Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Hakone-machi. Nestled in the mountains, Hakone's trains, trails, and gondolas showcase the breathtaking vistas of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, including close views of Mt. Fuji. The sulfurous steam from the region's volcanic activity fuels natural hot springs, the centerpieces of the many spas and resorts.

If you alight the Pirates cruise of Lake Ashi at Hakonemachi, you probably won't miss the cafe. It is on the second floor of the building facing the gate of the dock. The window seats offer a nice view of the lake. I was there in a cloudy day, but I suspect (by my rough estimation, anyone verified?) Mt Fuji may be seen from the window at a clear day.The main attraction is the Japanese desert. The beef sandwich was really nice for a light bite. They serve draft beer in traditional large Japanese tea cup, which was quite unique and interesting.Overall, a good place to hangout and relax after you finish the long journey from Hakone Yumoto

This is a great little Cafe just opposite the train station, you need to go down a short alley (next to the candy shop) to find it. A couple of tables downstairs and 5 more upstairs. Upstairs also has a separate smoking room and unfortunately they get the best view of the river. The food menu is Cafe style, very nice food but a fairly limited menu. Coffees were good by Japan standards. Vego's be warned, the cheese and asparagus toastie comes with a big sausage! All meals came with a small soup and side of coleslaw, which is a nice touch. Nice quiet vibe :)

The café has pre-packaged sandwiches, pastries, hot meals, etc designed to take away or eat inside. The service is good and the café gets quite busy around lunch time. As it is at the station, it overlooks the platforms of Hakone Station as well as having a model train on a continuous loop on the table top at the viewing window. The food was typical café food and very fresh. It is made on the premises. We even had breakfast there while waiting for our train.

Lovely cafe within the Venetian Glass Museum. Good food and reasonable prices, we even had a live concert of Italian songs to accompany our lunch.

This is an amazing restaurant though not in the center of the attraction. I am not sure if they speak any English there. There can be quiet a wait during lunch hours. I waited for about 30 mins after registering my name. Once in, they quickly seat you and hand the menu. I ordered Pan Gratin, Omurice and Cheese Hamburger. Please note, it is not American Cheese Hamburger with buns, this is Japanese Cheese Hamburger. It is a hamburger patty served with rice and some gravy. The price is good value, around $10 or less per item. I couldn't decide if I wanted the omurice or pan gratin so I ordered both. Didn't regret a bit. The portion is big. I had hard time finish them, but since it was so good, I just had to savor them all. It's a small restaurant, so be patient and you will be rewarded. Make sure the menu you order is still available because they ran out pretty quick. My pan gratin was the last one they made that lunch. Highly recommended for omurice lover!

We decided to tackle the route very early to beat the crowds and while waiting for the funicular at gora, there were no cafes open for breakfast. After a quick google, we found this place was open from 7am so we got the first funicular at 7:40am and got off at Naka-Gora. Itâs not difficult to find as itâs right next to the Hyatt. The set breakfast is the perfect way to start off your day, you can then get back on the funicular, ready to do the cable car at 9am! Thank you very much for your coming!!I make home made bread every day because enjoying for breakfast.

A cafe with a great view that is built as if it were floating on Lake Ashi. Enjoy a luxurious tea time, and also purchase your favorite black tea or sweets as gifts. Premium Shop and Salon de The Rosage located by Lake Ashi of Hakone is a dessert restaura
We had high-tea at this lovely lake side restaurant, right outside the hotel we were staying. The entire experience was amazing, since the chef made the famous apple pie Rosage at our table, which was such an awesome treat both for the eyes and the stomach. You MUST EAT here.

"Karaage" is a Japanese traditional dish that all Japanese loves. Deep fried chicken marinated with soy sauce is the general style of "Karaage" in Japan. But each house has there own recipe, and we give our "Karatto Hakone" style. We deep-fry the chicken,
Chicken and chips done right. My only complaint would be that I only managed to order three pieces of their delicious fried chicken.
