Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Reno. Nevada's "other" gambling and resort town, Reno is located in the western part of the state near the California border. What the city lacks in glitz or reputation it more than makes up for in attractions and amenities. There are first-rate hotels, golf courses and casinos to rival its southern counterpart and, also like Las Vegas, Reno has become a popular destination for families. Galena Creek Park offers nature trails that even young children can navigate, plus organized educational events for families.

I recently went to the Cafe Alfresco for lunch with some friends and we had outstanding service. Debra Marshall was our server and she provided excellent customer service, offering suggestions on meal items and was always attentive to our needs as well as other customers sitting in her section. We will definitely be back to Cafe Alfresco soon.

Start with a homemade cookie and try the salad of the day. I chose a molasses and chocolate chip cookie for my starter. Tried to eat just a bite but could not resist those soft chocolate chips and the goodness of the butter. This great little place uses lavender in their salad dressing which is oh so slight but wonderful. The greens are always fresh and the sandwiches look great as well. You gotta try it. A don't miss stop in Reno.

Lynn and I and another couple recently had dinner at Cafe Milano. It was our dining choice among all of the other restaurant offerings at the Peppermill Resort. Our server, Juan was knowledgeable, quick and thorough. Lyn had the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, veggies and a biscuit she said it was big and delicious ($18.95). I had the fried chicken..4 huge pieces, enormous.. certainly enough to share. ($18.95). We liked this restaurant for its menu variety and affordability. Cafe Milano did not disappoint.

I have lived in Reno for over 20 years and never been here. Well shame on me. Went for lunch today and had the Patty Melt. One of the best I have had in Reno. The other person at lunch had the Mushroom Burger and it looked wonderful and he said that it was. He too had just "found" this place and it was for a breakfast. He said that it was one of the best breakfasts he has had in Reno.We will both be back.

After reading many solid reviews on the trip advisor site for Pegs we thought we would give it a try. We assumed the downtown Reno location would be busy and problematic so we chose to visit this location on Meadows Pkwy. Parking was easy here since it is located in a large shopping center. The wait was not horrible for a weekend prime time breakfast stop. The inside waiting area is a bit small and the booths are a bit worn. Also they were doing some interior remodeling or upgrades with black plastic hanging everywhere (thus the 4 star and not 5 star review). Beyond these minor issues the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. The portions here are large so the menu pricing is fair. I would definitely recommend this chain at any of their locations.

I want to thank the previous reviewers of this place. We were in town for a quick overnight stop en route to somewhere else but wanted a good breakfast. This place was pretty close to our hotel and hit the spot. Their take on eggs benedict was really good - would gladly stop here again

As soon as you walk in, your senses are on high alert. You hear a noisy friendly place. You smell, hunger inducing, breakfast foods being cooked. You see a bright clean setting, then you notice mountainous plates of food go by. Could they get anymore food on those plates? Probably not. The booth we had felt comfortable and the silverware had a nice heavy feel to it. Very quickly our friendly server brought our piping hot food served on large heavy plates. Then to taste. I had the Ham & eggs and my spouse had the Country Fried Steak & eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The huge pieces of meat were very good. The meals were served with a plate long side of buttery hash browns. Plus, Unlimited, like you could ever eat more, soft and thick toast. Adorned with a full size slice of melon, the presentation made us chuckle at the task ahead of us. That was, trying to eat all of this food. Our meals were $10.99 each, but we sure didnât need lunch later. I had the fresh squeezed orange juice, my partner a cup of coffee. Both got high marks on temperature and taste.

There is nothing elegant about homestyle breakfast, but that's exactly how it is supposed to be! The food is great - fresh omelettes, benedicts, and pastries. This place is small inside, so larger groups may find it difficult to eat here, but the service was friendly the entire time we were there!
