Visited with my little boy (14 months) 15th May. Positive are it was clean. Ordered bacon and Stilton sandwich, would have liked some bacon with the Stilton - couldn't eat it. Large clumps of Stilton between bread. Came with salad, no option of an alternative. Got my little boy a ham sandwich (children's), again came with a salad (not baby friendly!) - he loves fruit and veg,but hates salad. Alternative would have been nice. Options for children are very poor. No 'lunch' option like you get in most places (main drink and side) - so he was still hungry after. Was going to order a scone to share, but got fed up of waiting. Coffee was cold. Such a let down for the Home Centre!

First of all I must explain although I have titled this review as disappointed it does not mean there was anything wrong with the food. In fact the food delicious as it always is.What I'm disappointed in is that the amount of flies that are swarming round the restaurant. Although I know at this time of year with the heat it means you have to have the doors open therefore attracting the flies I would have thought the management would have put some door fly catchers up these allow people in but keep flies out. I must admit this is one of my favourite cafe's but having flies swarming round me while I eat has put me off going back. These flies carry a lot of germs & the thought of them on my food disgusts me I just hope that the management takes heed to thus review

called in today to dodge the showers after being told we could take our little yorkshire terrier inside...bonus. We both had a pot of tea and a fruit scone...which was huge and delicious.Cosy and friendly place and quick service....will certainly call in again when we next visit the area.our first visit to cockermouth and we just happened to find this decent and reasonable priced cafe.we had 2 coffees made as we asked for ...weak..and a very nice fruit scone which was so large we were pleased we only got one to share. we sat outside as we had our dog with us so cannot comment on the inside.good quick service and we will certainly call again the next time we are in the area.

Iâd passed this place several times but hadnât been inside. Sarahâs is a combination of lovely coffee shop (gorgeous looking cakes, scones and soup) and art gallery / studio showcasing local artists. My partner had some delicious butternut squash soup while we sat beside a group doing watercolour painting. We also purchased a lovely little piece of glass artwork for our nursery back home and thereâs a nice collection of cards. Iâd highly recommend this little place - well worth a visit.

I pop in here quite often now since moving and always have the breakfast. Well cooked and piping hot with option for Gluten Free bread. Well worth a visit.

Popped into this café whilst doing some shopping in Cockermouth. Really, pleasantly surprised at the menu on offer. Great choice for vegans/vegetarians and absolutely delicious. Service was great, even loved the décor. We sat upstairs which was lovely - thank you :-)

NOW OPEN UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT (FROM 14TH MARCH 2016) Come and enjoy delicious breakfast, light lunch and afternoon tea whilst watching the red squirrels. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared to order in our own kitchen. A take out service is availa
We visit regularly when in the area and have time. Called in both yesterday - Good Friday - and again today and have to reinforce the views of others that the scones in Squirrels' Pantry are absolutely excellent ad genuinely are 'fresh today' as stated! I have become increasingly disenchanted by seeing this claimed in places, ordering a scone and being very aware on tasting that it most definitely wasn't 'fresh baked'. I consider myself a 'connoisseur' of the scone and can bake them pretty well myself but these in Squirrels' Pantry really are worth making a special trip for so....if you're anywhere near Cockermouth, call in - you may be lucky and see red squirrels too and the garden centre is also fantastic so...what are you waiting for, don't delay.

What a lovely place to go for lunch or coffee to catch up with friends. Small restaurant area down stairs with more seating upstairs. Also a small deli with varied choice of produce. I bought some cheese and bread which was delicious. Had lunch there which was very nice. I had cheese board with lovely choice of cheeses.

A quirky little place where customer service, good homemade wholesome and unpretentious food is at the forefront of the agenda. We make it our business to offer you the best we can at all times.
I decided to try Wild Zucchinis on a short trip to Cockermouth and think it's the most reasonably priced, friendliest place to eat in the town. £ 7.25 for an omelette with potatoes and three salad choices is amazing value in a place that can be expensive to eat out. Also my latte at £ 2.40 was reasonably priced. Both meal and coffee were of a high standard and the waitress and cook, who advises you on your salad choices, were very friendly. The good news doesn't stop there, though. Wild Zucchinis has a fantastic ambience with jazz playing at a discreet volume and is spotless inside. Also you have a copy of i on the table( tabloid version of The Independent), which is something interesting to read while you're waiting. Another reason to visit the restaurant is Poets Night once a month, and local community groups hold meetings at Wild Zucchins. Dogs are welcome, too.If you are driving, there is the Sainsburys car park over the road, where parking costs £ 2.60 for two hours, and there are regular buses to Workington.Awwwww thank you Glenn! Thank you for taking the time to write us such a wonderful review. We go out our way to welcome everyone in the best way we can and offering quality food is at the top of our priority alongside cleanliness and good service . Glad we hit the mark! Manon x
