Stretta is a great coffee catch up venue with delicious food. Itâs very consistent. Very popular. Has heating outside if you prefer sitting in a light and enclosed area. Service is good and the quality of food is excellent. They offer gluten free options and the choices are endless.
Copper Coffee is a combination of a super coffee shop and a great antique store. A lovely vibe and some really cool pieces for sale; but some great coffee too. Its personality laden and well worth a visit. Loved it.
I am loathe to write bad reviews as I know the impact that they have on a business but do feel that constructive criticism does help and an establishment will eventually grow in strength if they take heed of their customers concerns. The play area was a smashing hit for my son. He loved it! He had the toasted cheese sarm and I the steak with pepper sauce. The meals took over an hour to prep (I'm usually chilled and don't mind waiting). There were only two other tables and what I assumed would be amazing as friends had only good things to say, was disappointing. My steak, overdone and with a mushroom sauce and chips as opposed to the pepper sauce and salad I had ordered. I think the manager could see that I was not impressed as came round to see what my troubles were. I explained and made it clear that I do not eat mushrooms (oi vey, I know I sound like those difficult customers...I'm cringing). Sauce was whisked away and on return, same sauce, mushrooms removed and a sprinkle of pepper... it's still a mushroom sauce. Son was having such an awesome time as it really is an awesome play area, that I didn't fuss anymore. Then leaving, I had ordered a slice of cake as I had a friend coming for tea later that afternoon. I paid R40 for a slice of cake the size of a well, half the size of my Samsung phone and same thickness. My phone is fancy, it's thin...laughing/not laughing. I'm no greedy guts but R40... Okay, moving on. Got home, small afternoon doze, friend rocks up and I manage to cut slice in half with it still remaining visible on plate. Take a bite thinking it is going to taste like gold. It better at that price, right? It tastes weird... I look at the bottom and it is covered in white mould..... aaarggh. Why me?!? I'm a good person! I telephone to advise that the cake needs to be taken off the shelf. An excuse on how it was made the day before and the humidity etc. was proffered. I, now feeling really bleak, and disappointed, asked if it was possible to be refunded.. "Yes, of course, just let me know when you're coming through and I will leave it in an envelope as I'm not always here". Lady, this is Africa! It's going to cost me more than R40 in petrol just to collect my R40 refund. Pffftt. Tsk Tsk. In saying that, we also do have banks and fancy Samsung phones with Internet banking. Come now. This is a really great setup and could be amazing with the right touch.Hi there, thank you again for your feedback. You visited us in the beginning of January if I remember correctly, and I clearly recall your complaint over the phone. I apologised at the time for the unfortunate mistakes that we made at the end of a busy service. Your mushroom sauce was replaced with a pepper sauce, they do look similar. With regards to the cakes, we have made smaller cakes since then, so as to sell faster, as without a cake fridge, the humidity does effect them. I unfortunately did not take down your phone number or the date, when you phoned me. Your cash refund has been attached to our pin board for the last 6/8 weeks. While in all fairness, I did not offer to reimburse you by EFT, neither did you ask. I incorrectly assumed that you stayed in the area, and that you may return or be in the area to collect your refund. You agreed to come and fetch the refund. If you would like to email me your bank details, I will happily refund you via EFT. Thank you. [email protected]
Small menu. Prepared to order. Excellent quality. Great service. Very tranquil setting. Completely removed from the car park and road, so no vehicle noise. Situated in a small, well stocked nursery. The two guys that run cafe and nursery are experienced and knowledgeable and can advise on suitable plants for every type of garden. Restaurant is small with indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of shade.Very relaxed with no pressure to leave.Have visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. Will continue to visit frequently.
The menu is a delight and although a straight forward English type breakfast can be had, it lives up to its name with some European variations on breakfast available.A selection of breakfasts were ordered by our table, and service was brisk and friendly. All the meals arrived in good time of each other and so we were able to eat together. Unlike some group breakfasts we have had when the orders trickled through and last order arriving as the first meal was already finished.Coffee was a good brew with a strong flavour. All in all very little to fault in this eating establishment, and certainly a place that we can mark in our diaries as " WILL return".

My wife and I visited Deborah's yesterday. She has a lovely retail retail where many beautiful, restored furniture pieces are displayed for sale. There are also numerous sitting areas with comfortable sofas and chairs to enjoy your tea. She has dining tables inside and outside all furnished in quaint furniture pieces. The entire setting is quite lovely. My wife and I both had quiche (I believe there are four varieties on the menu). Each was delicious and was presented beautifully with a wonderful salad. The prices were astonishingly low. We are already making plans to return
When you walk in you are instantly transported into a Mocambique holiday vibe. having had a busy day this was the perfect end to the day. Its not fancy, but its clean, the food is reasonably priced, its very good food, you can bring your own wine, the staff are extremely pleasant and the service is fast, really fast! We had good old Hake and chips, the portion was really big, the hake was beautifully cooked, the batter recipe is worth stealing, the chips were fresh, good old proper potato chips, the vegies we had as a side order were fresh, perfectly cooked. we finished off with kahlua don pedro. the table next to us, the lady ordered the prawns, raved about them, the man had the linefish, he said it was superb, we left them sharing a very large malva pudding and custard. very very pleasant evening indeed, we will definitely be back

La Verdure is a Real Food Cafe. We don't do preservatives, tinned and processed foods and fake flavouring. We make everything from scratch and have the most delectable dishes. We are a boutique coffee shop, that loves to ensure that each meal is properly
Really enjoy having many options when âbuildingâ my breakfast. Love their breads, especially the sourdough. Cappuccinoâs are not the best one can get in Kloof. Can be a bit noisy. Service is a problem in that on each of 3 occasions I have been there, the meal is served and then nobody comes to check if all is in order or if anyone wants another drink or a second coffee. On our last visit, a couple of the meals were not sufficiently warm. Small mistakes which could be easily rectified. I would visit there again. Thanks for your honest review. We are having a little trouble with our coffee machines since our fire in the front of house 10 days ago. We are working hard at getting things back to the standards before and will be there shortly. I hear you on all points and will be addressing them all. Would you care to call with more specifics? 082 5514106 - Value your input. Shay

Really enjoyed sitting outside on such a beautiful day,, our service was good and brunch was good. In my opinion, just very overpriced, farmhouse breakfast R105 and the eggs were not medium as requested and damaged eggs. But I suppose it is what you pay for because of the venue. Very unfortunate experience that although there were at least 5 street car guards andnobody said anything on our parking, when we got back to our car that was parked in the street along with many others as the little parking area were full we had an R500 parking fine on our windscreen. Nice experience but wont go back again.
