A unique converted former pottery housing an independent cafe and lifestyle shops. All food in the cafe is freshly prepared each day; we serve brunches, lunch, coffee, cake and afternoon tea, with a beautiful Tranquil Garden for eating outdoors. Our shops
Booked an afternoon tea as a birthday present for today & it was perfect. Personal service by lovely lady who looked after us. The food was faultless . I picked here because I liked the idea of a sweet & savoury afternoon tea & no sandwiches & it ticked every box . The location is brilliant as we browsed the shop both before & after. Because they only serve the afternoon tea on specific days & times it means you are not rushed .. everything is fresh & you are made to feel very special . I had visited The bottle kiln before for light lunches & would thoroughly recommend it.
Food was well presented and didn't take long. Ordered a pizza and the price was pretty much what you'd expect to pay at an Italian restaurant. Seafood pizza arrived on wooden board, pickles on side and a saucy garnish. Although in appearance it resembled a thin crust Italian pizza, it turned out to be something else completely. Instead it was what looked like two pieces of Lebanese bread with some cheese etc in between. Really unusual and to be honest we did feel a bit ripped off, but it tasted ok. If they used real pizza dough it would have been reasonable value but for what we paid, not worth another visit. Most people eat the fried chicken here, and there are always customers, so I would suggest giving that a go, it might be good...
We went to this cafe in Eastwood today for a simple brunch. The cafe is clean and well staffed and the proprietor has a professional and caring attitude. Everything is waiter served. We had a toastier each and it came quickly with a lovely salad and coleslaw garnish. The prices are fair too.We will certainly be back.

Quiet, friendly and very welcoming cafe. Delicious breakfasts, lunches, snacks and cakes and excellent coffee. Free WiFi for customers. Children welcome.
Visited soon after their morning opening to find the place a hive of activity. Excellent for tea and coffee but expect to be tempted by the selection of home made cakes. Have yet to sample their full meals but will be back soon.

From J Boy of DerbyCalled in for lunch before the DH Lawrence tour. Not really a tea room but a wonderful place for a great variety of food, breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea. etcPrices very reasonable, good quality food with large helpings.Staff very friendly. This is very much a local meeting place where everyone seems to know each other. The building is very old as is the DH Lawrence museum opposite so this makes the toilets very inaccessible, they can only be reached by a flight of very steep steps almost impossible for someone with mobility problems.I don't know if there is a disabled toilet.
