I have recently moved to the area and am so excited to try the new eateries around me. I started with Treehouse for bunch on a lazy Sunday morning. The interior is leafy, warm and full of texture. The staff were welcoming and accommodating (as they were very busy). Sitting at the central table in the middle of the restaurant, my partner sister and I were quickly issued with menus, had our drink orders taken and water had brought over. TICK!The menu has a range of delicious options, some vegetarian and gluten free. I opted for the baked eggs in a tomato sugo served with gluten free bread, my sister chose the sweet potato rosti with poached eggs and avo, and my partner had the mexikent served with cornbread. All were delicious. The meals came out quickly, and eaten just as quickly. Overall Treehouse is a great place to visit for a quick coffee, a late brunch, and I noticed they are even open for dinner.

A tiny little hole, very easy to miss, on a quite street in Elwood is beautiful and rustic. What makes this modern Cambodian fusion serving cafe good is the Food that is finger-licking-good. We ordered a Mocha, Hot Chocolate, Golden Latte, soft-shell crab burger, lemongrass chicken naan, crispy avo. OMG, both, the Naan and Soft shell Crab were juicy, yummy and filling. Crispy avo was DELISCIOUS but the portion was too small (and left my friend asking for more). Ideally, would have rated it at 4.5 but then the current rating scale doesn't allow us to do so. Total value for money....and the staff is very very friendly.

Really like this place. Have only been there for breakfast (lots of times) so can't comment on lunch but imagine it is just as good. Good mix of healthy and naughty dishes with focus on organic and free range. Great coffee too!

What a great little find. We visited here on our first night in Melbourne and absolutely loved the place! Gorgeous food, great atmosphere, good music and friendly staff. The Carbonara was the best I’ve ever tasted. We ate at the Banff on another 2 occasions on our short stay in Melbourne and each time it was equally as good.Great value for money too! Highly recommended

An iconic cafe full of beetle memorabilia serving good Aussie tucker. My Abbey Road breakfast was large and tasty but lacked creativity and our other dishes were ok but not brilliant. The fresh fruit smoothies were good. Service was good and pricing was reasonable.

Once you find this place (in Grey Street) you enter a whole new world. Away from the funkiness of many other cafes, this is a gorgeous place to come and have a meal. Today I had the waffles - OMG they were amazing. And then served a coffee that the barissta should be given a gold medal. The staff were lovely and seemed to enjoy working at Miss Jackson. However, service can be slow. Takeaway available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Parking is okay.

Overlooking Albert park and breathtaking city views, Fitzrovia has pride of place in our beautiful Federation mansion house with pressed tin ceilings, hand-made brick work, stained glass, baltic pine floors and a host of wonderful original features. From
Return visit - still friendly & enthusiastic service, excellent (healthy) food - something for everyone i.e. vegan, vegetarian or carnivore, relaxed atmosphere, open (& busy) kitchen, small but good value wine list. Highly recommended.

A pleasant cafe with some nice booths for families and groups. The breaky board looked attractive but was quite bland and coffee nothing special either. Servings are generous with most dishes costing $20 to $22. Service patchy.

Breakfast at the Galleon was just fantastic. The porridge with fruit as worth it alone, but then I had to have the tofu scramble too, couldn't miss out on that--just great! Tea was very good and the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are attentive.
