For great casual dining Toro Nero is a great place. Its small and intimate, offers indoor and outdoor dining, is licensed or BYO wine, and has a fantastic menu of wood-fired pizza complemented by excellent salad and side dishes. You had better book as this is a favourite with the locals and hard to get in at times.

On my daughter's recommendation decided to try this casual eatery tucked away in a back street. On a Sunday lunch it wasn't busy but told the rush hour is for breakfast. The menu is limited but nicely executed by the young Brasilian chef. The service by the kiwi waitress was spot on.

Cute setting on the rooftop - actually didnât know there was another entrance and space haha! The menu is a bit small but pricing and portion size is good. We had the chicken burgers and fish tacos- yum! Def go back.

Teavine House is set back from the road with lovely surroundings and plenty of parking. The table setting were very quaint and done out in pink for the expected arrival of a baby girl!Afternoon tea was presented beautifully with both savoury and sweet treats.I was disappointed with the beverages as we were offered a complimentary drink on arrival which some of us had and others ordered tea or coffee ...but that was the end of it..... A few of us actually were never asked if we would like tea or coffee after the initial service....just as I was thinking I should enquire we were asked to hurry up and finish as they were closing in 20 minutes......!! I have had quite a few High Teas and there are always plenty of teas and coffees offered and topped up.Dear Jane, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us, and were happy with the afternoon tea.I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with our beverage service on the day, though. The price of high tea does include one beverage of choice, and we are always more than happy to top up your tea pot with boiling water. We aim to provide a very high level of customer service, which includes checking whether our guests would like to order more drinks, and I am sorry this hadn't occurred on the day of your visit.I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you again! Best wishes, Teavine House management

From the moment you walk in you feel part of the family. The welcome is warm and friendly. The two waitresses and chef who served us were very good and efficient. We shared serves of Yellow fin tuna carpaccio, twelve fresh garlick prawns with chilli and tomato sauce, and grilled Calamari with balsamic mayo. All courses were presented with flair and very good indeed.A well priced wine list complimented the evening. This restaurant was full on a Sunday night, deservedly so.

Whilst on holiday in Burleigh Heads recently (from the UK) I visited the Harvest Moon restaurant with some family and friends. The whole experience from booking, welcome, service, food and final goodbye was excellent. The food (we chose eight tapas dishes) between us was delicious. The owner was welcoming and friendly and the bar and waiting staff super nice.I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

We often go here for breakfast on the weekends. We have tried other places in Burleigh, Palmy and Broadbeach but always find ourselves back at the Pantry. We are always greeted with a smile, the food is served quickly and there is no shortage of choice. We rate the coffee as one of the best on the coast too. Great service with a smile, excellent food and awesome coffee, if this place doesnt satisfy you nothing will. Why go and stand in line with the other wood ducks over the road for crap coffee and ordinary service when you can be served at a table by friendly happy people. Its ok your phone will work from here too so you can still take your selfies.

Currumbin is still a seaside village with a pristine white beach, relaxed lifestyle and a small local community. The Elephant Rock is an iconic part of this community, established since 1990, and having a complete renovation in 2007 to create a fresh invit
We happened to stumble across this little gem for breakfast whilst on our recent holiday. I ordered the âeggs bennyâand my hubby ordered eggs three ways. They were delicious. We were also very pleasantly surprised with our tasty coffee as my husband is a long black snob. The view was also pretty impressive- with all that ocean- and we suspect this cafe is a local favourite by all the clientele. A Currumbin must.

We ended up here by shear happenstance whilst looking for a place to have lunch last Sunday, when we were meandering throughout the Tallebudgera Valley. It was very good, service was spot on and the food was great. We'll be back for breakfast one day ...anybody who has fillet steak as part of their Big Breakfast has got my vote.

Another visit to Avvia and as per usual the atmosphere, staff service and food was amazing. Not often do you find consistency of this kind I'm restaurants. Perhaps it's because they pride themselves on ensuring a dining "experience" above all else. Started with prawn dumplings, then we shared the lamb and prawn gnocchi. Finished with chocolate souffle. We accompanied our meal with a beautiful bottle of Syrah. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and give Avvia a visit.Meagan, thanks for leaving such a wonderful review.
