Cozy and quaint cafe serving homecooked breakfast and lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating , and parking on site! Located within the beautiful Boothbay harbor downtown!
We visited this quirky spot in September, 2015 and had mixed feelings especially in the service area. Today was much improved in that aspect. We arrived at 07:10 for breakfast and were already the fifth table to be seated. When we left twenty-five minutes later the small facility was packed. Arrive early and bring cash in you want a smooth experience. No credit cards accepted.Coffee and tea are at a self service beverage bar and seemed very popular. We opted for water which was served table side. The wife went with the Spanish Omelette and I had the Mama âDââs Special Omelette. Both were good. The side hash browns could have been hotter.Table placement is tight. There was a large table of six older women sitting next to us with purses hanging over the backs of their chairs that encumbered both customer and server traffic.Service is on the slow side. I felt that maybe there is only one person the kitchen. The large table I mentioned had meals being delivered two at a time with an interlude of about five minutes. Total bill with tip came in at $23.00.Give this spot a try. Parking is easier than at most restaurants in this small popular tourist destination.Thank you for giving us another shot, and your review hit all based... Yes we are a cramp little spot, but, that does add to its charm ( quoting a customer's review) We appreciate all the time you took to review and we were very happy to hear from you. Maybe we'll see you again in 4 years. Thanks again, Mama D and Staff.

A breakfast and lunch eatery offering delicious homemade food in a bright and cheery dining room with views of harbor.
Based on both Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews, we drove 20 minutes to BoothBay Harbor and this quaint little cafe for the âBest Blueberry pancakes in Maine.â We were seated promptly and the server (Stephanie) could not have been more delightful. All five of us ordered the pancakes and they were wonderful. I would actually drive to BoothBay again just for this breakfast but since BoothBay has so many incredible shops and restaurants, Bridge Street just adds to my list of reasons to return. We loved this excursion and, as foodies, we unanimously recommend this cafe - especially for the Maine blueberry pancakes. Delightful!

All too often, restaurants at 'institutions' (museums, botanical gardens) are afterthoughts; operated with a captive audience in mind. Not the Kitchen Garden Cafe. Somebody thought this through, and the result is an establishment where you want to linger. Service as friendly and unhurried; the food was delectable. Oh, and the view overlooking the gardens is spectacular.

A bright, friendly, breakfast/lunch restaurant featuring American cuisine and authentic burritos. We also offer homemade baked goods that are outstanding! We serve organic Rockin' & Roastin' coffee and offer several Gluten-free options
A lovely Maine cafe and a good spot for a casual breakfast. A bit crowded, and tables are close together, which made maneuvering difficult for a mobility-impaired guest - but staff was helpful and the breakfast and baked goods were tasty. Clearly loved by locals and tourists alike. Thanks for the review - we appreciate it!

A cafe, deli and bakery that serves all-natural, from-scratch food, including homemade soups, deli salads, made-to-order sandwiches, hand-formed loaf breads, muffins and scones, cookies and cupcakes, cakes and pies and more!
This place is a little chaotic, with 360 degree choices, so suggest just studying the flow a bit before ordering. I noticed they had some interesting soups and snack foods after I had paid for my meal. Had the smoked chicken sandwich on tomato basil bread, but the bread was bland and became instantly soggy with mayo (I ate it right there). It was a sloppy mess. My wife did not finish her sandwich, which was also messy and not flavorful.Lot of cookies, brownies, etc. My wife didn't finish her brownie (plain chocolate). I got a German chocolate version that was good. Long wait even though it was not crowded. There is a small indoor eating area and some outdoor.

I take an older friend to lunch frequently, and since we discovered this cafe, nothing compares. The salads are unique combos, sandwiches delectable. I love their quiche. The counter service is pleasant, generous answers to questions. Serve yourself water and coffee, spacious, sunny seating area, though not many tables. Takeout is available and portions are often enough for a take-home container. Not in downtown, but three minutes out and no parking issues...ever. I have not dared try the beautiful in-house baked goods because I would love them!
This was my first time here and I'll definitely return. The location is very handy and there is ample free parking within 1-3 blocks. They have a wide selection of unique sandwiches (familiar ingredients mixed with some extra choices of condiments (sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, etc.)I had the grilled cheese sandwich and it was very good. Three types of cheese on a panini-type bread. You can add bacon and/or tomato for a small charge. The sandwich is large. They have an excellent selection of potato chips but their drink choices are limited. I actually didn't see a sign for the drinks or other items but I could have just missed it.Prices are very reasonable. My sandwich and chips were $8.26 which is good for this area. I actually brought home about half of my order. It is very clean and the ladies who work there are very nice and friendly.

I visit Bath for work 2-3x/year, and it is great that a new, top-notch deli and evening cafe has re-opened in this place and space. I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had, totally fresh, excellent bread! ... and nicely sized. Also had a really good cup of chipotle chile/soup.The menu has several sandwiches, nice freshly made bread choices, plus the biggest deepest-dish quiche I ever saw (very tempting). Also on the menu is a Noodle Bowl and a Rice Bowl! Very cool. Muffins, scones, cookies, & pastries all looked so fresh, had to hold myself back. This is top-quality food, and it is apparent that it is made by people who know what they're doing and obviously care about what they're serving.I used to love the previous deli & downstairs bistro which used to be here though had closed. This new place, apparently completely different and new ownership, is excellent. Wished I was staying in town to try the evening cafe underneath, which I remember you get to from the parking lot on the street behind Front St. (one level down, as that street is "lower" than Front St.). Next time, will stay in Bath overnight to check it out.

Been driving by for years, should have stopped in sooner. Cozy, easy, informal and very friendly atmosphere. Order at the counter and pour yourself some coffee. I enjoyed the Western Scramble Special. Real home fries from small local potatoes. Iâll be back.

Winnegance is a restaurant and bakery serving breakfast, starting at 6:00am-11:00am and lunch daily until 4:00. All of our meals and baked goods are made from scratch daily. We offer eat in and take-out for all of the items on our menu. We offer a wide va
I was met at the front door by two smiling waitresses and sat down to have a simple but excellent grilled cheese sandwich with their homemade coleslaw....I also had a taste of a friends blackened Haddock wrap, which was scrumptuous! They have a wide selection of beverages and wonderful baked goods that you can take to go, if your full...I tried the Lemon Cake and would go back just for that. The Coffee was fesh and hot, perfect after a rain. If you are looking for your meal done in 5-10 minutes then go to a fast food place, the foods great and worth the wait! STOP and EAT! LOVE THE RELAXING ATMOSPHERE!!!!!
