It's querky with a warm atmosphere and great food! I love the name too! Mischief &Mayhem! It's in an old house with a number of rooms fitted out within comfortable upholstered chairs, round tables, lounges with paintings and unusual creative artefacts Throughout. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food selection is different, delicious and priced well at $16 to $22 approximately. Even our 7 year old grandson enjoyed writing his ideas on cards. I would recommend it to anyone.

Table of 3 ordered meals 1 came out 10 minutes passed no other meals had arrived. Enquired about the other meals and coffees had not been passed onto kitchen. Yes they refunded us and the meals finally arrived over cooked almost uneatable but the first meal was perfect. Come on Pure if you make a mistake thatâs OK but the standard of food we received was disgusting.

My wife and I stopped in to this exceptionally well organised and run cafe. The coffee is perfect and well balanced if you order the large mug. The food was also of 5star level. It is a credit to the owner of this place. Two days later we were back with a group of 15, service was fast and once again the food and coffee was spot on. Next time Iâll be having the Pancakes.

I have been a regular here with friends for years. The new management has made some unwelcome changes, the most irritating being no longer providing cutlery wrapped in a serviette at the register. We now regularly forget to pick it up. It was bad enough remembering before but now it is much worse. In addition the quality of the serviettes which was minimal before is sub standard now. A minute scrap of very poor quality tissue rarely does the job.Having that off my chest I will move to the positive of which there is plenty. The venue is wonderful all year round. There is seating both inside & out & some halfway between on both sides. I recommend the Healthy Stack breakfast which my friends find too expensive. I love it.Staff , particularly Verity who is particularly wonderful are mostly very good although the new management appears to be pushing them very hard. Working in the tiny kitchen must be hell but somehow the meals keep coming. Most visitors just see the wonderful location. In good weather it can be hard to get a park and a seat on weekends. In bad weather fortunately for us lots of people stay home.We miss Henry the local seal who apparently died last year.

Recently, I had breakfast at this charming establishment, which is located a short and pleasant stroll from the main Glenelg shopping and cafe precinct.Itâs worth the effort of finding this charming establishment, which is staffed by friendly folk who are most obliging and hospitable. The food is excellent, with a focus on freshness and authenticity.I had a very tasty pulled pork burger - a special on the day - which was accompanied by some perfectly crisp crackling - an extra treat (see picture). My dining companions also expressed satisfaction with the food, service and ambience. We were fortunate to dine in the open courtyard at the rear of the establishment; you also can dine inside. An adjunct to the business is a shop offering an array of fresh provisions - well worth a look during your visit.Highly recommended when youâre in the area!

The Strand is my favorite restaurant to eat in Glenelg. Iâve been there with friends and family many times for various occasions and special nights out. I recommend it often at my workplace to colleagues and to other friends. I really love the food, friendly staff and atmosphere. Iâm not sure if the restaurant has the same chef, or if itâs changed hands but last weekend it just didnât deliver. The same friendly staff were great as usual but the food wasnât as good. I always order the same dish - a delicious salad dish which is covered in an amazing lemon dressing. My meal this time however looked dry and didnât appear to have any dressing at all. My husband politely asked if they could bring me some. Apparently the chef has changed the sauce to beetroot, which (to me!) wasnât nearly as good. My sister and mother ordered Morton Bay bugs. These meals had a few Morton Bay bugs on a massive bed of raw red cabbage with a tiny sprinkling of walnuts and beetroot. Although the copious layers of red cabbage was colorful garnish, it was inedible. Hungry afterwards, we told the waitress it was inadequate and she said sheâd change the menu to make the meal an entree rather than a main meal. My sister and mother subsequently asked if they could possibly have some bread because they were still hungry. We were disappointed afterwards to see that we were charged extra for both the bread and the dressing. To me, it just seemed petty. When I mentioned it politely to the waitress afterwards, she gave me a dollar coin. It was a kind gesture but I felt it was demeaning and it embarrassed me. The other meals at our table were delicious as usual. If it were my restaurant, I wouldnât want people to leave dissatisfied and /or hungry.

Coming from Qld I was looking for a restaurant that served a vegetarian gnocchi (fritti di gnocche con zucca). The reviews were good so we went an tried it out. It was amazing...my husband had the pasta marinara (frutti di mare soffocato) and enjoyed it. Loved the cosy atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Will definately go again when in Adelaide/Glenelg.
