Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Craigavon. Craigavon (/kreɪˈɡævən/ kray-GAV-ən; Irish: Creag Abhann) is a planned settlement in northern County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Its construction began in 1965 and it was named after Northern Ireland's first Prime Minister: James Craig, 1st Viscount Craigavon. It was intended to be the heart of a new linear city incorporating Lurgan and Portadown, but this plan was abandoned and less than half of the proposed work was done. Among locals today, "Craigavon" refers to the area between the two towns. It is built beside two artificial lakes and is made up of a large residential area (Brownlow), a second smaller one (Mandeville), plus a central area (Highfield) that includes a substantial shopping centre, a courthouse and the district council headquarters. The lakes, a wildlife haven, are surrounded by woodland with walking trails. There is also a watersports centre, petting zoo, golf course and ski slope in the area. In most of Craigavon, motor vehicles are completely separated from pedestrians, and roundabouts are used extensively.

They do the nicest sandwiches here. Cant be beaten anywhere else in fact all the food here is lovely. The staff are friendly and the place is spotless clean. Its always busy especially at dinner time which shows how good it is. It has a lovely cosy atmosphere too.

Went here for a Boxing Day meal with the family. Had a starter and main course, which where both amazing! Definitely recommend the hot wings! The main course was delicious, the chicken and sauce were a brilliant combination! The staff were even more helpful with bringing a few round of drinks to our table without having to move. Will definitely be back!

I went today for lunch with my partner and I can honestly say this was one of the worst meals I have ever had! 1. Carrots and parsnips- wet mush, tasteless!2. Mash potatoes-grim!3. Roast potatoes-hard as stones!4. Sprouts- withered, hard, over cooked!5. Gravy awful!6. Turkey ok7. Ham hard on the edges, like rubber!8. Stuffing actually made me feel sick, I canât explain how bad it actually was. The management need to get a grip, food like this should not be allowed to leave the kitchen! We are very sorry to hear about your experience within Cafe Alana. We take all customer feedback very seriously as we are always looking to improve our service and food selection. Asked the waitress for Cod and chips, wife asked for baked potato and tuna, grandson chicken goujons. Presentation, non existent, cod? Nah, it was whiting, the batter almost wet, but inedible. Wife barely ate hers and I took the goujons away from junior, brown muck, not the crispy golden specimens he has had before. I viewed other meals on our way out, I'm guessing the 'cook' is not a trained chef? If boring, insipid junk is your bag then this is the place for you, otherwise stay clear.

Most dishes reasonable. The wrap with chips was good. However. Oh dear. When your complaint that the base of the baked potato is as hard as the road is met with âyou seem to have eaten it allâ when there is slightly less than 1/2 of the skin of the spud looking at you, there is no point in continuing. You lost customers today. And ones that might easily have come back and encouraged other to do so.

Called here after 3pm on a Monday and as they close at 4pm they still served us ok. We had scones and coffee. I would highly recommend the rhubarb and ginger scones - delicious. Presentation was excellent- butter, jam and cream. Staff member serving us was pleasant.

I've visited Kitchen a few times over the last couple of months and usually with baby in tow. Staff are very helpful, rearranging furniture to make space for highchair and then storing buggy. They do a wee bowl of mash, veg, gravy etc for toddlers. Seems to be a very popular spot and understandably so! Highly recommend a visit.
