Reviews on Cafe food in Kingston, New York, United States. Kingston is a city in and the county seat of Ulster County, New York, United States. It is 91 miles (146 km) north of New York City and 59 miles (95 km) south of Albany. It became New York's first capital in 1777, and was burned by the British on October 13, 1777, after the Battles of Saratoga. In the 19th century, the city became an important transport hub after the discovery of natural cement in the region, and had both railroad and canal connections. Passenger rail service has since ceased, and many of the older buildings are part of three historic districts, such as the Stockade District uptown, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Rondout-West Strand Historic District downtown.

Passing thru Kingston and discovered this local gem! What a treasure! The food flavors are out of this world delicious. The breakfast sandwich and mushroom toast are 2 of the best things we have ever eaten. The coffee was superb. The staff and owners really know what they are doing. Donât miss Village Coffee! You will not be disappointed!
Graziano is a master Italian chef and the best thing is to sit at the counter and watch him work while having an extraordinary meal. His stews are divine and my favorite app. is the tuna tartare. His apple strudel would make the finest german strudel maker jealous!

A lovely informal cafe with whole grain breads, hummus, sprouts, veggies and wholistic vegetarian and vegan options. I highly recommend this nice cafe if you are looking for a creative, delicious and healthy meal! I had a whole grain breakfast sandwich with hummus, sprouts, avocado, tomato with spring salad and my husband had an omelette liberally appointed with various veggies. Both were the best in town. Coffee from mild to extreme boldness...alcohol available too.

Went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch with my girls. We were in town for a getaway and tried Pakt based on good reviews. They didn't disappoint! The atmosphere was chill and the decor We split the chicken and waffles, chicken fried steak and chicken hash (on the specials menu) and were delighted by how tasty all of our dishes were. My favorite by far was the hash on the specials menu. I asked to change out the side salad for a short stack of corn pancakes but they couldn't comply, hence the 4 stars rating. Otherwise, the staff was polite and the service was really good. We loved, loved, loved the Autumn Sunrise cocktail... local apple cider with oj, fresh ginger and bourbon. Just excellent. And be sure to try the homemade hot sauces. There were two at the table, the red one was amazing! On our way out we realized there were more hot sauce choices in the back where the self serve coffee is. Alas, we'll have to make a trip back from NYC to give those a try.

My partner and I were looking for someplace to have breakfast while admiring the recently restored pre- and post-Revolutionary era buildings on Kingstonâs historic Wall Street when we stumbled onto - and into - Outdated.Outdated is a vegetarian, self-proclaimed âAntique caféâ - part bakery, part café and part antique shop. Not only do they make delicious, healthy food, but everything in the café is for sale, from the antiques and vintage items on the shelves right down to the chairs you sit on. The owners make a conscious effort to use all local & organic ingredients, and everything - tofu, tortillas, jam, preserves, sauces, dressings, baked goods, cashew cheese, vegan yogurt, salsa, granola and nut milks - is made in-house from scratch. Being more carnivore than vegetarian, I had the huevos rancheros: eggs with tortillas, black beans, cheese, ranchero sauce, pickled jalapeños, pepita salsa, avocado and greens. My partner had the daily breakfast special, which was avocado on toasted sourdough bread with fresh fruit and greens. Both our meals were hearty and delicious, and the coffee and bakery items were also great! Parking is available on the street, and for those of you who know the area, youâll be pleased to note that the parking meters in the historic section have been removed to keep the street looking more in accordance with the period in which the buildings were constructed.
