We have been here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent with good service from a very good staff. It does not matter if we have had the roast or something else of the menu or specials board we have always had an excellent meal. This is the only restaurant we will ever take any guest of ours for a Sunday Lunch as we know we are going to have a good meal.

How can you visit Barmouth and not visit Ebeneezers? How could go to North Wales and not go to Ebeneezers? From the outside it looks like an old chapel having a weird sale. Well, it is, actually! When you walk through the door, you are immediately transported to a totally different world. Different music, aromas atmosphere! I have this conundrum, is it a coffee house selling Oriental, Asian and African arts, crafts, clothing and more, or an emporium selling tea, snacks and coffee? Either way, it is a 'must see' to put on your list. Having said that, I would be the first to admit that these sort of places aren't every-ones taste, but t is worth the visit. I have visited Barmouth four times since 2013, and each time spent a lot of time in Ebeneezers. Sadly my wife passed away in 2016 but each time I've visited Barmouth since then, it's always meant a visit to Ebeneezers, if only for the memories. It is always so nice to go back there. The food is always fresh, clean and properly presented. The staff are always pleasant, helpful, kind and considerate. There is the tricky question of prices, as all of their merchandise is from out of this country, and the value of the pound fluctuating, it is impossible to compare prices with anywhere else. But, having visited similar shops, elsewhere, they are about on par. So whether you are just after a coffee, and a snack, or tea or fruit juice, and a meal, or something to wear, jewelry, or an unusual present for some one, or just incense, there is nowhere like Ebeneezers.

We called on spec whilst visiting Dolgellau. We ate outside on a lovely day. Well cooked tasty breakfast was enjoyed by us both. Good quality ingredients and friendly ladies, who were working hard to fulfill the orders.

1606 old gaol building serving no last suppers but tasty breakfasts and hearty home made lunches curated to your individual needs. Teas and coffees made to your specific instructions (no soya or skinny options available sorry, our milk is semi-skimmed). G
This is a gogeous setting, being an old building. My wife and I had breakfast here and it was OK.. The bacon was overcooked -and a bit tough - maybe a reheat? Everything else on the plate was great. I only tried breakfast. We never made it to Y Sospan for an evening meal. At night the cafe was full and looked like a great place to have a drink, based on their selection of gins.I did expect better, based on the reviews.

A fantastic Tea and Coffee House with the best cakes ever. Other reviews of Dolgellau B&B's mention it.
Visited on a few occasions when weâve been in Dolgellau and each time the food has been amazing. The first time I visited I had the chicken soup with homemade cheese scone. The soup was thick, comforting and delicious Cheese scone was fluffy and went well with itThis time I had the vegetable quiche. I asked if it was hot and it was. I like my quiches hot! It was a big slab of thick chunky roast veggies in a creamy pastry tart and a large salad and coleslaw Amazing. So full but managed to share a homemade hummingbird cake for aftersDog friendly which is great. Luna our Labrador was very accommodating by hoovering up the crumbs Didnât realise that there was a huge floor upstairs as well with comfy settees so you donât need to squeeze yourself downstairs Maybe that could be better explained on the signage going upstairs Friendly, helpful staff Well done

Tea and coffee served with homemade cakes, jams and curds. Served on tables with antique lace table cloths and with high quality fine china and silver tea pots.
I visited for lunch with my friend today at her recommendation and Iâm so glad I did.We both had the smoked salmon salad and it was delicious. Both cold and hot smoked salmon, coleslaw, garlic mushroom rice, salad leaves, tomatoes and more. The quality of the ingredients shone out and everything tasted very fresh. After this I had a scone with jam, it was honestly the best scone Iâve had in years. My friend had shortbread with marzipan in which looked amazing too as did all of the other cakes on display. The attention to detail in the table settings and the food was clear to see and the staff were lovely too.I will be returning! If you are in Dolgellau I would urge you to pop in and treat yourself. Thank you for your review. Iâm pleased you enjoyed our salmon salad. See you again soon.
