family run coffee shop, freshly prepared, locally sourced food, all made to order.
I had a couple of hours to kill in Royal Tunbridge Wells and wandered along to The Pantiles area. The welcome was genuine. The coffee (Americano) was tasty but not bitter. The sausages in the toasted sandwich were excellent. The carrot cake was delicious, with the lightest, fluffiest topping I think Iâve had on a carrot cake. I donât know when Iâll next be back in T. Wells, but this is the only coffee shop Iâll come to. Thank you very much for your wonderful and kind review. It is fantastic for us to hear that customers are happy, it makes it all worthwhile. We do hope to see you on your next visit to Tunbridge Wells.Kind RegardsThe Pantiles Cafe

Cafe and bar in the village of Brenchley, Kent. Serving brunch, lunch, cakes and evening pop up events. Open Friday evenings for drinks. Locally sourced ingredients and freshly made food.
I'd been meaning to pop in since its new ownership and yesterday the opportunity arose, as I was working in the area. It's a lovely little place, a fine fireplace, smart well-stocked 'bar', clean and just nicely decorated; with barely 20 'covers' it wouldn't take much to fill. A coronation chicken sandwich and a great cup of coffee hit the spot for lunch. In fact I liked it so much I went back today and had a particularly delicious croque monsieur washed down with a really good glass of red wine (well it was Friday)! Staff were friendly, the service prompt and the prices reasonable. I'll be back for sure.

A family run cafe with 20 covers serving English Breakfasts, hot and cold sandwiches, baguettes and rolls plus lots more. Freshly ground coffee, tea, hot chocolate and Mocchas as well as cold drinks. Always a friendly welcome.
Really happy to find this on trip advisor. Needed to use a laundrette while working away and thought I'd fill my tank while waiting, this place popped up with great reviews and only a few doors down. Great food, great price, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.Really nice to have places like this when away from home.

This is a favourite cafe stop for me and my friends for a number of reasons. Being cyclists itâs hard to find cafes that are accommodating but Debbie and the team are all so friendly and welcoming. Every time we go here we are served in an efficient but caring manner and I honestly donât think there is a better cafe in the Pantiles area. Whether itâs sandwiches, perfectly cooked eggs, or a lovely slice of cake you are after then the Javabean cafe will have you covered.

We are a family run, Italian delicatessen, located in Chapel Place, Tunbridge Wells. We offer great coffee, appreciated by the discerning coffee drinker as well as authentic food reflecting the true taste of Italy.
Making our way up from the Pantiles to the top of the town, we decided to grab a quick coffee here.Well, we didn't! My wife (once married to an Italian) saw the quality of the lasagne and insisted that we had lunch straight away!Delicious. Really good.We washed the food down with two very acceptable glasses of house red ----that's two glasses each mind you!Service was spot on. Friendly and helpful. The manager/owner even translated an email from Venice for me to read. Will we return? Yes!

I have been to Earl Grey quite a few times and always enjoyed their food but I am perturbed by the fact that they allow dogs into a small café. Today a very large Labrador was getting in the way and allowed to wander around. There was also one lady with a small dog she kept lifting up and allowed to put itâs paws on the table and it also sniffed the condiments and sugar bowl. The table was not washed properly after she left, just had the crumbs brushed off. A customer came in and sat at the table, I would have said something but the customer moved away from the table.I then decided to leave before coffee and despite the lovely food I am not sure whether I will be back. I donât have anything against dogs, but I do when owners donât control them and in my opinion hygiene is not followed.Dear Customer,This review concerns me greatly as we pride ourselves on excellent hygiene. All dogs must be kept on leads and under control within the tea room so I am unhappy to hear that on this occasion you do not feel this was the case.I will be reviewing the situation and will ensure that all dogs are kept by their owners feet and on close leads to ensure this doesn't happen in future.

Black dog never fails to serve great coffee, from espresso to silky flat whites their coffee remains consistently high in quality. The house coffee is a Monmouth espresso, and in my opinion...they serve it better then the Monmouth flagship shops in London! The black dog is an Australian inspired cafe who do not fail to perfectly reflect the popular and chilled coffee culture within Australia. Besides from the more traditional choices, they serve a range of delicious vegan options for both food and milk alternatives which is very much appreciated!I have always recommended the black dog to friends, and each person thoroughly enjoyed their visit. By far the best in town.

We popped in mid shopping for a bit of a re fuel and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee and the lovely Citrus cake on offer and very authentic Italian Tapas Board .All reasonably priced. We shall return as refreshing to experience a nice independent cafe rather than a chain.Turn left out the back of Next and you are there in a few paces worth the small detour away from the food court in the shopping centre

A full English for me and a panini for the hubby (it was brunch time!). My substantial brekkie all came piping hot with toast and was delicious. Hubby said his panini was lovely. Would definitely recommend and go again if in Tunbridge Wells.
