The food and service were excellent. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it was totally worth it.

This lovely little cafe is just off the lobby of the Pontchartrain Hotel on St Charles Ave. We ate there a couple of times while staying at the hotel. It is lovely with a pleasant staff and delightful but limited menu. The coffee is delicious and we had that offering every morning we were there. They also have wonderful muffins. Not sure if they are made on site but they were outstanding (especially the blueberry and carrot muffins). One day we ate a full breakfast and I had the omelette with pimiento cheese, bacon and hollandaise sauce. It was served with a small side salad and wonderful garlic hash brown potatoes. The street side seating allows you to watch the interesting people walking by even early in the morning. Delightful neighborhood cafe with interesting art work on the walls. Seems no one could identify the artist but as a patron of the cafe, the art work adds a lovely touch to the ambiance.Thank you for the kind words, John! We are thrilled you enjoyed your experiences at the Silver Whistle Cafe! We hope to see you again next time you visit New Orleans!

A new twist in the modern world of breakfast traditional New Orleans cooking with a bit of south America thrown in. A great place to cure a hangover and mingle with friend-seat in a cozy red booth or brave the wild backyard and eat with nature (friends ar
We arrived at a good time, so we were seated quickly. If you have to wait to be seated, there is a sign-up sheet right by the door to write your name. Just FYI. The service was very friendly. As noted in other reviews, it did take quite a long time for our food to arrive, once we ordered - maybe 30 minutes. It was busy though. By that time, people were waiting to be seated. The portions are not oversized - but just right to be satisfied. The coffee is good. Diner atmosphere. Worth a try.Thank you very much, we appreciate the kind words and take making your experience better every time if there is a next. We apologize for any wait time and work daily to improve the time it takes to feed our guests. Thank you for the understanding and we hope you will come again.

The Two Chicks Cafe is somewhat difficult to find as it is located inside the building at 901 Convention Center Blvd, but we were glad we eventually found it. The "Under the Sea Omelet" was fantastic! It contained crab meat, shrimp, brie, bell pepper and green onion. The "Crab Cake Benedict "was also very tasty. Our server was friendly and efficient, and she took good care of us. The cafe is a great place to have breakfast!

We are a counter-service cafe with a heavy emphasis on high-quality, fresh breakfast and lunch options. In addition to our cuisine, we carry a unique array of sustainable, micro-sourced coffees from Equator Coffee Co, and a wide variety of loose-leaf teas
Ummmmm WOWWWW!! Great Spot. Great Vegan Food. Great Service. This place was by far the best vegan meal I've had in New Orleans. They have tons of vegan options and offer no dairy milk for coffee...almond, soy and coconut. What the vegan ordered...Vegan Ranchero w/ Tofu Side of PotatoesVegan QuesoWhatâs the non vegans ordered...Pork Chop. Side of Biscuits w/ Peppered Jelly. Vegan Rancheros w/ an egg. The Vegan Queso was like nothing I've ever had. Perfect amount of spice and very creamy. This place doesn't disappoint. Great please for vegans and non vegans. Everyone will have a great meal at this place. They do not serve alcohol but they have great fresh juices. Do yourself a favor and come here. You will not be disappointed!!

We had breakfast here this morning after a year's absence from the city, and it is as good as it was. As excellent, I mean. The omelette is still perfectly cooked and the mushrooms are nice and chunky; the buckwheat pancake, with banana, blueberries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar, is still my favorite restaurant pancake of all time. The broiled tomato is probably what a tomato most wants to become. The coffee is also excellent. The only fault is in the maple syrup, but then we live in upstate NY and get our syrup from our own trees. We are spoiled... . And as to the service: you couldn't ask for it to be nicer, friendlier, or more efficient. Of course, you could ASK, but you couldn't get it!

This cafe has the best breakfast in New Orleans and is worth the wait. I had the banana French toast and it was awesome...no syrup needed. Every one in my family had something different and said their food was great.

Excellent breakfast, reasonably priced and the service was super! We had a selection, omelette, eggs with salmon, and the fried pancake balls. The grits were as good as we have ever had, even in Texas. Small place but worth a short wait.
