This cafe/restaurant is situated within an upmarket grocery store which specializes in imported foodstuffs and good selection of wines. Had my breakfast here and so far so good. Portions are small but any orders from the breakfast menu are accompanied with a free cup of coffee/tea. You may request to opt for latte/americano/flat white for free as well. Coffee here is really good and is welcoming for me when I am away from home for work. Great place as well to catch up with a book or work on your laptop. Staff is friendly and attentive

Was recommended by friends, not very impressed. Tot will have some exciting dish, but nothing special. Drinks are so so. Bangers n mash, homemade sausages are hard n dry. Chicken schnitzel just normal...to be honest, not an outlet I will return. Hey ST,Thanks for dropping by with the family last Sunday and writing a review for us on TripAdvisor. Apologies as we were not able to impress you on your visit as both the savoury dishes you ordered were definitely tricky ones. For the home-made chicken sausages, we insist on using 100% chicken meat with no tenderisers or preservatives hence it would definitely be on the dryer side compared to store-bought ones or pork alternatives (which contains much more fat and flavors). As for the chicken schnitzel, we do agree that it is a simple and normal dish which we started off as a December special last year but decided to keep it because some of our regulars and kids enjoyed the simplicity of it. If we were to recommend you exciting dishes, all of our signature rice bowls especially our Chiu's Beef Rice Bowl are our all time best-sellers and personal favourite, followed by several pastas such as the Chiu's Pesto Chicken Spaghetti and Creamy Bacon and Pumpkin Spaghetti, all of which are original and unique recipes we developed and pride ourselves with.As for the Colombian filter coffee you have ordered, it is actually one of our favourite coffees this year that we have worked with hence we recommended that to you. It is very unfortunate that you didn't enjoy it, serving us as a reminder that we definitely need to improve on recommending filter coffees to first-time customers such as yourself.Again, we are most devastated to hear that Chiu's is not an outlet that you would return as we understand first time experiences matter the most. Our business is developed upon serving honest food and beverage whilst providing hospitality by building long-term relationships with customers. In this case, we have failed to show it to you and your family, but we will continue to improve on that. =)Best,Eugene

I am an expat living & working in Sabah & Sarawak for 24 years. My work has engaged me to live, work and travel extensively throughout these 2 Malaysian states. My eating experiences here range wildly from jungle produce in the interior of Sarawak to street food to 5 star hotel eateries in the cities.I tried dinner tonight at the Adelphi & Co restaurant in KK for the first time. This restaurant will not disappoint. I chose the rib eye steak burger with hand cut potato chips. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten, period. Perhaps not in the price range of many however the quality and taste of this meal is worth splashing out on. The sliced steak in the burger was tender and cooked perfectly, blended with a slight tang from the melted cheese and mixed with the other fillings to produce a juicy mouth watering burger.Nice ambience with friendly attentive staff. Great informative website too.Hello Paul, thank you for writing us such a nice review! Our team are incredibly glad that you enjoyed your dining experience with us! Your kind words definitely made our team feel appreciated. We do hope that you will drop by again in the future to try out other items on our menu as we change it once every few months! Thank you once again and we hope to see you soon!

Happened to be in the area and decided to pop in for a quick lunch with the 3 kids. The food was horrific. The waiter came and asked if me minded swapping one type of cheese for another on our Nachos as they had ran out, we said sure. Should of been a warning sign. When they did turn up it was neither cheese on the Nachos, they had melted those vile thin 'cheese' supermarket squares over the top of the Nacho slop. I raised to the attention of the waier who then admitted he had misled us by accident. Normally I'd let a minor blip like that fly but the enitre meal just felt like pig swirl, and a hefty bill presented at the end for said pig swirl. I would give this place another year or three to find it's feet as it clearly has teething problems. I'm sure it will come good and deliver the HR standard level of service but maybe not in the very near term. The view is amazing so if it is drinks only you are going for, I'd go.Hi Alan,Thank you for sharing with us the review. Tried on 21 April around 9:00p.m. With 4 people.Ordered some hot food, some pastries and drinks.Went there Due to few good recommendations from two of our local friends.Decor and design is just one of another 20+ KK’s “new” trendy “cafe”s where 16-23 age youth works with “bartender” aprons on whee minimum money spent overall the environment as wall is painted whit plaster of Paris and few wooden shelves placed along with few plywood tables. We don’t give a flying rat to the decor much as we care more food and drinks. After ordering the main courses and pastries, I would go to this place definitely again to drink coffee only.Hot food:They tried really hard to put a “restaurant type” menu where the execution was poor. The quality of the rib eye with Maitre D butter was in low quality which is understandable as the price was low too. But why? Pumpkin soup was chaos. Tacos was a Mamak food places in Tacos. As for desserts, the poppy seed didn’t have to be that dry, Some more cream could have put in the middle. All tarts have to be revisited. Shells were too thick across the board and they were undercooked. The chocolate tart was too hard as it was separated from the tart shell. Other tart’s too had deep cracks that proved the tarts were old. Lemon pie’s lemon curd was good but meringue was funny. Latte was good.

Well it was ok but it's only at the top of Trip Adviser because it is relatively cheap and yet hygienically safe. I had rice with chicken, sesame and orange. I could not taste the sesame but orange with chicken is a brilliant combo. The trouble is I felt lots of chicken bits were parts I would never normally eat. I classify it under emergency hungry and it was quite good but depressingly spartan.
