Located on the terrace of the Aotea Centre, Box Café and Bar offers great coffee, delicious sweet and savoury cabinet food and a selection of local and international wines.
We ended up here when the other bar we planned to go to was closed. It is quite a nice place with plants surrounding the tables. The addition of astroturf made it feel garden like. The place wasn't too loud so we could have conversations and we were able to people watch across Aotea Square. The toilets were located inside Aotea center and the bar did close quite early (around 20:00).Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback here.
We recently visited Lomabardi's for brunch. There's a pretty good selection of gluten free foods and coffees etc.The service was friendly enough however we thought the meals took a while to come given that we were the only ones there! And answering the phone when serving is never a great look, especially when the phone uses the same line as the eftpos machine! Felt like more of an average experience than a good one.

Banu and her team are friendly, professional, and really understand great service and great food. Quality ingredients, correctly cooked, means this was a great dinner, as always. A superb wine list, with regular specials, which are special.Try the apple crumble, which is superb. This place is special, which is why we are regulars.

Beautiful location, was wondering if parking was going to be a nightmare, but no. Plenty in the carpark and on the roadside. Place was packed so definately pre book. Service was really good, attentive but not painful. Menu selection is really good. Woukd highly recommend the mushrooms with bourbon bacon!! Oh yeah! The big breakfast with pork belly is very impressive and more than enough for a man size brekkie. Coffees are good. All round sun-soaked windows. Not too badly priced. Defo be back.
If you are a real foodie then this is just heaven. If you are looking to make something different for a special meal you will most likely find it here. The vast selection of fruits and veg are like nothing Iâve ever seen here.We visited the cafe too, it serves a good purpose for a light snack or afternoon tea, there is also another cafe in an adjacent building.
Visited Friday 2nd September for lunch. We called in to get something to eat. This was our first visit to a bakehouse cafe and what a great idea where you can select what you want and then order the drinks you want. The service was quick and the cakes are to die for. Just wish we had something like that near us at home.

We have driven past here for years - even been in the adjoining plant nursery but never actually gone in but as my teenage son has an interest in rail and we needed breakfast we decided to take a look. On this day it appeared bunting flags for a function were being put up but there was plenty of seating away from that. On entry the counter was unattended but that gave us time to decide what to have and when a staff member did appear they were on task but not what I would refer to as cheerful or welcoming. We decided to sit in a carriage that didnât have a play area - carriage appeared only slightly modified for cafe purpose, filled with historical photos and if you are interested you can look up the carriage manufacturer and user history online. Certainly reminded me of trips on the Tranzalpine train in the 1980s. Food and hot drinks arrived in a timely manner and were certainly good value and worthwhile. Generally a good experience - intend to visit more often now.

We stumbled onto the food vault today while driving to Muriwai beach from Auckland and were pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. The coffee was great and the open sandwiches were damn good. Highly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a break between Auckland and murawai. The frittata, however, could be better.

Family owned for three generations, Soljans Estate Winery & Cafe is located at the gateway to Kumeu Wine Country, Auckland's heritage wine region. Sample award-winning wines at the cellar door then enjoy exceptional New Zealand cuisine in the highly accla
Our outstanding guide John (NZ WinePro) made arrangements for his tour group of 6 to dine in fine style at this really lovely winery. As we entered, a really massive (with a capital M) group of Viking cruise ship travelers were just leaving. How fortunate could we have been? The wine gods were certainly smiling on us this day. John called ahead to make all the menu arrangements (so as not to delay the rest of our day's plans) and we all had something a little different but everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our very lovely plates of yummy-ness. No short-cuts, no pre-arranged buffet monkey-business, this was right off the menu with no reservations. Anthony Bourdain would have approved. We were served promptly, the quality and quantity were exceptional. Soljans does a great business and we were so fortunate not to be part of the cruise-ship herd (normally our traveling pack, I am embarrased to say) so this wonderful outing was even more memorable.Dear on_the_go_98765,I was very impressed with your review, you covered everything in a clear detailed way and I really enjoyed reading it. We are proud of what we offer and te see you write " lovely plates of yummy-ness" a great description I could not write better myself but I am sure make people take notice. John does a fantastic job of looking after his winery tour people and we like to add to the enjoyment by offering them our very special Soljan hospitality when they are here.We do get lots of Cruise ship groups visiting as you indicated and as everyone is special we do our best to give all groups their own space to enjoy the winery experience.Thank you for a great reviewRegardsTony
