A great place to start your day on Paxos with a good coffee, as we did. Located on the waterfront, very near to the central church, you can enjoy the view of the bay with the fishing boats and the small and large yachts from around Europe.Always a pleasure to serve you sir...Looking forward to see you again!!

Atmospheric kafenio that also serves some great meze dishes to accompany beer or wine. We spent many hours each evening playing tuvli (backgammon) whilst soaking up the atmosphere.

If you fancy a quality Italian meal with delicious Italian wine then walk a little further along the harbour from the main square to sit on the harbour side but with a more peaceful environment. Great for people watching and looking at the lovely yachts in the harbour.

Got four slices of greece white bread and two pieces of something like meatloaf. A side salad and pommes. That's not a hamburger, it's something completely else. At first I was thinking that maybe they never have seen a hamburger in this town, maybe you can't see Hollywood movies at the cinema (never saw any cinema) but then I saw other restaurants that served something that actually looked like a hamburger. Like, with round bread and 100% meat.

This became a popular venue for both pre and post dinner drinks and cocktails. The setting is perfect, right on the harbour front with water lapping at the edge, superb views of the boats, what better way to spend watching the world go by? Not too pricey and there wasn't a drink they couldn't make.

Small cafe / bar / restaurant on the oceanfront of Gaios, a town located on the island of Paxos in Greece.
Not a place that will attract you from first sight! But .... the politeness and food will make you think twice. Try their steamed mussels, which are wonderful, fresh tuna tagliata amazing, home made pasta tasteful!!! Must Visit !!!! Prices are very good for the high quality of food.

Great food, a little pricey, surprised at the modern dining area at the back. Lovely waitress service. On a windy cool night my wife said that it would have been nice to have had some shawls on offer to put around her shoulders as we werenât expecting that the evenings weather inclement. Also for the price that we were paying it would have been nice to have linen napkins rather than paper which just kept blowing away in the wind! It would have been five stars otherwise.Great Quinoa and smoked salmon salad and Tuna tartare starters. In fact the starters were so good, that we would have liked to have had some more for our main courses..

We loved the outlook of the bar and the amazing alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail selection. The staff were lovely and even though we had one drink each, the next day they remembered us what we had to drink and offered suggestions for another tipple. Very chilled atmosphere and we would recommend this place as it is out of the hustle and bustle of the main square.

Cafe Bar, Brunch & Cocktails At Small square Gaios Paxoi Spendid Coffee and Drinks Excellent Service
All the cakes etc. seem to be freshly homemade, so it's possible that not everything on the menu is actually available. Everything we had was delicious though. The service was excellent too: one of us was looking for a particular vegetarian dish, which wasn't on the menu, but, after offering a few alternatives, they said "well, actually that's not so hard to make - can you wait 1/2 an hour?" (As an aside, the waitress speaks very good english.)Since it's round the corner from the main square, it seems to be less patronized than it deserves.I can particularly recommend the blueberry ice-cream.
