Always go here whenever i meet my friend for lunch lovely little cafe very unique vintage look very welcoming atmosphere met by friendly lovely staff members food is brill it quick and efficient very professionally ran, love it here i always opt for the breakfast or omelette they are cooked so well no grease it sight lovely tasting food cant fault it at all well presented always pop in now and again other choice comes to mind highly recommend if u are meeting for lunch with friends, highly recommend this place

By far my favourite coffee spot in Newport. Excellent coffee and knowledgable and friendly staff. Nice spot on the river too, especially when the sun's out. Great breakfast and lunch snacks - the oak smoked bacon sandwich is v good! Definitely make the trip to the other side of the river if you are a fan of decent coffee :)

We popped in for a quick brunch as we were passing today. My first visit here. What an excellent venue. Small and intimate but it did not feel over-crowded. Despite cooking food such as bacon, there was no smell of a 'greasy spoon' eatery.Service was with a very engaging smile and a warm welcome. Our brunch of toasted bagel, with cream cheese and smoky streaky bacon was a delight. Tasty, well cooked and not over-expensive. Even the coffee was enjoyable.Well done to the manager and staff for such a great little cafe.

My wife and I visited Nipa Hut in Newport for an evening meal with our friends.We were treated to a great welcome by the staff and chef who is the owner.The food is superb quality, a real taste of the phillipines at a really affordable price.It was great to try so many different types of phillipino food and I have to say that everything we tried was excellent.We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu !!Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly welcoming staff - clean and tidy tables - reasonable prices. Had bubble & squeak + two fried eggs & a sausage. Large mug of tea and the meal and tea came to £3.30. The cutlery was spotless. All in all Iâd recommend this place.

Such a lovely surprise to walk into The Green. What used to be your average type boozer is now a trendy chic cafe.. Seats outside on the green, plenty of seating inside. The decor is bright fresh & rustic. A well stocked hot & cold breakfast/lunch menu.. We popped in on the off chance during a busy Friday, sunny lunchtime. Luckily we managed to get a seat inside. It was very busy.. That was a bit of a clue as we had walked through Caerleon village to see other eateries not so! We went for hot panninis served with side salad & chunky chips. Coffees, iced cold water.. All in for under a tenner (for two).. The food was fresh,tasty, presented well... Worth the 30mins wait.. The cake selection looked yummy. Regret not having a second coffee!! The staff were very good also.. What more can I say... A joy to have sampled the delights of 'The Green Caerleon'.. If your in Caerleon head for The Green...

Asked for an almond late, no almond milk, but not a problem, we'll go and get some. Gluten free bread M & S (quality) absolutely delicious, great filling and a good size sandwich. Absolutely spot on, a fab little cafe, great staff, cozy and go out of their way to be accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Marenghi's is an excellent Italian café run by Mario Masini and his son Christopher. They provide a very friendly welcome to customers, and Mario cooks very nice food himself. I can particularly recommend the Aperitivo drink and the wonderful antipasta to be followed by excellent beef and pasta. The puddings are also really good and 'home-made'. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of Mario's cooking and service. Finally, the prices are very reasonable.
