A family run business offering a full range of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas in eclectic surroundings, with one of the best views locally overlooking the Stour Estuary. Situated in the centre of this historic village, adjacent to the Swan Basin,
Friendly welcome, lovely views across the Stour. Our food was excellent. The burgers are exceptionally good, tasty and beautifully cooked. We all had different cake but were in agreement that each one was delicious. Will definitely go back.Thank you so much for your lovely review - we hope you'll visit us again soon!

Went to this café/nursery yesterday to collect hanging baskets I had ordered. As we were going to go on for lunch somewhere I asked one of the male owners who served us if the same person was running their café. He said yes. I replied she must have cost you a lot of business.. He dismissed what I said but then said to my husband the worst part is getting the staff and keeping them. Well the answer is right under your nose. Surely they read their reviews.

Visited Flatford Mill on a Monday, so nothing open at the riverside. After completing one of the NT walks, this delightful tearoom really hit the spot - great homemade soup, fresh bread on the side, yummy lemon drizzle and a well-earned cuppa served by lovely ladies.

Serving morning coffee, lunches, homemade cakes and scones set in the grounds of the Munnings Museum - no reservations needed and open outside of museum opening hours
What a successful find this was for our tasty/delicious lunch. On arrival we were amazed at the enormous choice of beautiful ouside seating, however, having travelled for a couple of hours on a very hot sunny day we were delighted to find space inside in the lovely cool tearoom. We were approached by very polite staff who took our drink orders which arrived within 5 minutes - so welcome too as we were parched! The Strawberry and Rhubard posh pop was the best flavoured soft drink I've tasted in a long time! Our food order was taken once we were ready - 2 of us went for a Ploughmans (excellent value for money at £9.75) - a large hunk of bread with butter portions, a generous portion of cheddar cheese, 2 good slices of ham and a pork pie together with the usual pickles and salad - certainly did the job of satisfying our 15 year old son's enormous appetite! I had the goats cheese on a pesto crostini with salad - this was truly delicious - the tastes combined well and I really didn't want the dish to end! All in all we were very impressed with the food, drinks and service. Thank you.

Small Tearoom set inside the Arts & Crafts Centre on the Ground floor. All our food is home made on the premises every day. Freshly baked scone and cakes to enjoy as well as a varied lunch menu. We also take orders for all the food we make at the Tearoom
Definitely a hidden gem in Dedham. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Wide range of food available on the menu. We stopped for a drink and cake, the range of cakes on offer was brilliant and they all looked really good. My chocolate cake tasted fantastic. All reasonably priced too!

our waiters and food were great. however we were prevented from giving a small bit of bread, cheese and banana to my 2 year old and told that we could only give her restaurant food. she is only 2 and doesn't eat restaurant food so instead of a nutritious snack we had to order cake for her !!!

Stopped off for lunch on a busy summers weekend. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Delicious ploughmanâs lunch, a little on the expensive side, but typical of a Tiptree tearoom.

Been here once before and greeted with same friendly and efficient service. Lots of little nick nack to look at and purchase. Ordered ploughmans with cheese and ham, and came with a lovely warm roll, homemade chutney and tastey coleslaw, plenty of pickled onions and grapes, lovely!!

Cafe, serving great coffee & tea. All day menu Selection of wine & beer
I traveled half an hour each way to eat here, based on the reviews. A pet hate of mine is empty tables in tea rooms waiting endlessly for âbookingsâ, so I sat outside on a little table almost on the road. I ordered a Brie and cranberry sandwich on granary served with salad garnish and jackpot crisps, followed by a scone with jam and clotted cream. I thought they had forgotten my sandwich after a 40 minutes wait but it was almost ready. What can I say? It was certainly worth the wait!! Best sandwich Iâve ever had!! I had 2 delicious decaf lattés and then on to the fresh beautiful scone. I was disappointed it hadnât been warmed at first, but I neednât have been because it was superb! The only other time Iâve had clotted cream with scones was in my own tea rooms several years ago and this clotted cream was as good. Certainly worth traveling for. 10/10.Hi Wendy, I am so glad you enjoyed your lunch. It is such a grey area for us as to do we take bookings or not!!! Being so small we worry if people like yourself have made the effort to travel & then be turned away as we are full or like you say we have that short time of reserved signs & empty tables, which I appreciate does not look good!!! Hopefully we will see you again & with a seat inside.
