Called for fish and chips in the cafe after visiting the Thornton-le-Dale show. The fish chips mushy peas brown bread and pot of tea was very welcome. The girl waitress was nice as was the food. Love the spotless clean white crockery they use. The price was £8.95 each so good value for a sit down on comfortable seating. The cafe was clean and tidy with no dirty pots on tables, free wi fi and good toilet facilities. Recommend.

An unforgettable selection of gins, whiskys and all other types of delectable drinks you could possibly desire. Swing by and enjoy a tipple with us at one of the friendliest bars in North Yorkshire. Whether you're hankering for an indulgent slice of cake
We don't often enjoy lunch as much as this. We had 3 plates for £15, a beer and a G&T. Nothing unusual perhaps but we sat in the sun and had some great banter (south v north) with a blonde lady (the owner?) which all made it a good occasion. They even ran out of pitta bread but no problem they went aross the road and got some more.Well done guys!So pleased you enjoyed your lunch with us. Hopefully we made your day out on the train one to remember. We always love a customer with a great bit of banter, so come back soon for south v north, part 2 :)

Family run, traditional English Tea Rooms offering light bites. Sandwiches, Cream Tea, Afternoon Tea, hot & cold drinks. We also have a bakery shop selling items made in our Whitby bakery.
Last weekend we went to Pickering for 1940s annual event. Bothams have been doing some improvements over the winter and now have more seating upstairs and more toilets. The food hasn't changed much as it's always been brilliant and tasty and still is.We recommend any of the the pies and the best vanilla slice anywhere in the UK in our view. Thick custard and tasty icing with lovely puff pastry.Bothams have lots of tea choices which enhances the experience. Last time there I heard people saying it's too expensive. However as many said this weekend the quality is worth the money.

I have dale head farm shepherds hut as well but cant bring it up on the system but keep getting enquiries about it? How do I locate it please
We have been calling at Maggie's excellent tea garden for many years after Rosedale Show, usually via a splendid walk up there, though some of your party do drive up. Even with Maggie away on a run this weekend, the food we had was great again, plenty of it and capped our great weekend.

Our aim is to recreate the traditional atmosphere of the tea room and tea parlours of the early twentieth century. China and silverware have been obtained from variety of sources, and although some date from as early as the 1850's, the majority were produ
