Interesting place in Rochester. Rochester is absolutely lacking in good restaurants in general. This place does have good food (except for the poor salads) and the staff are really friendly and very efficient indeed. If you like cakes, this is your place! But you need to climb the stairs. If you can, do!

All day eatery providing vibrant social space in an old fire station
I donât live locally anymore but met with friends! Setting fabulous! Food and drink fabulous! Service - just too much! Started well but it becomes very irritating to be asked constantly if everythingâs ok! Once or twice is good service! Wasnât entirely the girls fault the manager was very conscientious but just too much! Also itâs better too wait until everyone has finished before clearing the table! Felt very rushed towards the end! Sometimes less is more xThank you for your feedback with regards to your recent visit. We are honoured you and your friends chose The Fire Station Brasserie to meet up. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the food and décor. We pride ourselves on providing both excellent food and service and are disappointed the service fell short of your expectations. Our aim is to ensure our guests are well look after, but accept your constructive feedback and will pass this onto our team. We do hope you consider visiting us when you are back in the area. Kind Regards Becki

Cafeteria Restaurant and Maltese Bakery specializing in Maltese street food freshly cooked breakfast and much more we are a coffee shop fully licensed
We loved it! Tasty, tasty food, low prices, enormous portions, and nice staff. Whatâs not to like? Only surprised that on a Friday night it was only 60% full - Iâm surprised it wasnât packed! I had the Maltese fish soup and pasta with rabbit for a main. Both were delicious. My wife loved her meal too. We just didnât have room for a dessert!

Find Cafe Nucleus in one of Rochester's grandest buildings, the licensed cafe bar boasts comfortable seating throughout, a boardroom and a tropical themed garden. At Café Nucleus we are an oasis on the High Street, youâll be welcomed with a warm smile, a
We visited Friday evening to try their 'small plates menu' and it didn't disappoint. treating ourselves to 6 oysters, we was surprised they had 3 varieties on offer and of course we tried all of them! The monk fish curry was to die for, perfectly flavoured and cooked - this is simply our new favourite restaurant in Rochester. Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, top all round!

The staff are always up for a chat and they make great food bobby, who works thereis a good laugh but the manager needs a humanity transplant and allways looks like she has just step out off a assilium. needs to lossen up.I thank you for your positive comments about the food and the service , I do however feel that your comment towards our manager was unkind and not necessary ,especially as you don't know her personally and if you did you would know that the words you write are totally untrue, we all find ourselves in stressful situations when we are busy and trying to run a business, how someone looks is not relevant ,as to how they function in our kitchen is , and we are extremely happy with our manager.Wishing you all the best and look forward to welcoming you to Peggotty's Parlour in the near future.

Situated in historic Rochester High Street, Kent. The 1940's ambience of the tea room and its location creates the perfect atmosphere for a Breakfast, Lunch including a homemade "vintage dish of the day" and Afternoon Tea. There really is something for ev

Went here last weekend having wanted to go here for well over a year. When ordering i was met with a bit of shortness, didnt take it too personally as she was like that with staff and the next person she took an order from. I paid and then was just left there before very patronisingly being told to sit down - how was i supposed to know i shouldn't wait for my tap water, my coffe or my receipt. I did as i was told lol and sat out in the garden and waited and waited then after around twenty minutes a lady came out with two tap waters, i said yes. "No, this lady just came in and asked for these" "did you want tap water?" Any way foods great when we eventually got it, thought good value for money. Cheese was out of this world.Sadly the staff ruined it for me, i could tell the atmosphere is great and chilled and laid back normally. But they were stressed and busy and becoming short with their customers suchna shame.

Had the Dickens breakfast which was amazing! Loads of food beautifully cooked and all of a fantastic quality. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. Not fine dining - just good solid wholesome food served by incredibly friendly staff. Incredible value for money. Other places would charge double or treble. Very happy and will be returning

This was our first visit to Mrs Tickitâs Pantry and definitely wonât be our last. We had a lovely visit made even better that we could sit inside with our dog, the ladies who work there are very friendly and chatty and really make you and your pet feel welcome. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. If you like old-fashioned tea shops that are warm and cosy and you like to drink your tea out of bone China teacups, and like homemade cakes and scones you will love Mrs Tickitâs.Looking at the other tables food it looked nice and fresh and appetizing. The whole place was spotlessly clean, including the toilets which had an old cooking range in (see photo). Weâll be back to try out the lunch.
