Needed a quick full English and hadn't tried this place yet. Usually head to the Acorn which is a Weatherspoons. Well, the acorn has lost a customer because this place is a gem. The owner is a good laugh and the cappuccino I ordered came on a tray with chocolate coffee beans and all the extras. The breakfast was well presented on a rectangular plate and not greasy. You can sit inside or out, even in the rain, as there is a cover. Better ingredients than Weatherspoons at the same price, instant service, and a real effort to make your visit a pleasureable one.

Finally, a cosy, classy and friendly coffee shop/ bar that has it all in Sutton Coldfieldâ¦.great wine, craft beer, cocktails and cakes.Location:Located in Streetly Village within Little Aston, it has free parking in front and plenty of off-road parking to the side (not that youâll want to drive) :-)Drinks:A great selection of wines and craft beers which you can help yourself too, they call them the wine and beer walls, you get given a card which you put credit on, you then use that card to help yourself to whatever you like. They have about 20 bottles of wine and half a dozen craft beers that you can choose from. A fantastic idea, no more queuing at the bar to get your drinks (they do provide table service for cocktails etc..).Service:Itâs like walking into your friendâs home, thatâs how they make you feel. The 2 brothers that run the bar are extremely friendly and hospitable. Itâs the local youâve always wanted, they remember your name and your favourite drinks and make you feel very welcome. This bar will appeal to everyone, familyâs, laptop workers (I love working here with a coffee and cake in the day when I can), wine and beer enthusiasts through to people wanting to pop in before or after a meal. Keep an eye out for their food events. I went to their Barbadian & Greek ones and they were amazing! This is a must visit for all, highly recommend it.

Coffee shop/Restaurant providing breakfasts, snacks, main meals and afternoon teas. All our food is home cooked on the premises. Roast meat from local butchers and fresh vegetables from nearby farm. We are situated close to the Cathedral and have outside
Visited as a family of 4 on the 4th January. Ordered 2 jacket potatoes, a ham sandwich and childrenâs chicken nuggets and chips plus 4 soft drinks. Came to a very expensive £27! Made two requests, no beans on childrenâs meal and crisps instead of salad on the sandwich - both not actioned and when we asked for this to be changed once we got the food they refused to change the salad for crisps on my daughters sandwich. We therefore paid £5 for her to eat a slice of ham on two slices of bread! No atmosphere and toilet was dirty - beware they donât take cards either. Wonât be returning or recommending. We are sorry we could not provide crisps with your daughters sandwich and only salad garnish as stated on our menu. If we had crisps available we would have happily provided them for her. In response to your comments regarding our toilet, we routinely check the toilet as our staff also use the same facilities and would have immediately put any problems right.

Went in here a couple of days ago while in Lichfield for the day. Small place so luckily we got a table. Big menu with plenty of choice, something for everyone. Big portions of very tasty grub, it filled us up for the remainder of the day.I had the large brunch with chips and my Mum had the small brunch. 2 very tasty and filling meals and 2 drinks were like 12 quid. Great value for money.Staff were very friendly , welcoming and chatty. I do quite a bit of travelling and always like to check out these sort of places - local family run cafe's. Give me these sort of places over big chains or modern hip joints any day !Thanks to all the staff for our pleasant visit & I'll return again next time I'm in Lichfield.Keep up the good work , all the best !

A coffee shop where you can relax and enjoy great food and drink while your children happily play in a safe and stimulating environment. Everything that we do at little Green Frog is focused on making families with young children feel welcome and looked a
Today's visit with my 18 month old Granddaughter was very concerning as we witnessed a number of incidents where children were hurt whilst playing in the soft play area. The cause of the injuries were due to the number of children aged approximately 6/7 years old, being allowed to run freely in the soft play area. We saw one little girl kicked in the head in the small ball pit and another pushed down a large step as she tried to exit a section higher up. One of the older children was attempting to stop little ones coming down the slide and at one point pushed me out of the way where I narrowly missed catching my little one at the bottom of the slide. I understand that a party was taking place and the sign says `all are welcome` however, this cafe is targeted towards young children/toddlers and families seeking a soft play cafe experience. The older children that were allowed to play today were completely unsupervised and this created an incredibly stressful and potentially harmful environment for my granddaughter to be in. The staff appear to be pushed to the limit, it took 30 minutes for our simple lunch order to be fulfilled, this was surprising and frustrating especially as no other tables were waiting for food at this point. On arrival we waited 15 minutes for our table to be ready and then felt pressurised to leave after 70 minutes as the waiter began sweeping the floor around us and could be clearly heard telling the next customer he was waiting for us to leave. I spent £37.00 here today. Not a cheap sandwich option for 3! I understand that parents are responsible for the behaviour of their own children however, I do feel the cafe has a responsibility to its customers to provide the service it is selling which is for young children to enjoy soft play. Perhaps a segregated area for older children would be the safest answer. I didn't feel comfortable approaching the staff today to voice these concerns and had heard the way many passing customers had been turned away as we were seated by the door! Today there could have been a serious accident at the cafe. I would also suggest some sort of walkway system as I saw many hot drinks being carried by staff to tables as little ones were running around the same area.

Coffee shop/Tea room near the Cathedral in Dam Street. Situated in a pedestrianised street on two floors with courtyard garden. Providing breakfasts, mid morning snacks, main meals and afternoon teas. Table reservations taken
Dropped in here today. Limited menu but what they do is done very well which suits me. The building is very quaint and interesting and the staff are pleasant. They don't advertise it well but there is a back garden/yard available to sit in which is a real sun trap. We are pleased you found our courtyard garden. Although it is only small with a few tables and chairs we do find that it gets extremely hot as it is very sheltered. Our menu hopefully offers a selection of breakfasts, snacks and main meals to suit all. As it is a grade II listed building our kitchen is very small so it does limit our menu but feel sure everyone will find our home-cooked food delicious. Hope to see you again soon.

Lovely cafe with quirky decor. Loved all the quotes on the walls. Went with a Vegan friend. Had a latte made with oat milk... Wow it was tasty. Might even get some for home. Tried the Almond and Raspberry slice and it was yummy. Lovely smiley service and would definitely recommend even for non vegans the menu looks tasty.

I was catching up with a friend who I hadn't seen for 10 years and we were looking for a cafe on a wet Saturday. Saw this, liked the quirky name, and more so the relaxed interior with mismatched vintage crockery and eclectic furnishings and decor. We spent quite a while here, having found a comfortable sofa with coffee table, and had seconds of tea & coffee. The cakes looked delicious and we both had a gluten free lemon cake for no other reason than it looked so good. It didn't disappoint. If I'm ever in Lichfield again I'll make a point of coming back here. Even the loos are out of the ordinary!
