We popped in to use the loo and have a cup of tea. Although I was disappointed with my cuppa, we received a warm welcome and there were plenty of comfortable and quirky seats to chose from. The decor is quirky and fun - and gives the pub character like nowhere else.

I love Dukes. Easily my favourite breakfast/lunch place in Glossop. I've lived here for a while now, and have probably tried every cafe at least a few times, abs this place is easily, consistently the best. Cheers Dukes.

Stopped off on my way home via snake pass. Fantastic little place, independent and well run. They bake their own bread and the coffee is wonderful. The butternut squash soup with roasted garlic was delicious, along with croissant and mushrooms and feta. Great little place, fresh ingredients used, great price, love that theyâre independent. The only thing I would say as a 1st time visitor, is that I didnât know whether to sit down, be seated or to order at the counter first, and the staff left me at the counter for a good 2-3 minutes while they did other things. A simple greeting with âtake a seat or âIâll be right with youâ would go a long way but other than that, theyâre a great place + highly recommended.

Lovely friendly welcome to the place. The staff are very helpful. Ordered a full breakfast, and a latte. The latte arrived and was obviously a just add water to a powdered packet drink. Artificially sweet and gritty. The breakfast was presented well, however thatâs as good as it got. The bacon was so dry, you couldnât cut it, it just shattered as you put the fork in. The sausages were anemic, and didnât taste of anything. Surprised if they were more than 5% meat! The mushrooms were super greasy. Very disappointing as this is billed as the No1 restaurant in Glossop!!! Really?!Will not be returning.

Enjoy our freshly made breakfasts and sandwiches alongside our home made, authentic Greek mezes, meals and snacks. A real taste of Greece here in Chapel-en-le-Frith!
We went here twice in the four days in Chapel, first time for lunch which was lovely. The second time we visited was for dinner. The main reason we came back was there seemed to be a lack of decent places to eat in Chapel and we knew the food was nice. It is only a small place and the tables are very close together.Thank you, glad you enjoyed our food! We do have more space upstairs if you visit again

Tried the falafel on pitta with hummus and 'tabbouleh salad.' Unfortunately the falafel was the driest I have ever eaten, the couscous was bland and flavourless with big clumps in the middle of it. The whole dish was extremely dry with a limp salad also with no seasoning or flavour. Plain cooked chick peas with a smidgen of grated carrot. Buy a large drink if you order this dish. Disappointed! Serious suggestion, try a few herbs, some coriander, spices, anything...

We have always loved the food at this cafe and travelled a long way to enjoy it. However, I have to say that last time we visited on our way over to Lancashire, we went out of our way to call in for breakfast. Although the cafe had been open 45 minutes before we arrived, the place was freezing and the radiators were cold. We kept our coats and scarves on, but the owner didn't take the hint, until his partner came and switched some wall heaters on. By that time it was too late for us and we couldn't wait to get into our warm car!! The new owners have kept the same concept as the previous owners, apart from the temperature in the cafe!! Will certainly not be trekking to Rosie Lee's again.

This is everything you would want from a cafe. Perfect food and drink, the friendliest staff, a wide range to choose from especially the cakes, and practical if you are walking, cycling, or just driving past.Nice little touches, including the jar of dog biscuits for our favourite friends.

Last Sunday of the main tourist season and it was packed, spilling out onto the pavement seats outside, just shows you how popular the place is. Busy yes, but it didn't stop the friendly staff serving up an excellent array of food and beverages. Number 1 choice next time we're in the area.

Millieâs Hayfield, a traditional tearoom set in the Peak District in the heart of the beautiful village of Hayfield. We serve breakfast, lunch, cakes, bakes and hot & cold drinks. All food is prepared, cooked and baked on site. Pop in for our full English
We have ate at Millie's several times, whenever we visit Hayfield. This is the first time since new ownership. We waited 50 minutes for our breakfast to be cooked. Delicious when it arrived, but we waited far too long. I had drank my coffee and had to order a second, by the time our breakfast was served. And the tea room wasn't busy. It seems as though the young chef worked alone, and we were so hungry by the time it arrived. The young waitress lacked experience, there was very little communication from her. Not her fault, I think she needs an adult to work with her. Not the experience we are used to from Millie's.Hi Stansnana,Thank you for your review. I apologise that you had to wait the time you did for your food. Our chef at the time was very experienced so I am surprised that she struggled to get your order out in time and for this I do sincerely apologise. Unfortunately she is no longer here with us and thus I am unable to investigate why there was a delay. As for the waitress, she has been with us a few months and is 18 - but I appreciate she does look a lot younger :) generally speaking we do have 'adults' around and we have a system in place for all staff to request additional support within the tearoom so I do apologise this was not done. However, I will speak with her with regards to letting customers know if there are any delays, and keeping them updated.Once again I do apologise that the service you received was not up to the normal Millie's standards and I will ensure that we work towards the high level of service we expect for all our customers.Kind regardsRukiya
