Awaiting our flight to LAX, we stopped by Players for a breakfast cocktail⦠Mimosas and a bloody Mary. The bartender, Mario, is amazing, super friendly, and makes a damn good drink. The hostess that sat us was attentive and friendly. We didnât have food but our neighbors food looked tasty. There are tons of televisions playing all types of sports. Not a bad place to hang while awaiting our flight. And, Mario rocks!
Got a quick bite to eat here after picking up car rental after flight in. Good food, good service, and friendly staff. Highly recommend if you need a quick bite to eat from a local shop.
This cafeteria is a great place to stop either for breakfast or lunch on your way to beach, located in the very center of the city of Liberia, short cake is one of my favorite places to eat in Liberia, the chicken sandwich being one of my favorites for breakfast and let yourself be blown away with one of the lunch of the day, which every time they got something different for you. And for pastry I would try the banana cake. Its a small cafeteria with the heart and food of a fine dining restaurant.

I leave 4 times a year from Lieria Airport and each time I would take my breakfast and coffee in this cafe before my departure. The service remains consistently bad, the prices remain consistently high, and this time they even tried to pull a fast one on exchange rates - without realising that I operate a business here and live in Costa Rica, and therefore familiar with the exchange rates. My bill was US$26.75 for 2 tuna sandwiches and 1 latte. I accidentally paid 20000colones and the cashier gave me back US$4 change. I went back to him again after some calculations, and he told me that he would give me 4000 colones instead. This is not normal! I feel that I have to be more careful next time - not a good feeling to be ripped off! I then told the guy to void the entire bill, and I will pay in US$. He then told me I have to pay him $27 instead of what was on the bill. Normally it is OK to tip them. But when it's done in this way, it is not a nice gesture anymore.I need to write this review as during my last visit, there was a similar incident about high exchange rate involving another diner.Hi korin m, we are really sorry about this experience. We would like to know in detail what was the inconvenience. Would you please write us an email to: [email protected] ? Thank you.
We came here last year when it was a different restaurant! So now we arrived and asked for the smoothies from last year; they made them immediately and they were terrific. We promised to come back for lunch and did. The food was PLENTIFUL, well priced, and DELICIOUS. They got my wife's order wrong and did back-flips to correct it. Obviously people who care about the Customer and the Food. Go to Liberia and go to La Casa de Cala.

I really with I had taken a picture of the dulce de leche filled pastry but I could not wait to taste it. It was amazing, flakey, and perfection. My son had the apple strudel and he wanted seconds. Amazing bakery with good prices

Gourmet coffee, 100% gluten free food, vegetarian food, relaxing place, free wi fi. Typical costarrican food, delicious pastry.
Stumbled in to Posada Real looking for breakfast. A lovely dessert counter is at the front of the cafe, and as it turns out, it was all gluten free. And gorgeous. (see photo) Service was lovely, and subsequently the owner came in and chatted to us. She is celiac, and knows how to keep a gluten free kitchen. For atmosphere, quality of food and service, and great prices, stop by. It's also a good place to stop before checking in at the airport.Dear Deyto: Thanks for visiting us, we'll never forget you as our first review on TripAdvisor! Hope you enjoy our country!

Move all the way here after reading about this place in Fodors and on TripAdvisor. Their website does not mention anything about being closed. But when we got here, it look like the place had been locked up tight for quite some time. Maybe they are closed and rainy season, I donât know. But at least put up some signage, at least put on your website, at least do something to let people know. We drove around trying to figure out if there was an alternate entrance we were just missing something, but nothing. Saludos,Sebastien
