How about a crispy baguette or a sandwich ? Or maybe a delicious muffin? Add a coffee to that and here it is...the perfect idea for breakfast or lunch. For those who need more, we recommend our tasteful tarts, soup and salads. Good Thyme isn't all about t

While in Drogheda during the Fleadh, we dropped by Relish Cafe two days in a row. First morning we sat in for coffee/tea and scones or cake, which were very nice but the service took 40 minutes. That day, we had the time to enjoy this interesting place adjacent to a historic church. The second day, we took our beverages as takeaway. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, vegan friendly. Recommended ... if youâre not in a hurry .

I love this restaurant for its relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and bright comfortable furnishings. The food is great value for money and I am a big fan of its breakfast menu which is both affordable and tasty.

Brought the family for a Sunday mid-morning brunch, all hungry and looking forward to something tasty ! There were only a few tables occupied and for some reason they placed us next to a table beside a play area. All was going well and ordered from a nice menu. Coffee and smoothies arrived for us at the same time, they could have spread out. Eventually The dishes were placed on the counter for service and while the waitress texted I went and collected them myself before they went too cold. As it was about 15 minutes since we finished the coffees we ordered more. Two young kids from a neighbouring table decided to crawl under our table to play while their parents ignored it all......most inconsiderate! Food was very average and you would make better yourself at home, in a less intrusive environment! Nothing special and no reason to return.

We were really pleased that we chose this cafe for breakfast while in Drogheda. Arriving at 9am on a Saturday it was almost empty, and we were able to have our choice of table. We went for one in the window. The menu offers quite a range of options, but is light on healthy options. We were really hoping for a granola option, and failing that would have gone for porridge. Unfortunately neither featured on the menu, but that was our only disappointment. There are several well priced, smaller options which include tea or coffee in the price. We went for one of these - pancakes (which turned out to mean two crepes), bacon and syrup. Later we shared a brown bread and marmalade - tasty bread. The coffee was particularly good (and I can promise you that is not something I often say) and the service excellent. We were offered top-ups on both our coffees and teas, and nothing was too much trouble. The toilet was good and clean too. This is a friendly, genuine local eatery. The name sounded a little pretentious, but the experience was anything but. If they had granola and/or porridge on the menu and we lived locally, we would head here for breakfast every week.

I'm sometimes amazed at peoples comments, sometimes they're little more than keyboard warrior type bull. On entering any food establishment it's so easy to tell what sort of experience we're going to have. Burkes is a cafe, if you want haute cuisine go to a restaurant that offers it. We just wanted a light brunch and we weren't disappointed, the fries were grilled on a regular grill, where we've often had items that had been sloshed around a deep fat fryer. The hot drinks were hot, and the service was very friendly and professional. Maybe if you smile at people they smile back, as they do in this place. A great place for cheap eats, no pretensions, and no airs and graces. Life is way too short.

Amazing service from our lovely waitress. Even though it was simply tea for two and a couple of sandwiches we were very happy. Great tasting filling and fresh ingredients. It hits the spot every time. My ham cheese and coleslaw was delicious and my mother loved he chicken club. Two sandwiches and tea for two for 15euro. Well done everyone

Have eaten here many times for lunch with my mam, partner or friends. Food is always amazing and when I know I am going I look forward to it all day.You can book a table for lunch which I would recommend but I have never been turned away if i did not have a booking. The other problem for me is deciding what to choose to eat because everything is so tasty!
