Passed a number of times when it's not been open, lucky this W/E. Coffee is very good and the scones were still warm served with plenty of butter and lovely blackcurrant jam, which is a nice change. Service was efficient and friendly, price was very reasonable. It is quite small and narrow so may not be super accessible.

When we usually call here the Sunday Roast dinner is usually sold out, after having it today I can see why ! Gorgeous Roast Beef, roasties, cabbage, carrot and swede mash and a Yorkshire Pudding to top it off. absolutely delish ! Staff are lovely and friendly too, what's not to like ? We'll be back...... x

Cafe Ambio has grown from strength to strength over the years since it opened behind the Lakeland Motor Museum. I have never had a bad meal there and their roasts, cakes and scones are the best! As a local I may be biased but I can't find anywhere better, even at the local 5* hotels!*** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***

Must admit to never really considering a visit to this cafe before but we were looking for a cooked breakfast and as it was just after 11am nearby alternatives had stopped serving breakfast in favour of lunch items. The Hot Mango serves breakfasts until 3pm.The breakfast menu is wide ranging from 2 slices of toast for £1 to a double full English at £8.50 - all freshly cooked and yummy !Hubby had the big English breakfast and I had the Baby one and we shared a 2 slice portion of toast and a pot of Earl Grey tea which did about 5 cups between us. Coming in at £17 it set us up in grand style for the day. They do a range of sandwiches, snacks and deserts throughout the day

Ah, yes, LaFB, and its 'green' soup with crusty bread, the smashed avocado on sourdough, and even the humble sausage sandwich, were 'collared' as the usual suspects guilty of gastronomic excellence! What a place! Wonderful! And lovely staff too... where does the owner hide them? Lock them away in the cellar? If you want a calm, relaxing, unbearably tasty nibble far from the madding crowd, go no further.

Sorry but okay food with dining room full of strange clutter & a dirty tablecloth on our table to eat off. Definitely a unique quirky experience, but really shouldnât be the top rated cafe/ restaurant in Ulverston. Amazing that the faults you have chosen to state are surface ones food is not okay is excellent, table cloth is possibly ongoing unique experience top notch and yes we are the best!! maybe you should stick to Costa Coffee!?!

Popped in for a coffee and cake and was rewarded with an absolutely amazing slice of raspberry crumble. The slice was huge and melted in my mouth. It was simply scrumptious! My wife and sister had the millionaire shortbread and said it was divine! The coffee was also delicious. Ended up buying 10 candles and several cards as they were simply irresistible and great for little gifts. Definitely be back as from the moment you walk from the door the quality and quantity of goods, food and professional staff is utterly fantastic. A truly great place to spend a few hours! What a great read! Thankyou so much for taking the time to leave us such positive feedback, it's fantastic to be able to tell the staff this who work exceptionally hard every day. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sweet Pepper Cafe is a cafe serving food & drinks using only plant-based ingredients. It is a place for food lovers who want to try a different interpretation of popular dishes from our multi-cuisine menu.
Got the salt and Pepper chips which came in a soggy brown bag, when trying to lift the bag of them out of the carrier bag it completely ripped and fell apart. Poor packaging. Also got the carbonara pasta, was okay. But was not keen on the fact that there was full pepper corns in it Hi Tanya,Sorry to hear about your chips. We try to use environmentally friendly packaging to minimize waste as much as possible and so far, you're the first to mention about a soggy ergo ripped chip bag. We will make some changes.About your pasta, we only use cracked black pepper on it so not sure how full peppercorns went into it. Again, a first. Also, did you know that Sweet Pepper Cafe is just a phone call away? If you're ever unhappy or unsatisfied with any of our delivered products, just give us a ring straight away and we'll deliver you a fresh batch at no extra cost. Thanks for your comment and we aim to serve you better in the future.

Offering fresh homemade brunch dishes. We make everything on the premises from our delicious breakfast dishes, cakes pastries and even our own chocolates and truffles. Pop in and sample our local coffee and loose teas, a friendly welcome awaits.
We booked as a group of 16 on Friday evening. Three courses and an amuse bouche (which in itself was starter size) for £25. The food was faultless, every course was delicious & the service was impeccable. Portions were generous. Brilliant evening, we would definitely recommend.
