We knew the owner from previous visits and were happy to see him in his new venture, the food was exceptionally good and freshly prepared. Service good and sitting areas very nice for relaxed and enjoyable evening meal, also drinks available to chill out. Couldn't speak more highly of the establishment and will return .

Hotel ⢠Café ⢠Artist Residency Specialty coffee, food, music, love, surf & everything else in between. Mond is about getting up with the sunrise to the sound of the Indian Ocean. Itâs about being barefoot all day and slowing life down. And being in tune
We had breakfast twice at Mond in our week at Hireketiya and really appreciated the combination of great views, friendly welcoming barefoot vibe, relaxed but responsive service, and a varied, classy, tasty breakfast menu with food as good as any in a hip Sydney cafe. Worth a visit. Thanks Renato, Dominic and all the staff!Thank you so much. We loved having you here.

At the Hirikietiya end of Ddikwella Beach, this new spot has a hip and trendy feel about it. Lovely outdoor seating with plenty of shade and a skate board half pipe, if you feeling brave. The menu is not large but serves great rothi with a western twist and delicious salad bowls with interesting ingredients. Good wine and cocktails on the menu so great spot to watch the sunset over the bay.
Small Hostel with 8 Hostel beds, & 2 private studios, 6mins walk from Hiriketiya Beach. Dots Surf Cafe Hostel rooms have lockers, reading lights, 9' double layer spring mattresses and a access to a little kitchen with fridge, water filter, kettle and stov
Dot's Surf Cafe is one of those many places in Sri Lanka that take you by surprise. Out of literally nowhere, this uber cool cafe springs out of the landscape. Just off the main road, the cafe oozes relaxed charm. It has a good menu and excellent coffee. The atmosphere is the best - embracing the surfing vibe, with decor that naturally included surfboards and related items. It also has a lovely shop that sells beachwear, swimwear, trinkets and goodies. The Prawn Cocktail Salad was wonderful. On a bed of seasoned fresh garden salad vegetables were plump steamed and seasoned prawns. The produce was fresh; the taste and presentation excellent and the quantity generous. The iced coffee is interesting as it uses the sap of the Kitul Tree (kitul treacle) for sweetness. So once you get the caffeine hit, you are not left with the hangover of an overly sweetened beverage - instead, the sweetness is very light and mellow and the treacle sits at the bottom of the glass. Interesting!

My partner and I went for dinner here on our last night staying in the area and left wishing we had discovered it earlier! We did not stay there and cannot talk for the rooms, but the restaurant/outside eating area had a nice, relaxed, chilled-out hostel vibe to it. The staff were friendly too.My partner ordered the black Angus burger and I got the special of the day which was a prawn curry. Both were delicious and of a high quality. There is a happy hour 2 for 1 cocktail deal from 6pm to 7pm as well. While we can only vouch for the food we were served, all of the other food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious too. I'd highly recommend!Hi Kim,wauw! I'm very happy that you had such a wonderful time. Now you know our hidden paradise, so come back soon!

A beautiful Restaurant among the open jungle just meters off the beach in Hiriketiya Bay. Enjoy a sensational Burger or many other delicious meals from our A La Carte menu such as Vegetarian, Steak and Seafood. We are renowned for our Superfood Smoothies,
We decided to try Salt on our last night in Hiriketiya for the great reviews. Didn't quite live up to the expectations. The grilled fish in the fish taco was delicious, but it was accompanied by a blunt-tasting mayo and a tiny piece of mango. Could be easily improved with a tastier sauce! The chicken burger was OK, but nothing special. Sweet potato chips (or was it cassava?) were soft and tasteless and came without a dip. The place is a generic surf&yoga-place, so don't expect anything Sri Lankan from it. The service was friendly. The prices were high, but in line with the overall high price level of Hiriketiya. Still, there are some nice seafood and curry restaurants nearby with cheaper prices and way more value for money. Hi Guys, Thanks for the positive comment about our service. That is one strength we believe we have in our team. I'm sorry to hear the experience at Salt was not quiet what you hoped. We strive every day to add a little Western Flavor to peoples tables after having consumed many a curry elsewhere. Its always a big challenge training our young team on exactly how the food should look and taste so we will continue to persist with training and education. We hope you might come back and try us again sometime. Regards.

I love a good Poke since Iâve been to Hawaii a few years ago. Having eating Poke in Hawaii you become a bit spoiled and it is hard to find genuinely good poke places. I wouldnât say that the poke at XXX is authentic, but it was delicious. The rice was especially amazing and the tuna felt fresh. It was a great beach lunch, plus they have a groovy restaurant setting. Super nice place for an afternoon lunch, for sure.
