This place is well worth a detour for brunch or lunch. There was a queue out the door while we were there. I had a very delicious eggs Benedict. Each element was perfect, perfectly poached eggs, with orange yolks, proper bacon, home made hollandaise, and crunchy sourdough toast. And a layer of avocado. Everything was perfectly balanced. Omelette was good too, made fresh with your choice of ingredients. The menu had lots of options, and changes are not a problem. Service was friendly, if a bit slow, although they were very busy. The lunch plates looked good too, generous portions and lots of choices. This place is well worth a detour off the nearby motorway, for anyone traversing the country. The baking looked tempting too, and there were plenty of vegetarian options or substitutes too.

Seated straight away and our waitress was prompt and curtious. Arrived for a late breakfast/early lunch just before 12 so ordered the Club sandwich with soup and my daughter ordered the Turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich with soup also. Both sanwiches were served on lovely fresh brown bread with plenty of ingredients and were so delicious and the carrot and coriander soup was gorgeous. Looking forward to returning.

2 of us went for lunch on a wet and windy Tuesday. The cafe was very busy so we were lucky to get the last table. The staff were apologetic for not having the table cleared but were attentive and helpful. The coffee was really good and our sandwiches tasty and filling. The baked goods were obviously home baked and delicious. I will be recommending this place to others.

I just love this place and wish there were more food outlets like it to cater for the growing numbers of healthy eaters. I've eaten there quite a few times but didn't realise until today that it had a Trip Advisor entry. The food is vegan and vegetarian and everything is fresh and tasty. There is a choice of two hot meals for lunch, normally curries/stews servied with rice, and they make for a delicious and filling lunch at a good price. The salads are innovative and crunchy. It's tucked into a little side street off the Main Street in Maynooth but is easily accessible. I normally eat in, perching on one of the high stools at a communal counter or at one of the three small tables, but everything is available for takeout also. Even the desserts manage to be moreish yet healthy. The owner is very friendly and seems committed to healthy vegetarian food. I believe he's a former chef. Well done to all at Beetroot.

We stopped in on a recommendation. They have a fabulous breakfast menu. I had the black pudding hash and my friend had the vegetarian hash. Both dishes were absolutely gorgeous. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. In addition to the great food and warm welcome, I was delighted to see hand sanitizers at the serving hatch and at the doorway into the kitchen. Also every time the chefs werenât serving up dishes, they were cleaning down the surfaces. Made me feel very confident about the food I was getting. Weâll definitely be back
