Reviews on Cafe food in Helensburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. Helensburgh (/ˈhɛlənzbrə/; Scottish Gaelic: Baile Eilidh, lit. 'town (or burgh) of Helen') is a town within the Helensburgh and Lomond Area of Argyll and Bute Council, Scotland. It also has its own Community Council. Until local government reorganisation in 1996 Helensburgh was in Dumbarton District and hence also in Strathclyde Region; prior to 1975 it was a small burgh with its own town council within Dunbartonshire. In the Middle Ages it was within the Earldom of Lennox, an area sometimes referred to as The Lennox. It lies on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde and the mouth of the Gareloch is close to the western boundary of the town.

Recent Sunday brunch. Good food - pancakes, hot filled rolls, excellent scrambled eggs. Lovely terrace in full sunshine on a nice square. Only quibble was rather slow service, but a group of ten cyclists had arrived (unannounced) before us so understandable.

Visiting Helensburgh for the day we walked along to this venue at lunchtime. there was a good choice on the menu and when our meal came the quantity and quality was good. it was also good value for money and nice to look over the Firth of Clyde while eating. We will return.

A café/deli/store (named after our favourite Neil Young song) on the western shores of Gare Loch in Clynder. We offer a range of homemade traditional English and Scottish food, an extensive wine menu and a range of deli/store items to take away. Thank you

Went in with my picky 14 year old son, and they could not have been more helpful. Staff very considerate and attentive. Food is good quality and well presented, and thus slightly more expensive. The staff are their biggest asset in this cafe.

Not a very friendly welcome Ordered a tuna sandwich for my wife and a scone for myself with a pot of tea for twoScone arrived quickly. Tea arrived in a pot which barely filled two cupsTuna sandwich took twenty minutes to arrive by which time tea was finished as was my sconeTrip to single unisex toilet passes the kitchen which did not look as if it inspires confidence !Toilet not the cleanest!High price for poor service Thankyou for taking the time to write your review. All our menu is cooked/prepared to order and in order of first in first served basis. As our scones are baked early in the morning you would have had this instantly. We do apologise for not being a fast food outlet and that our super sized teacups did not appeal. As to regards to the toilets, we have on record from inspectors of our industry, that ours are the cleanest in the West of Scotland. Not sure who had been in before you as we dont check on a minute to minute basis. I hope this explains your concerns in detail.

Dined here with my parents and family, 6 of us, planned on having lunch. A few people in when we arrived but not overly busy. My Mum asked if she could put 2 tables together to accommodate us all, only to be told by the owner âdo what you wantâ, charming!Got served quite quickly, coffees arrived then it went down hill. Waited an hour on our food, we hadnât ordered anything out the ordinary, just filled rolls. After waiting 45 minutes I went to the desk to ask how much longer we had to wait and was told it was just coming; people that came in after us were served food before us; another 15 minutes later and we eventually got our food but one order was wrong so it got sent back. No apology, no offer of more coffees. Havenât been back and wonât go back. Shame as the food was good but as a customer, donât expect to be spoken to in such a rude manner.

We stumbled in here out of the dreadful rain for a light lunch. Locals had highly recommended this place so we had high expectations.Perfect for me as I like soup and there were three on the menu to choose from. The butternut squash soup was amazing, full of subtle flavour and a generous portion. Followed by apple pie which was the best ever. All home made, and you can tell. Well done to the chefs. Great cafe, good banter and we will be back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Staying at caravan park roseneath were told about a cafe in kilgreggan small cafe but seafood specials on the board fresh that day and does not hit the pocket to badly if you are a smoker or like a coffee outside and look over to gourock and then you have that facility worth a visit good to see small places like this still surviving in today's rat race.

Other than to say this place is awesome and served us the best sandwiches weâve had in a very very very long time. The brown sourdough is so good I cannot describe it, homemade soups both perfect. Coffee also the best Iâve had for ages and the empire biscuit and lemon cake we carried out also superb. Highly recommend.
