We were recommended to go here for a drink by our Airbnb hosts as they said that the pub part, âCarollâsâ had recently reopened. We had such a lovely evening, the atmosphere was great and there was even someone in there playing a guitar and singing. We discovered that they did food as âToastâ, previously situated around the corner, so we decided to nurse our hangovers with a breakfast...an excellent decision. The food was lovely, well presented and we didnât have to wait long. The staff were really friendly made us feel at home. We even found that the atmosphere, although different from the night before, was just as lovely and welcoming. We returned a couple of days later and had the burrito.....again, superb, fresh and filling! If, or when, we return to Thomastown weâll definitely be back for drinks in the evening and a cure in the morning ;-)Many thanks.

We wandered in thinking what a quaint place from the outside. Some of went shopping and then sat in the cafe for a cup of tea and a homemade treat. The staff was friendly, the tea selection good, and my chocolate chip cookie was so very yummy. It was clean, had public restrooms, and was perfect place for this lovely town.

We loved this little cafe, upstairs from a bookstore. The service was great - the people helpful & friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. We had a table with a view overlooking the town, which was nice as well. We were able to get in and out reasonably quickly as well. Recommend for lunch!Glad you liked our cafe ,thanks for the positive review Celine

A friend and I went for a lovely walk in Mount Juliet and then rambled in for some refreshments in the Blackberry Cafe. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere in this busy Cafe thanks to 'Julie' who looked after us promptly and gave us a really warm welcome. The home baking is delicious. Definitely recommend a visit.

When visiting Kilkenny, I arrived quite early so I thought I would go look for a place to eat breakfast.I stumbled upon this little eating place. A small place yes but with a Irish charm.Food is normally priced for what youâre getting. You can breakfast and lunch there and everything is freshly made.I hade scrambled eggs with tomato and bean with 2 slices of toast. It tasted delicious and the portion you get is quite generous. Friendly owner and staff. And above all: no hidden fees or extra cost compared to restaurants in very touristic places.Definitely worth visiting if youâre looking for a cosy place to eat and drink.
